Overall, the Hotel is wonderful, beautiful gardens and architecture is very nice. The breakfast buffe is delicious and the customer service is really good. We had a long trip and still, the receptionist kindly gave us our room at mid day instead of making us wait till 2:00 pm
This is supposed to be one of the best hotels in Cochabamba. It charges as that but it’s far from it. For starters the hotel has a sort of 2 different hotels within. The “new block” which costs 50% more than much better hotels in more expensive cities in Bolivia (Los tajibos in Santa Cruz for instance) and the “patrimonial block” which costs around the price point of the better hotels previously mentioned. This last mentioned block is standing for several decades and has never been refurbished. Everything in the room is tired and failing, in room 304 the toilet is broken, the bath tub is absolutely disgusting “yellow” and worn out, the AC remote doesn’t work, there is no sound isolation and you can’t use the work desk because the chair provided won’t fit between it and the bed. To continue the nightmare they will charge you an additional 25$ for registering a second person in your room (this is highly unusual anywhere else in the world) and the breakfast service is terrible. The restaurant, Supay, used to be good but bc they parted separate ways with the chef now it is hideous. Just so you know there is a new 4 star hotel two blocks away called Catena, they charge you 30$ less per night and everything is new and better than in this over hipped, overpriced property…
Comfortable hotel, with almost no noise insulation. Was perfect for business trip and early wake up. Birds and staff start the days early and would wake you up. Excellent bed, rather clean room. Great staff, kind , helpful and courteous. Breakfast basic but good, fruits excellent.
HAD TO GET ANOTHER HOTEL. I made reservations a week in advance. I was taking my daughter on a father daughter vacation. I spoke to the staff which were very friendly about my arrival a couple of times. The night before my arrival I talked to Jherson about getting me a transfer from the airport to the hotel. I told him I was getting there at 6:45 AM he sent a taxi which was there on time. BAD: when I got there in the morning a young punk by the name of Gabriel thought it would be funny to tell me my room wasn’t ready. I told him that I had spoken to Jherson the night before, when we set up the taxi to transfer me from the airport to the hotel , And he never told me my room wasn’t going to be ready. I asked Gabriel (Young punk) I was planning to leave me there until 2 PM to check in?? He just said sorry (ba disculpar) With a snarky tone. After sitting there for a little bit he said I can get you in for an additional $280 more. I asked him, I thought you said the room was not ready? And he said we have a fee for coming in early. I said nobody told me that last night when I called I would’ve been fine the money is not an issue but what you’re doing to me is a big problem to me. He said sorry (ba disculpar). And so I called a taxi and came over to Camino Plaza Hotel which is where I always stay, and where I should’ve called in the first place. They told me to come over right away, give me an upgrade let me check in early with absolutely no extra cost. GABRIEL, stick the room where the sun don’t shine, rat bast@rd. …
Very satisfied. Nice people (but speak little english). Clean and well located. Swimming pool and Gym are also fine. TV with Youtube channel was very good, could watch some films in original languege.
I love the pool breakfast and the room i like the tv but i didnt like a family that got to the pool 5 hours and i saw a yellow liquid that i dont want to think about they made noise all night and they took over all the pool
I would have given a good review to this hotel. Room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Reception staff were helpful and friendly especially when I had a dental issue and they helped me sort it out. Breakfast is fairly good and there is a decent restaurant for evening meals. Pools are good for relaxing if not proper swimming - children will probably enjoy the slide. Gym is ok with machines but no free weights or equipment. Unfortunately on the last day I believe a computer I had packed in my suitcase was stolen from my room. It was either the staff or the airline e as when I arrived at my next destination it was no longer there. Unfortunately for this reason I have to give a poor review. Be extra careful of all your possessions if you travel there.
Very nice and clean with a great pool which is heatened. Food could have been more international, but it is also good to taste the BoliviN specialités. Good breakfast buffé with very good coffee. Good location at the center of the city, safe to walk in the area and options of restaurants close in the area. I will surely go to this hotel next time in Cochabamba.
Stayed for 4 nights. This hotel is located in the heart of everything. Restaurants, shops, church. The property is clean, updated, good size gym and pool. Morning breakfast had a wide selection of food, food at the pool came quickly. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel's staff are helpful and friendly. Location is pretty good, walking distance to many restaurants and mall. My room was cozy but do not let the photos fool you, those are special upscale rooms. If you are staying multiple days, beware, you have one small complimentary bottle of water per stay only, prepare your own water. Breakfast is fine but no variety, many room for improvement. No electric kettle in the room for coffee or tea, you need to come down to lobby for them. All for all, not totally worth the money.
