Welcome to our hotel, an exquisite space where many dreams come true, The Gran Hotel Cochabamba erected in the heart of the city, in La Recoleta. Only a guest through these emblematic doors can feel a different air, the excellence, the quality and total disconnection with the outer space and the hustle and bustle of the streets. Our facilities combine the history of a centenary hotel with the new construction of spacious rooms and a Convention Center with more than 15 meeting rooms with capacities up to 1200 people. With an extension of one hectare in the most entertaining area of the city, we have beautiful green areas, a large outdoor pool tempered and a slide for the delight of our guests. Just enjoy it

Detailed Reviews
Overall, the Hotel is wonderful, beautiful gardens and architecture is very nice. The breakfast buffe is delicious and the customer service is really good. We had a long trip and still, the receptionist kindly gave us our room at mid day instead of making us wait till 2:00 pm

Comfortable hotel, with almost no noise insulation. Was perfect for business trip and early wake up. Birds and staff start the days early and would wake you up. Excellent bed, rather clean room. Great staff, kind , helpful and courteous. Breakfast basic but good, fruits excellent.

HAD TO GET ANOTHER HOTEL.
I made reservations a week in advance. I was taking my daughter on a father daughter vacation. I spoke to the staff which were very friendly about my arrival a couple of times. The night before my arrival I talked to Jherson about getting me a transfer from the airport to the hotel. I told him I was getting there at 6:45 AM he sent a taxi which was there on time.
BAD: when I got there in the morning a young punk by the name of Gabriel thought it would be funny to tell me my room wasn’t ready. I told him that I had spoken to Jherson the night before, when we set up the taxi to transfer me from the airport to the hotel , And he never told me my room wasn’t going to be ready. I asked Gabriel (Young punk) I was planning to leave me there until 2 PM to check in?? He just said sorry (ba disculpar) With a snarky tone. After sitting there for a little bit he said I can get you in for an additional $280 more. I asked him, I thought you said the room was not ready? And he said we have a fee for coming in early. I said nobody told me that last night when I called I would’ve been fine the money is not an issue but what you’re doing to me is a big problem to me. He said sorry (ba disculpar). And so I called a taxi and came over to Camino Plaza Hotel which is where I always stay, and where I should’ve called in the first place. They told me to come over right away, give me an upgrade let me check in early with absolutely no extra cost.
GABRIEL, stick the room where the sun don’t shine, rat bast@rd.

This is supposed to be one of the best hotels in Cochabamba. It charges as that but it’s far from it. For starters the hotel has a sort of 2 different hotels within. The “new block” which costs 50% more than much better hotels in more expensive cities in Bolivia (Los tajibos in Santa Cruz for instance) and the “patrimonial block” which costs around the price point of the better hotels previously mentioned. This last mentioned block is standing for several decades and has never been refurbished. Everything in the room is tired and failing, in room 304 the toilet is broken, the bath tub is absolutely disgusting “yellow” and worn out, the AC remote doesn’t work, there is no sound isolation and you can’t use the work desk because the chair provided won’t fit between it and the bed.
To continue the nightmare they will charge you an additional 25$ for registering a second person in your room (this is highly unusual anywhere else in the world) and the breakfast service is terrible. The restaurant, Supay, used to be good but bc they parted separate ways with the chef now it is hideous.
Just so you know there is a new 4 star hotel two blocks away called Catena, they charge you 30$ less per night and everything is new and better than in this over hipped, overpriced property

Warmth in the staff, excellent location and spaciousness in their rooms make it the perfect place for my business visit, quick check in and check out too and the always very friendly buttons and remembering the name of a guest makes the experience more personalized. I define it in a word. "EXCELLENT"

The Room is very unsecure, no extra-lock to secure the room when you are inside. Mi room was open during the night by someone else without explanation.
The toilet doesn't work properly.
Everything looks old in the property.

The hotel gave us a nice spacious clean room, and the young man at the rececption was extremely helpful. The Breakfast was good, would have been nice to have some fruit juice without sugar. In general, we had a good stay at the hotel.
There was a minor problem with the elevators, but was fixed during the day.

I did not like the stay at this hotel at all. Room 304 is falling apart. Old, no dresser, no space to move around, smelly and dirty bathroom. Not worth the price I paid for. I would not recomend staying at this hotel

Dear guest:
We dont have Disney in english, our cable grid offers Disney in spanish.
Any question to your orders
Best Regards.
They have both 110 and 220 volts and most charges for computers and phones handle variable voltages so you should be fine!
Hello Gayle, Thank you for contacting us, please provide us an email to send our meeting rooms and lodging rooms.
Waiting for your promt reply.
Best regards.
I would recommend flying via Santa Cruz as a connection. The Boliviana airlines is the most economical price with good service, but no movies on the flight.
