Don't even hesitate. Go for it when you are in Kasane! We loved our stay in Chobe Bakwena lodge. Everything was perfect. The service is great, the staff is super friendly and very nice. As it was our honeymoon, they were setting a very special table for us in a different area every night. They were always asking us what we would like to drink, eat, ... The food is incredible. The chef was surprising us every day even more with amazing taste for each meal. The room is very beautiful, facing the river with a private terrace to enjoy the view with intimacy, with an indoor and outdoor shower. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and have a bigger room than expected. The lodge has a very nice dining / drinking area which is open and facing the river. The swimming pool area is very beautiful as well. The whole lodge is decorated with a nice taste. The lodge is built in the nature which we loved and allowed us to see many animals. The guide was great and had a lot of knowledge on the animals. We never saw so many elephants. We also saw many lions (including cubs), giraffes, ... Every meal, drinks, coffee time in the park was very special. You can do 4*4 safaris or boat safaris and both are very pleasant. Thanks to covid we were alone in the lodge so we had a very special time. PCR and transfers before going to Zimbabwe was managed very well by the staff and we felt comfortable all the way and not stressed at all.

This lodge is the perfect little hideaway. The rooms were large, clean and super cozy! Our mattress was also very comfortable. The food was Top Notch! I have celiac disease and I was shocked and touched at how much the staff cared to ensure I was safe. The staff researched everything from ingredients to avoiding cross contamination. I had freshly baked gluten free bread and brownies every morning for the game drive. I never got I'll once while staying here and the food was delicious! Lastly, the Safari's in Chobe were the highlight! Our game driver was very knowledgable and super friendly. My favourite was the evening boating safari though. There is nothing in this world that can top a boat ride crusing down the Chobe river, with a G&T in hand while the sun sets. Hippo's popping out of the water all around you, elephants everywhere you turn your head, Buffalo grazing on the islands, crocodiles chilling in the banks and so many birds to see. It was like living in a dream. The lodge is about a 10 minute drive to the parks entry though. So a small drive in. But it is so nice to drive through town and see all the little children dressed in there uniforms for school. Such a lovely place to visit, and such an amazing experience.

Well stayed 4 nights at Bakwena. Room was well appointed with a lovely view of the river. Common areas of the lodge were well decorated and clean. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Made every attempt at covid safety from staff wearing masks at all times to ensuring hands were sanitized and areas clean. Food delicious. Game drives and boating safaris we’re phenomenal. Our guide Den was friendly, knowledgeable and ensured we got lots of photographs.

I would come here for the food alone. Fresh ingredients, skillfully prepared with a beautiful presentation. The staff are so delightful and always on hand for the slightest request. Then the real focus, the safari drives and boats. Our guide, Roni, was a treasure of info and really made our safari special. We were fortunate to see a pride of lions take down prey and struggle with water buffalo. Beyond the violence of nature was also the beauty of the giraffes, the impala, the comics of the baboons, and the zebra. Spectacular. The lodge itself is made of teak and thatch. Two pools are on the property. A small edge pool and an even smaller river cage pool. Both are fun. This is a beautiful, serene spot, with a great river view and excellent staff. A real find,

We spent a couple pof nights at Chobe Bakwena Lodge, and were more than surprised by the kindness and level of service provided by their staff and the quality of their food. Congratulations to the whole team and special thankx to Roxanne and Wes, who helped us at all times, provided us with the best advice and even helped us with a small problem we had at the airport when we already had left the camp. The game and afternoon drives were also amazing, we saw so many animals... I would recommend everyone to stay there, you won't be disappointed.
