Is ok for a few days to visit the city and the temples. Is just 10 minutes walk from the markets and pin street, but is quiet Area and close to shops street food and restaurants. Right price for the amenities. I would like especially recommend Reaksmey, the girl at the front desk. She is kind and helpful, really nice and cheerful, so you can count with her for everything. The rest of the staff is ok, but I consider that the should improve their communicational skills.
My best friend booked this hotel during our visit/tour in Cambodia. We stayed for two nights. The rooms are spacious. Location is great because there are many restaurants nearby and it is 5 minutes walk to Night Market. The pool is clean. Staff are friendly. During our 2nd night we informed them that we will check out early morning and we will just take with us our free breakfast. Unfortunately, the next day during our check-out, NO breakfast! The staff that was on-duty that morning said he was not informed.
The photos on booking.com look really good of the Cheata Inn, but when I arrived the rooms were tired. The photos showed a kettle in the room, but in reality the kettles have long gone. The reception staff was okay with no complaints. But the room smelt damp and was not a cozy room. Also one of the lights on the wall did not work. When I asked for a kettle for my room the staff found one and gave it to me, however it did not work. Also the staff never cleaned my room. The swimming pool looked very good and the breakfast was good.
The staff made this place. Perfect English so no misunderstanding. They were so friendly, anything they could do for you they did it. Yes it has a great pool area, breakfast was a reasonable price and a good feed, the hotel is away from the noise of the city. Beds weren’t as hard as some we’ve had to sleep on in the same town. The hotel is just up the street from the art markets and just over the walk bridge from town. Plenty of local eatery’s and 7/11 near by.
I wouldn't recommend staying here. The only positive about this place is the pool, which you can find at majority of hotels here. When we checked in, we noticed a smell in our room. It wasn't hard to find the source being black mold beginning to grow in our closet. After approaching the front desk, they said they had no other room available when we have seen little only a few guests walking around. The front desk also gave my sandals to someone else. You have to keep your shoes/sandals in front of the door before everything the hotel. Another resident, who lost there shoes, approached the front desk asking to borrow sandals thus the reception thought it was a good idea to give them any shoes in front of the door. This place gets 2 stars because they cleaned their pool. That's it.…
