As soon as I entered the room I could not believe the high marks on Tripadvisor and Booking.com. The hotel is old and the rooms are dirty. I cleaned parts of the bathroom and when I first wiped the surfaces, there was a solid layer of dust while the tiles seem to not have been washed in months. Bed sheets were partially ripped, water pressure is weak. This is on the level of a bad 2 star hotel at best.
I stayed here for 2 nights, but i cancel and only stayed for 1 night. I arrived at this hotel around 9pm, and the lobby was so dark, many lights were turned off. Around 11pm i even couldnt use the toilet at lobby anymore, bcause the lights completely turned off. The room is so old, the room pictures attached on trip advisor is totally different with the room i got that time, mostly of their rooms not renovated yet. The hallway is so dark, the furniture is old, each room has different size. The toilet is so bad, the water is not coming out until i have to call someone coming to fixed it. The water is yellow colour at first time you open the shower or tap. The shower hanger broken off. The main guests of this hotel is Chinese group. The receptionist can speak english well, and helpfull The breakfast is ok Hope in the future you can improve the facilities to be better and the guest can get nice experience staying here…
We stayed for 2 nights at Starry Angkor hotel and we had a great experience. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Kheng and Leat, the managers were very helpful with booking transport and local information. They made us feel so welcome. Pool was a lovely temperature and we had some great massages. The room was huge and had all mod cons. Not far from major attractions. Hotel was in a quiet area of town, we slept really well. Breakfast was pretty good too. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
From the first day we realize how impressive polite is everybody in this country! Each one from the staff was work very hard to satisfy their clients although some they don't speak English, they try to solve your problem. Special thanks to the fnb manager, Chhem Socheat, who was setting a special table for us by the pool with our own waitress to wait for us in case we need something. Because we are from Europe, and at this period was the season of Chinese people, it was extremely difficult to eat the local food, so he made a menu especially for us, with exactly what we eat in the morning, bacon with cheese and croissant; cooked 5 minutes before we ate them. Also for the dinner he changed all the set up menu again especially for us with European tastes. Daily he was checking on us if everything was ok! Furthermore, apart from the hotel staff, which was amazing, the 2 boys with tuk tuk that they suggest us, number 3 and number 9, were extremely polite, took care of us a lot and smile all the time. So that ment that the people that the hotel cooperates are also guaranty. …
Not at all recommend. It is more like a generic hostel at 3* hotel price. Not clean rooms, WiFi didn't work; even after complained they didn't bother. Breakfast wasn't good. It is crowded with bus loaded of people, hence if you are individual, they don't care. Though it is on main road, it is away from city central. There are so many good options at Siem Reap, please avoid this.
The hotel room was clean, big and has 2 double beds. I would call it a 3 stars+ hotel. Its has a spa, swimming pool and exercise room. Perhaps it needs some up date otherwise its clean and big. The buffet breakfast has lots of choices and lots of fruits and vegetables to choose. We had a tour guide, she was fantastic and she was very knowledgable about all the different sites. 4 fulls days of tour of the ruins. It was tiring but it was manageable. Temp. was 27 -34C. Am 80 young. Good tour. The last day we were introduced to the orphanage, deaf and sight impaired organizations where they teach the children and young adults skills to make a living, which is very admirable. We donated some money and had our picture taken with the children. We also bought some gifts/crafts they made.…
We had a great stay here. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Foods also good. Our room faced to the apartment and abit noisy at night. Beside of that everything was good. We would comeback again.
As soon as we arrived, we were treated like celebrities! The staff went out of their way to make sure everything was to our comfort. The small gym is quiet and perfectly adequate. The pool area is clean, large and beautiful. I had an amazing massage at the spa was provided with an air conditioned car to the airport on my departure. Breakfast and evening dining is excellent with more than enough choice and options to order extras. The staff here always look happy and greet you every time you pass. They even remembered our names! This hotel is quite a way from the touristy area but there are always tuk tuks waiting outside to take you anywhere.
The service is really excellent. I have to do an early conference call near the swimming pool. The GM brought me some breakfast during my call without me asking. The staffs also help to arrange for my transport and give us suggestion on what should we do in Siem Reap. I would like to thanks all the staffs for their excellent service.
Our trip to cambodia was wonderful. The Angkor temples and places nearby are worth to see. We stayed at Starry with connecting rooms which were quite spacious. Hotel facilities are quite good with pool, snooker, gym and spa. Hotel staff is very co-operative and helpful. Front desk gave us all assistance to plan our tours effectively with the available time. The souvenier shop at hotel is also quite good and value for money. Wishing all the very best to hotel staff and hope to visit again
