I am happy to write a view for this excellent hotel. The service was impeccable from start to finish. I would particularly like to thank Chanthy and Sorphora on reception and Lykim on concierge duty. They were all so welcoming, polite and kind as were all of the staff. In fact I didn’t want to leave and I would have been happy to stay there longer. There are two pools and I enjoyed the smaller pool and chatting and sharing beers with some interesting American guests. The rooms and indeed the whole hotel are fitted out with wood from the Coci tree. The rooms are spotlessly clean, well maintained and very comfortable. Elegant is the way to describe the rooms and the hotel generally. I found it difficult to leave the hotel as it is so comfortable and the service so good. There is also a great restaurant with equally excellent service. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in and it was great value at £34 per night. The Royal Crown is positively regal and fully deserves the 5 star label. It is centrally located I would be more than happy to return here. In fact I intend to make another booking here at this fabulous hotel.

Amazing & friendly staff/service. Extremely helpful with local knowledge & how much to pay for drivers etc. Perfect location, beautiful ground level pool & rooftop bar. Not too busy, great breakfast & restaurant food, both local & western cuisine. Felt clean & safe!

Great hotel, fantastic location, 5 minute walk from the centre. Very clean, very kind and very helpful with every request. There is a spa that offers high-quality massages, in a clean and relaxing place, even if a little more expensive than the center it is convenient to go down in your bathrobe to have the massage and then return to your room. The only flaw, for us Italians, breakfast was a variety of Vietnamese and savory food, while desserts were very limited, but we didn't die of hunger, on the contrary 😂. I highly recommend it

My friend and I recently stayed at this hotel and i was impressed. The reception area was big and stunning with dark mahogany wood everywhere. The rooms were big enough for the 2 of us and our room had separate single beds. The beds were very comfortable also i might add. The bathroom didn't appear to have a door and had 2 showers, one over a bath and one free standing one which seemed to get water everywhere - not sure if there is the need for 2 but i guess gave you options. The hotel/bedrooms had character which i really liked. At breakfast there was a decent amount of selection to choose from. The location of this hotel is perfect, just a couple of minutes walk to all the local markets, pub street, restaurants etc. There is a supermarket across the road which is very handy along with cash machines if that is something you require. Daily free bottles of water were provided in the room along with new towels too which was great! I would highly recommend this hotel if staying in Siem Reap.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re thrilled to hear that you and your friend had a memorable stay at our hotel. It’s wonderful to know that you appreciated the stunning reception area, comfortable beds, and the unique character of the hotel and rooms. We’re glad to hear the location was convenient for you, and that you found our proximity to local markets, restaurants, and amenities like the supermarket and ATMs helpful. We’re also pleased that the breakfast selection and the daily water and towel service met your expectations. We truly appreciate your recommendation and your feedback regarding the bathroom design. We will certainly take that into consideration for future improvements. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Siem Reap in the future! Management Team

Convenience stores and supermarkets are both a 1-minute walk away.

There are many restaurants around the hotel.

The Old Market and Night Market are within walking distance.

The location is very convenient.

The breakfast buffet has a limited variety, but they change it every day, and there is a live kitchen for eggs and noodles, so it's satisfactory.

It's enough considering the price, but the amenities in the room are minimal, and body soap and conditioner shampoo are dispensers on the wall, so women in particular will need to bring them from Japan.

It's hot, so I think it's convenient to have a pool.

We/I have stayed in this hotel twice in 2023. First as a family then as a solo traveler.
The hotel is an older building but immaculately kept. Beautiful wooden floors in the reception area that are clean and polished more than once a day.
The staff on every level cannot be faulted in anyway.
The housekeeping outstanding at their job.
Maintenance crew attended promptly to a couple of minor issues on any given time or day.
Breakfast staff so polite and welcoming with a vast array of options.
The reception staff very attentive, well organised, and extremely knowledgeable. They are able to arrange spa visits, transport, tickets, and not to just the common tourist sites but other out of the way places too.
The security (?) staff very helpful, particularly assisting crossing the road and with vehicles departing the premises.
The rooms are comfortable with efficient air conditioners. We stayed in both a suite and a deluxe room.
2 pools and both are well maintained and clean. One with a poolside bar and one without
If you wish to stay in a deluxe room, please specify if you want a shower over a bath or a walk-in shower only.
Just bring your own flannel/wash cloth/bath sponge with you or purchase from a nearby market.
I would without hesitation stay at this hotel and I have no hesitation in recommending it either.

Not sure why it's got a higher star rating than it has, it was like staying in a pricey hostel. To add we had 2 Australian skool groups staying which added to the torture. We picked this based on reviews, location and giant ibis bus pick up, all which I could have found elsewhere at the same price with less of the headaches. Noisy old building with a basic waste of time breakfast, which is usually something I can take or leave, but when I saw what they packed as our breakfast for our early temple tour, that was the icing on the cake, pathetic, seeing as they initially complained when we asked for it, when other reviews had said Brill things about the takeaway breakfast.
Should not have wasted my time or theirs. What's more u have 2 pools on the street that are tiny with no worthwhile space, deceptive pictures And finally advertise non smoking, our second night, the cigarette smoke in the corridor was so bad that when we asked them to find out what was happening, and said it was the room across from us they did nothing. They asked us to move rooms at 11pm instead of the room at wrong. Brilliant customer service. Don't stay here there are lots of options around it doesn't live up to the reviews given.

Right now, I'm staying in this Hotel and fed up with the indifferent attitude of the staff. It is difficult to imagine nowadays but it is a fact that the Wi-Fi system of the hotel remains out of order.
In the whole day, they provide only 1 Litre of water for two persons, and only two tea bags. There is no way you can get additional water, an additional tea bag or even an additional sachet of sugar.
If you are a Vegetarian or a Vegan, you are doomed in this hotel. For Vegetarians and Vegans, there is not even a single option at all in their morning breakfast menu, the charges of which are clubbed in the room charges. Perhaps, they have yet to hear the words vegetarian and Vegan, or they want to thrust their food choices on their hotel guests.

Excellent hotel all round.
- value for money
- convenient location close to eateries and markets but away from the noise of pub street
- well appointed spacious rooms, comfortable beds,
- impeccable housekeeping
- jet spray attached to the WC
- separate bathtub and shower area
- loads of channels on tv
- 2 pools, spa onsite with reasonable prices after discount
- two supermarkets right opposite, should you need to pickup essentials or snacks
- rooftop restaurant
- helpful staff
- packed breakfast available upon request (in advance) when you have a sunrise visit to angkor

Improvement point: would have liked to have more vegetarian (eggless) breakfast options. Could just have bread and cereal as all rice and noodle dishes during my 5 days of stay, contained either meat or eggs. Tried speaking to front desk to place a request for vegetable fried rice but the lady on duty could not understand English.

Used to be very good, stayed here on previous occasions. Regrettably, don’t know if it’s to do with possible new owners, but needs to be avoided. There are plenty of better, and cheaper hotels in Siem Reap. Booked supposedly a “Deluxe king size room with balcony. Balcony was unusable due to noise from electrical equipment in hotel and overlooked staff accommodation and service area. For price paid, approx $100, you can get better accommodation in London, U.K. for same price . On contacting management they displayed a couldn’t care less attitude merely sending a standard response e-mail reply. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID !!!
