We spent one night here en route to Ely. The cabins are bigger than they look on the website. Our cabin was clean and comfortable with quality fittings and a large bath. We had cabin 19. Windmill Ridge is in a peaceful location just outside the town. They have the only restaurant we noticed in the town and it does... More

If you prefer fresh air, privacy, clean and spacious indivisible cabins this is the place to stay. Great rates and pet friendly too! The "Schoolhouse" was perfect for a great nights sleep with two twin beds and a queen. wouldn't even consider anything else on our yearly trip from Phoenix to Boise.

This hotel is a great value and probably as close as you can get to the Extraterrestrial Highway. The "rooms" are small cabins. Very quiet, clean, and cozy. Just the basics, no frills, but the beds are comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. You can easily walk from the cabin to the restaurant. The food is good, but... More

And keep going until you reach the Windmill Ridge motel. Less of a motel and more of a series of cabins, this lodging is cozy, comfortable and surrounded by the peace and solitude of the high desert of the great basin. Cabins are independent log cabins completely made of wood with highs beamed ceilings and comfy furnishings. Each cabin is... More

We stayed here one night on a trip to Area 51, we had just arrived in Vegas after a 10 hour flight and drove straight to Windmill Ridge so we could get an early start to Area 51 the next day. The cabins were very clean and tidy although a little dated, the beds were very comfortable and the location... More

Quiet, clean, and friendly. Cabins behind a restaurant. Allowed an early check-in so I could get an early start out in morning. Had a nice meal in restaurant. The staff was very helpful. Great place to rest in high desert. Will return.

Windmill Ridge is a lovely collection of cabins in Alamo. Alamo NV is a tiny town with a population of around 1000 just over 90 miles north of Las Vegas in the middle of nowhere. For us it was a perfect place to stop for the night as it was exactly half way on our two-day road trip. I made... More

These are clean, well-decorated cabins. Most of the cabins are seperated from each other, with a few double cabins. They are decorated in country fashion and are extremely comfortable and cozy. One can park their car right in front of the cabin, which makes it real easy to unload and load your car. The place is a mile or so... More

I really wasn't expecting much when we first drove up. I was pleasantly surprised!!! The cabin and the meals were included as part of a week long adventure with Omega Windsurfing. (That's another amazing story.) Our group stayed in the van while our guides, Pete and Thunda, got our room keys. The manager came out and greeted us. Pete gave... More

On Hwy 93 in Nevada about 1.5 hours or so north of Las Vegas. Really the only place to consider in out-of-the way Alamo, NV. Each unit is a cabin, we were in a handicap accessible room, so not sure about the layout vs. other cabins, ours was roomy with extra large bathroom. Tub had a jacuzzzi, but was so... More
