We stayed 5 nights and extended one more. The location is just perfect, around 15 min walk to pub street but there are restaurants and shops nearby. The room was clean and spacious. Definitely recommend!
I would recommend to pay a little bit more and go to another hotel in same road. We took it as we prefer familiar guest house than big resorts. The family is adorable, very friendly and the owner speaks good english and brough us from the airport on arrival for free which is very welcoming when you land in Siem Rep fir the first time. The breakfast is complete and with choise, the lady is very nice. Pros: the location is good to go walking to the night market and restaurants/club area. Cons: too hot!! Even paying the 7$ dollar extra for activating air co, you could difficultly stay in the room. Even the cold water in the bathroom was hot. With some quick arrangements it would be a very good place to stay at Siem Rep for good price
Room ok, staff friendly, but based on my experience the boss is, him, just a minimum polite. Breakfast not too bad for 1$. Hot water in rooms, good bed, good location, possibility to book trips around. And if you have the pleasure to meet Vimol behind the office, she is really kind and helpfull, and she has got a good english! We enjoyed our time in Siem Reap and we were satisfied about our stay in this guesthouse.
I am not sort of person who loves to write reviews however I do think thi hotel deserves to be recommended. Stayed there for 3 days and everything was fabulous. Lancap is amazing and private area is quiet and beautiful; Every staff is friendly and helfull. has been well-organised; thank you for give us a nice trip.
Stayed here for one night. Mr.Heng was kind enough to pick me up at 9:30pm in the airport. Everything was okay and was satisfied for a guesthouse experience. My door lock was broken so I couldn't lock it whenever I went out but it was alright since I put the important stuff in my bagpack. I hope they clean the bathroom more though, especially the bidet as I didnt even want to hold it since it had some sort of grime. Overall I would recommend it for a budget friendly good service guesthouse.
Ta Som Guesthouse is a humble place, but filled with warmth. Staff there felt more like family than service staff, and we were pleasantly surprised at their friendliness & kindness. Mr Heng went beyond his duties in ensuring that our Cambodian experience was an unforgettable and genuine one. He was honest & helpful in helping us organize the activities we had planned to do, so I ended up cancelling my initial arrangements with the individual vendors I had planned earlier on.
I was looking for a budget guest house for 3 days in Siem Reap, and Trip Avisor threw up this place. I immediately booked a single AC room for a fantastic price of $ 38.20. The best part is that I did not have to pay any advance---Mr. Heng, the owner's son took the cash only when I reached there. The room was on the 2nd floor and was moderately spacious, neat, with a good AC and minibar. The restroom was clean, though basic. I was surprised to see 2 fresh towels, soap cake and tooth brush/ paste thrown in for free, apart from rubber sandals for bathroom visits. There was also a 20 inch LED TV that I did not have time to use. They also provide 2 small water bottles daily for free. There was strong wifi signal in all floors, with a router on each one. The common sit out area near the balcony was very comfortable, with wooden reclining chairs. What surprised me was that breakfast with 6 options was free, as was the airport drop. And that is a good drive of 20 minutes away. Staff are friendly, especially Mr. Heng and Bly. They charge normal rates for guided tours, via tie-ups. They don't force you though. I paid $13 amd 15 for the small circuit and grand circuit tours respectively. The guest house is located right beside the Caltex gas station, on National Road 6. It is around 15 minutes walk from Pub Street. There is a mart behind the gas station, and Lucky Mall is 7 minutes walk away. I would certainly suggest this place to anyone looking for budget stay at Siem Reap. The only cons I can list (though pardonable for the price they charge) are:- 1. They provide coffee decoction only. No milk. On my request, they gave condensed milk. 2. No elevator. 3. They need to provide 2 large water bottles, instead of small ones per day.…
This is a great guesthouse if you're planning on coming to Siem Reap. I booked it for 12 days through booking.com for $99 total. ROOM: No frills but it has everything you need. A comfortable bed, a wardrobe, a TV with a large selection of channels (including English speaking ones), a night stand, and a bathroom. CLEANLINESS: The staff cleans everyday. There are zero issues with trash or grime. They do not automatically clean your room, but if you ask them they will do it gladly. I like this because you don't have to worry about someone knocking on your door if you are sleeping. SAFETY: Again, zero issues. I've met some great people here, both fellow foreigners and the staff themselves. They are always friendly and ready to help if you have a problem. I feel completely comfortable leaving for long periods of time with my valuables in my room. Note that there is no safe or lockbox to store your things, but I have not had any issues. AMENITIES: Free pickup from the airport. Free breakfast from 6-9 each morning, toothbrushes, a comb, packet of soap and shampoo on arrival. The breakfast here is awesome! There are a lot of choices on the menu and I highly recommend #8...noodle soup with veggies and an egg on top with a coffee or tea. The portion is huge and it's delicious , filling, and satisfying! LOCATION: If, like me, you like to walk or wander around, you'll love the location. It's close to everything you need and a tuk tuk ride to the markets or Pub Street can be had for $1.00! They offer tours to various tourist locations through this guesthouse as well. Some people have said they felt pressured or coerced to accept. This is NOT my experience. I was told about the tours, with prices and schedules. The prices are in line with other companies and there was no hard sell. It was completely my choice if I chose to do them or not. I took them up for the one day Angkor Wat tour. It was AMAZING, affordable, and the tour went smoothly. We had an English speaking guide. He was funny, extremely knowledgeable, and answered any questions put forth to him. The mini bus had great air con, cold water available, and worth the $10.00 I paid (the ticket to Angkor Wat complex is $37 no matter if you go solo or through a guided tour). For a total of $47, I had one of the best days ever visiting this historical Wonder of the world. I would recommend Ta Som Guesthouse to anyone. Thank you for reading! …
You guys must in here. Very nice, clean and quiet guess house. They are so kind. Don't think twice to go Ta Som guess house. So recommend! I must go here again, soon! Thank you for helping me going to Angkor wat!
This guesthouse is perfect value for money. We had a very warm greeting on arrival and our room was very spacious and clean with complimentary bottled water, soap and toothbrushes. The service from the staff was exceptional- they were so friendly. Even the younger members of staff were so polite and kind. A free breakfast was ideal and very good breakfast too! Very filling!! Rooms were cleaned daily if we wanted, there was a laundry service on site and staff could arrange anything for you with ease. Great location only 10/15 min walk from pub street and a safe walk too. We booked for 2 nights but ended up staying for 4 as there was such a relaxed vibe we felt so at home! When leaving the lovely owner gave us some parting gifts. Our stay was so lovely - we are backpacking around SEA and I would highly recommend it for a clean cheap place to stay with a homely feel! Thanks so much guys ! …
