28 miles of hiking and biking trails. They are well maintained most of the year and feature blazes that are very easy to follow. Maps are at trailheads. Lake is great for camping, fishing, boating, and swimming at certain times of the year. Very quiet. 28miles from Starkville, MS

We have a photography business and love to take our favorite clients here. It's about a 30 min drive but totally worth it every time. It's very well kept and just a hidden gem that many locals forget about. I have friends that love to camp here also. They say it's very peaceful and always have a good time.

This is our favorite campground. There aren't very many camping spots and they fill up quick. I love how quiet it is. The campsites aren't packed close together. There are multiple places to hike which we love. There is the larger Choctaw Lake and small Cabin Lake for fishing.

10 minutes from a town that shuts down after 8pm. If you like quiet camping, campfires, fishing, walking, swimming, and relaxing, then this place is for you. Just drive thru the gates and pick your campsite, then drive back to the gates and pay the honor box the camp fee. Each campsite is about 60 yards from the next campsite...
