Good espresso with brown sugar. Good mineral water. Silence in the room. The air conditioner was too old. No black bread on Sunday morning. Found a hair in the dinner! You have to ask to be delivered the missing goods for the breakfast.

The outside pool was cold and uncomfortable to get into. The spa service was the worse I have ever had. It was cold not only the whole hotel, but in spa area too. Also we had to take the towels from the room, extra towels are not offered in spa center, nor spa shoes. Definitely this is NOT as spa hotel.

We came here looking for a mineral spa hotel. There is only a few good things I can say about this resort. First the front desk guy was very pleasant. And the rooms are large n nice with a nice size tub in the bathroom. Which was a good thing as the outside pool was cold n uncomfortable to get...

The town of Bankya is very small but beautiful resort for non-smokers. It is famoust for its fresh air and mineral water. There is a swimming pool in the center of the town as well as a lot of nice hotels and restaurants.

We didn't try the so called "palace" fo the night but just wanted to test the bulgarian mineral waters closed to Sofia. We were the only 2 clients in the spa : the guy in charge didn't propose any bathrobe nor towel, nor spa shoes. He doesn't speak english. The only swimming pool is open air, so was closed in...

For a hotel with "palace" in its name and the highest price tag in Bankya, I expected something else. To be heated in December, for starters. The common areas were not. Most mornings we were expected to eat breakfast - a "selection" of cold cut meats - in a chilly restaurant, served by unbelievably rude staff. The lobby was cold...

The extremely unpleasant experience began just when we arrived at the hotel. The guy at the reception claimed that we booked one night only but we have booked two (over the phone). So he stared arguing with us...We asked him if there is no free rooms for the second night - and there was! How can we want to stay...

No doubt, the best hotel in Bankya town. But this doesn't mean it's really a palace. Far from that, it's more a good country hotel. We stayed in winter time and there was no heating in the lobby and in the restaurant. Indeed, we're only two couples in the whole hotel si it wouldn't be reasonable to heat the entire...

“Avoid this hotel. Get a room in either "Zdrave" or the military sanatorium instead. In either of them you can pay (a lot less!) as a private guest, if you don't have a doctor's referral.”
