If you're looking for luxury, then this isn't the hotel for you. The rooms are basic and a bit tired, but they are clean and there is plenty of hot water. Unfortunately many of the rooms are adjoining, with doors between them, meaning they are not very sound proof. Also the towels are small and thin. The thing that saves...

I stayed at Hotel Caparuch for 9 days and overall it was very delightful. The staff were very nice and always pleasant. We had a group of 12 people that were at times loud when all together but the hotel staff never seemed to care and very accommodating of all of our random requests. The rooms were average. Some of...

A stay with the Habitat group worked very well at this hotel. The staff were excellent and responded to all requests with enthusiasm - including a room change, directions, money exchange, taxi calls, etc. etc. How nice to be greeted with a smile :o) and a "buenas". Having a YogurtBerry shop attached doesn't hurt either! The rooms were clean and...

We stayed in Hotel Caparuch during a Habitat build in Santa Cruz. It calls itself a 4-star hotel, but is probably what we would call a 3-star in North America. It is definitely not bad, however. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is convenient, but the food is just average and a little more...

This older hotel has recently undergone extensive renovation, and it is much nicer and more modern than the older (critical) reviews would make it appear. You do have to take into account that the hotel is in chaotic, noisy, loud, dirty Santa Cruz de la Sierra, where there are no great hotels and limited options between the expensive and the...

Must avoid this hotel! My first floor room was not clean and ants were roaming around the edges. Wlile taking a shower, I looked up the ceiling and I noticed black spots that looked like mold. It was not a pleasant experience for the money. The food at the hotel restaurant was edible and the staff friendly (not efficient) but...

Although the place claims to have 4 stars we would consider it to be 2 stars at best. The rooms are small, run down and definately not worth the US$ 70 we were charged. The staff is friendly though and the breakfast is good. Overall, not recommended for the price and the location.

My family and I have stayed at Hotel Caparuch on several occasions. However our last visit proved to be our last! The location is less than desirable since the noise on the street is unbearable and occurs when rowdy teens gather on the weekends, holiday and other days of the week. The street become impassable and includes many drunken and...

I've stayed at this hotel a couple times and it's definitely a solid choice. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the hotel has a nice little pool, restaurant, bar, etc. The breakfast is very nice with a wide selection of juices, fruit, and eggs. I usually pay about $40 to stay here and I think it's a great choice...

“The rooms facing the street appear to have the nicer, re-done bathrooms, and are not too noisy at night.”

“Ask for a quiet room facing the courtyard pool. If you dont like the first room, ask to see another. They offered me the room next to the maids station which could have been noisy, so I asked to see something else, and they gave me a room midway down the hall. They wanted me to pay the whole stay up front, but I said no that I would pay for one night, and then the rest when I checked out, and they accepted that.”
