The fact is that we stayed in this hotel in from January 5th to 9th 2020. However, Tripadvisor does not allow us to go back in time until this period to provide a review. I have to admit it simply took me too long to write these lines. Still, even today our recollection from that stay is totally positive. The frontdesk staff were super welcoming when we showed up and he offered us a nice room upgrade. In addition, they were super attentive to address all our questions and did their best to address them in the best possible way. All the tours and spectacles they suggested were absolutely worthwile and we would like to praise specially the work done by VANDY who was the most special and caring among the staff. The spa also deserves a special recognition as the massage we had has never been beaten by any other massage in the world. The sum of atmosphere and expertise was simply a perfect match. We also attended the traditional dance night which was quite entertaining. All in all we only have good words for this hotel and its staff.

Very spacious and good-size room, clean and comfortable. Front-liner staff need to be more friendly upon receiving guest. Unfortunately restaurant doesn't have choice of vegetarian items, and have to make a trip outside for meal. There was some music base and noisy beat during midnight, notified hotel staff but not able to check the where the noises coming from. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. There was a very helpful lady assist upon check out, forget to get her name, keep up the good work!

The hotel provides free airport pick up, early check in and late check out and the best is a free daily Happy Hour 6pm - 7pm. Yes, you do get free alcohol for a whole hour and they are very generous with their pouring. We had a room pool facing G/F room, you may want to request for a level 1 room if you want more privacy but you do need to use the stairs. Hotel uses metal straw and has a water machine by the restaurant which is very important to us. I would recommend that they also start doing that with the toiletries to reduce plastic. We did try to leave our towels on the cloth lines or on the hook but they seem to still give us new towel everyday. The hotel also provides free tuk tuk service until 5pm each day. They will drop you off anywhere nearby and you can let them know when you want to be picked up. After that it is 3USD each way. I had one spa service which is very cheap so I would recommend it. The most disappointing service is the restaurant. There is 2 items on the menu that they can make it vegetarian. Although the set menu is USD16 only, but I would recommend you to dine out. The breakfast is equally disappointing. Out of the 3 mornings we were there for breakfast, 1 day has a buffet and then we were offered an alacarte menu. And there is no vegetarian option. No non dairy milk. Another suggestion for the hotel is that please replace the ironing board and clean the iron. Our original plan is to be out every day whilst in Siem Reap hence we didn't plan to stay in the room for long. As our plan changes, we ended up spending two full days in the hotel. I would recommend this as a good hotel for a simple sleep but not for long stay.

We arrived at Metta Residence hotel from Siem Reap airport. The hotel provided a free shuttle service from the hotel which was great. The moment we arrived we were greeted with a cold flannel, drinks and a hot rice snack. The whole ambience of the lobby is wonderful. We were greeted by a lady called Diamond, she truly lived up to her name! Diamond helped us book our tour of Angkor Wat and planned every detail for us. Also provided us with local details. Diamond had also organised a room upgrade for us which was exceptional! The rooms were large and clean with a balcony overlooking the hotel grounds. The service around the pool area was excellent, all the staff were so happy to help. Food within the hotel was great as well as the cocktails. There was also a happy hour from 6pm -7pm where a selection of cocktails were provided for free! The hotel also provides a free Tuk Tuk service into Siem Reap which was great. A particular shout out to Heang, wonderful gentleman who was always on time for pickup. His English put our Khmer completely to shame. All in all Metta Residence was such a relaxing hotel, everything was perfect and i would definitely return in the future. Possibly one of the best small hotels i have had the privilege to stay in. Thank you for making our stay so special!

We stayed here as a family group of eight of us in December 2019. From the moment we walked in, the staff could not do enough for us. The resort is spotlessly clean with modern spacious rooms and a lovely swimming pool area. The breakfast restaurant is air conditioned with an extensive range of Cambodian and European Foods available. The spa is really lovely and the free massage treatments much enjoyed by all. Our children felt comfortable and happy there. We were lucky enough to enjoy the Christmas dinner and dancing show organised by the hotel. Tables were set up in the garden and the chef cooked a really special meal. The candles and flower arrangements were beautiful and made it feel really festive in a tropical way. The regular dancing shows the hotel organise are definitely worth watching - the stories told by the dancers are historic and interesting, the costumes stunning. all the family loved the show. Trekking around the temples in the sweltering heat is tiring, but the Metta provided a brilliant haven to return to after the sightseeing and busy markets. It is located in a quiet outskirt of Siem Reap and free tuk-tuks are provided during the day or cost a few £ at night, not expensive at all. The only suggestion I have for the hotel is to add/build more doors in so the rooms can interconnect easily - more sociable for family groups. What sets this hotel apart is the attitude of the staff - everyone was without fail, polite, welcoming, charming and really made us feel at home. Well done, we'll be back!
