It feels like staying in a private Villa rather than a hotel. The staff are friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. Spacious spotless room and ensuite, with leafy garden outlook and the tropical pool setting is amazing. Perfect distance from the hubbub of town, but close enough to enjoy all the bars and restaurants when you feel like it. Really...

...if you can find it. Once you have located it, you'll find large rooms with a/c, large bathrooms (but they need a bit of updating), a cool pool and helpful staff. There are a few restaurants near the villa that played loud music but it usually stops by 11pm. It's only a $2 tuk tuk ride from town (but then...

Moved here after leaving a hotel around the corner that didn't live up to it's Tripadvisor reputation. The rooms were large, heavily discounted from the rack rate and the beds comfortable. The staff were helpful and attentive although the bathrooms could do with a little updating. The pool was lovely, catching the afternoon sun and surrounded by a lush garden....

The arrival was a bit problematic. The taxi driver couldn't find the accommodation and nobody answered the phone at Villa Shanti. After an hour (and 10 calls later to friends of his) he brought us to the right place. The room is large but the bathroom is out-dated. It is also far from the city centre. The facilities were not...

My friends and I had booked 4 nights at Villa Shanti. From the moment we arrived we were a bit apprensive, but thought we would give it a chance. I went into the bathroom to freshen up to be greeted with a toilet that looked like it had not been cleaned in a month (pee stains around the toilet basin)....

My wife and I stayed at Villa Shanti in Feb 2013 and had a really good 3 days there. Our room was fairly basic but very nice and while our bathroom was far from luxurious it was perfectly adequate and clean (it was not one of the recently renovated bathrooms). The pool is nice, breakfasts great and wifi good. It...

This old villa, which is being renovated by the charming host Phillip (a Belgian)is a five minute $2 tuk tuk ride into the centre of town - the old market area. Philip is a wealth of knowledge and anyone staying there should take his advice about the temple complex centred on Angkor Wat, the local restaurants, and travelling on to...

The Villa Shanti is set in lovely gardens some way out of the centre of Siem Reap, off the road which leads to Angkhor Wat. It’s a nice place to stay, very friendly and well equipped. Good free wifi, even in the rooms. Nice airy communal balconies. The rooms are themed and beautifully decorated. The service is great, very friendly...
