I just loved this place, in every thing. The room was big enough, great shower room, swimming pool a few meters outside my house, spa treatment excellent. Short distance to walk or take a "tuk tuk" to down town. Will be back definitely.
Although it is a little bit out of the city centre, it was only $2 on a tuk tuk to the main food streets and markets.
The hotel is stunning and so well kept by staff. The room was amazing! Fresh bed sheets every day...More

The Angkor village resort and spa is an absolute gem! Strolling among the gardens, along the winding 200 metres long river pool to go for breakfast is just the best way to start the day. We stayed 7 nights in the deluxe suite, and I...More
We loved the intricate wooden carvings everywhere, the plants, the open-air design that makes the whole place feel like one big summer camp/colonial villa. The river-like pool is awesome, but most of all the service was top-rate. Every little thing, it felt like the staff...More

Hi, There is 2 options here, the pool villa's (which we had) have their own pool, it is modelled on a round house, so there are 4 suites surrounding a private (well semi private) pool. Depending on time of day for sun I guess. The normal rooms follow along a "river pool" which all have access to. This resort is a "botanical garden" so lots of trees and shade. If you are going soon I would suggest the last thing you will be looking for is sun. We were there in the cooler time (Nov) and it was very hot!! (I am originally from outback Australia so I know hot) For my opinion if you have the budget take a pool villa, but you may not get all day sun on your private sun bed. We loved this resort it is about 1/2 way between the town centre and Angkor Wat. BUT I think it is a little overpriced for the area and DO NOT use the Spa.
Looking once there I noted that all the Boutique hotels look very good. DONT use the bigger hotels, they will have a big pool but just truck in busloads of tourists.
I looked at your reviews to understand what you may need and it seems your a foodie so a must is the Sugar Palm restaurant. Make an evening Booking (you must book, very popular), go when you first get there, you may want to eat more than once. I prefer "street" food, but sometimes there are special ones like this. Pub street, better to avoid restaurants there, but the little side streets around offer great choices. Check my reviews re the hotel and areas around. Advise to take a tour guide, its cheap and you will get better understanding of the history, we didn't, mistake!! This is a special place for sure, get the most from it. If you have the budget I am told Raffles Grand Hotel is exceptional. Enjoy. Cheers...
