To be honest, my wife booked this trip and I was unsure, the website for the resort looked good, but they are meant to aren’t they. The reality was a most welcome affirmation of the promises from their webpage, OK it might be a little smaller, but not seriously. The location is 20 to 30 minutes from the airport, and around 10 from the main areas of the city (specifically Pub Street and the surrounding area). Our flight landed around 10pm and we were met by a local version of Tuk Tuk, which is a small trailer towed behind a motorbike, don’t worry they are safer than they sound LOL. Our welcome to the resort was warm and friendly, we were given a refreshing drink and had a short explanation of the facilities as well as our breakfast order being taken for the next day. Breakfast was more generous than I have experienced in many hotels, providing sustenance sufficient for our morning activity. The staff were super friendly and immediately warmed to our young son. As our stay progressed we came to rely upon their high level of attention to our needs, providing drinks and towels for the pool without the need to request them. The staff also made sure we had rides into the city as needed and arranged the mandatory tour to some of the temples, including preparing a fresh breakfast for us to catch the sunrise at Angkor Wat (at 4:30am). All in all, we loved our stay here and would recommend Angkor Heart Bungalow to anyone seeking somewhere good, comfortable, safe and friendly whilst avoiding the large corporate hotels. Thank you to all the staff.

Enjoyed the stay with my family for 4 nights in this very nice place. The bungalows are simple but has all you need and the pool was a nice place to hang out with the kids and event meeting new people. The staff is really very service oriented, smiling and often two steps ahead of your needs.

Staff were fluent in English and were very helpful and friendly. The service is beyond good value for money. We didn’t expect such an excellent service for this price. There were welcome drinks and afternoon drinks. The pool opens all day and night. You can have breakfast just a the balcony of your bungalow. The downside is how close to nature this place is... There were tons of lizards and frogs, some of which jumped on our feet and some were standing on walls like lizards. This is pretty scary for us. Overall, we would definitely stay at this place if we visit Siem Reap again.

The loveliest family run hotel. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff. From the welcome drink to the elaborately decorated ‘honeymoon suite’-which was amusing as I was staying with my sis-in-law, delicious food, beautiful pool and gorgeous, tropical gardens. Chickens grazed the grounds freely and tropical fruits grew from the many trees. Breakfast was served on your private balcony and lunch and dinner could be enjoyed by the pool or in the restaurant. A fan was often brought to us in the heat of the day wherever we chose to eat. Complimentary airport pickup and drop off also- which gave us a chance to slip them a little extra for their kindness. Very close to Phare Circus (across the road) but a little far from town to walk. They also presented us with a thoughtful gift of a scarf on leaving to thank us for choosing their hotel. A lovely family atmosphere.
