I really enjoyed my recent stay in Sam so Guesthouse. The rooms are rather large, clean and offer all things you need (hot shower, fridge, tv, good beds, AC and free WiFi.) The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful . And the breakfast in the morning was delicious for such a low price. Just a excellent guesthouse just outside the city center 25 min walk or 5 min tuktuk (2$). Perfect for your stay while exploring the Siem Riep and Angkor.

The staff were very helpful in arranging a tuk-tuk driver for 2 days in Angkor Wat. He made sure I saw everything I could squeeze in. The room was basic, but clean. I should have opted for the air conditioning, as it was in the 90's everyday. The plastic fan they provided helped, but the room didn't cool down until the middle of the night. Breakfast was an extra $3 US, but worth it. My only complaint is that the bed was very hard...not at all comfortable. The guesthouse is in walking distance of the river, the markets and lots of restaurants. I truly appreciated that they allowed me to take a shower before catching a night time flight, even though I had checked out that morning. You can't beat the price for the convenience and the location.

Very friendly staff, nice and clean room. The breakfast was ok but it's not far from other restaurants. They offered to help me find my way around the city without a tour using a tuk tuk driver instead. What more could you ask for?

I went to Siem Reap for 7 days and booked room at the Sam So guesthouse. The room is clean and fine for the price. Included in the price was also breakfest. I was picked up at the airport for free, which also was very nice after arriving. As alway when I'm travelling in Asia I choose guesthouses as it gives me the most personal experience. The same was for the Sam So guesthouse, which I'll recomment if you are looking for a nice place to stay in Siem Reap.
