Big Creek RV Park has large, big-rig friendly sites. All 65 RV sites are 30- and 50-amp, with water, sewer, cable TV, and free wi-fi throughout the park. Our park is a full-service park, offering shower suites, laundry facility, game room, swimming pool, and meeting hall. With our propane fill station and camp store, we have what you need. Nearby scenic attractions include Johnson's Shut-Ins, Elephant Rocks, Black River, and much more.
We thoroughly adored this park, the owner and amenities! Everything was top shelf, clean, festive and FUN! We were there during the Halloween season and imagine the delight of the children (and we ageless adults!) to discover an extraordinarily well decorated, er "haunted" path along the beautiful spring fed creek! Very family oriented, with pool, horseshoes, supplies for smores, firewood, laundry, even an arcade! Thank you, Patty and team, for the hospitality and smiles!

After reading all the positive reviews we had our heart set on this campground to end our cross country summer vacation. I’m not gonna lie, our hearts sank as we pulled it. Wide open field full of plain Jane sites. I had expected it more woodsy and protected by the sun. Obviously, that’s the long term goal because each site has a 3” tree planted. The pool was unbelievably small, sized more like a water park hot tub. Not suitable for a 65 site family rv park. The building that houses showers, laundry and a small arcade was nice and clean. The laundry is reasonably priced, but beware the dryers take 3 cycles to dry towels. The creek is gorgeous! The paths are very kept up. We had the most fun walking through the creek. It had rained pretty heavily the night before so there was plenty of flow. Firewood was a pile of leftover scrap from a mill, left out uncovered at the entrance. It was so waterlogged we were unable to start a fire the next night. It’s not bundled, you have to grab as many pieces as you can hold and carry them across the park. There was no offer to deliver when we subtly mentioned the difficulty. Also, there is no garbage pick up. You again have to haul it all the way to the park entrance. It’s weird it’s not centrally located or at the very least offered on the other side of the park. …

We stay at this RV Park quite often. We love the owners and always enjoy going there. You will find all the amenities clean and well kept. Alot of great things to do around the campground and in the surrounding area. If you are looking for a family friendly place to camp, this is your place. Perfect place for a family getaway or just a place to relax and do nothing.

We have been going to Big Creek RV park for years. Big Creek is our go to place when we head down to that area. The campground is spacious and the amenities are great. They don’t gouge you for wood prices for fires I. The pits. The pool is small but nice. Big Creek has a few swimming holes down stream from the campground. Patty and Craig the owners are great. Very helpful and friendly every time we go. Keep up the great work!!!

All the things one would ask for. Clean personal showers/bathrooms, quiet, level pads, and grassy areas. If you have children they have a pool and playground. The owner was a school teacher and has brought her talents of creating children’s activities to the RV Park.

Our first summer as campers (2017) we did what most people do: we started Googling campgrounds. We had a horrible experience at a different campground - our first time out ever. Then, we found Big Creek. What an awesome place to stay. What else could you ask for? Awesome owners, plenty of activities for families (pool, creek, playground, space for riding bikes, etc.), all of the camping services you need (full hookups, firewood on site, camp store), and close to all of the awesome Missouri State Parks. We couldn't stay last year, because our first child was born, but already have 2 stays booked at Big Creek this year, and we can't wait to get there! Taylor and Rachel Nickerson

This campground is great. Very nice folks to welcome us in. Helped us to our campsite. Campsite was clean and quite. Creek running nearby drowned out any ouside noise. The train does come close by but went through and back out and that was that. Sold firewood and propane there. We have our own bathroom, but the bathhouse was the nicest we had seen. Very clean. If you are going to camp near western NC give them a try, don't think you will be disappointed.

Very clean, well maintained rv park with lots of level sites on packed gravel with plentiful grass and easy access to the Big Creek which runs parallel to the park. Some sites have shade from large mature trees, but the afternoon sun can be intense. Sparkling laundry with large load washers. Friendly and accommodating owners.
