Lovely guesthouse in Siem Reap. The staff were really friendly & helpful, the room was comfortable with good air conditioning (which was needed!). I stayed for 5 nights and had breakfast there every morning…the menu was varied, and food was delicious! I arranged a 3 day tour through Seven Candles…my tuk-tuk driver & guide were fantastic, and made it a great trip. The accommodation is also great value for money, in a good location, and my room was nice and quiet at night. It’s a really nice walk along the river if you want to go to Pub Street, but there are also great local restaurants if you want to eat nearby. The accommodation is also close to the National Museum.

The rooms were clean, a decent size and have balconies. Staff were friendly and you can get a good breakfast on site. Bathroom shower was q feeble spray and there are strict instructions not to put *anything* down the toilet! Guesthouse is on a busy road and was slightly too far away from the centre/Pub street for my liking – it’s a 15 minute walk. However, there are lots of food options around. Only downside for me during my stay was that the Wifi went down for 18 hours. I raised it with various staff members and initially got ambiguous shrugs and was told it was “slow” whereas I could see there was no connection at all! It wasn’t fixed until 9:00am the following morning - I had to move hotels because I needed to arrange other accommodation/flights.

Highly recommend. Seven candles helped us arrange our trip to Cambodia. They worked with us to construct an appropriate itinerary (complete with volunteer time), arranged a driver (with a luxury van) and served as a tour guide. Side note …Tour guides are registered in Cambodia so you have to be qualified to provide these services. We saw temples, Angor wat at sunrise etc etc etc. perfect balance of activities for our family. They even assisted in getting us tickets for the local highly recommended circus. Seven candles is family run and it shows. Everything is flawlessly executed at the highest level. Highly recommend and will definitely be using them on future trips.

Excellent stay at the Seven Candles. Lily really looked after us as did her family. I had a great tuk-tuk visit to the temples over 2 days plus visited local handicraft outlets & the circus. This was organised through the hotel (a family member drove the tuk tuk) and was very reasonably priced. The guesthouse staff are all very welcoming and the room was comfortable & clean. Enjoyed our stay

We stayed here recently and would highly recommend. It is clean, cosy and close to the centre. There are lovely seating areas and little guides to amazing places to eat. They provide a helpful booklet on what they provide also. We had breakfast which is lovely. Used the laundry service very good. Tuk tuks to the temples and airport very reasonable and enjoyable. We were lucky enough to be invited to listen to a talk that the owner had prepared for a U N conference the following day in Bangkok. It was fascinating and interesting. The Ly family, some of whom survived a traumatic past, have turned a horrific experience into a positive by providing Education to disadvantaged children. If you stay at the guest house you will be supporting a good cause too.

We actually stayed here in November 2018 and have just been slow to leave a review. The highlight about this place was the staff. And the fantastic driver we booked for 3 days, Wana (potentially wrong spelling, pronounced 'wu-nar'), with 7 candles. The rooms arent luxurious, but they are comfortable, clean, and great value with working a/c. Most importantly, by staying here you're supporting a fantastic cause. I'd recommend Seven Candles anyway because of its location, comfort and staff, but because of its foundation I'd say its the essential Siem Reap stay.

Great place to stay with very helpful staff. The room was very good with everythign that we needed. We organised our trip to angkor wat with them and it was very good at a good price. We had breakfast one day which was very nice. 10 minute walk to the centre of town which was good. We also donated some money towards their charity which helps to educate children that come from very poor viilages and so they do great charity work as well.

Here, you get to almost feel part of the family house. Everyone is lovely and will help meet your needs. They make breakfast, arrange tuk-tuks or air-conditioned cars with tour guides, do your laundry, arrange tickets, provide water, give recommendations on things to do and places to eat, and provide clean, comfortable, basic rooms. We arranged a three-day tour guide and air-conditioned car through 7 Candles. We were so happy we did. The temperatures and humidity, and the condition of some roads, made us very happy to have a driver with ac. The guide was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and showed us much more than we would have seen on our own - and had great suggestions on where the best photo sites were.
