1st room my sister booked into had a very bad "old" cigarette smell, 2nd room not too bad. Very old, only redeeming feature was newer laminate flooring. Our room, bath fan didn't work, bathroom outlet didn't work at all, light switch flickered when you turn on. Was going to take a wash cloth with soap and wipe off phone, remote, counters - YUCK - had a long hair on it. Was too late to go to different hotel so just tufted it out - take your time and check out reviews before booking this place. Asked for a discount, told no. Will NEVER go back!
My son being a typical 18 year old got caught out away from home and lost his wallet. I booked a room here for him to give him somewhere to stay as I was abroad in England. After calling to confirm the booking I was spoken to by a really rude guy who didn't listen to me and started telling me that I can't have a refund (The fact that I hadn't asked for one was by the by). I then proceeded to explain that I was actually calling to confirm my sons booking and ask if everything was okay. I was then put on the phone with a lady who told me that my son couldn't stay there if he didn't have the payment credit card on him. I explained his situation and there wasn't even a moment of hesitation or empathy from her. In a world where I can send my son money in 3 seconds from around the globe, this shoddy pit of misery called Regency Inn & Suites can't accept payment without a card under these exceptional circumstances?!! If any human being, let alone a teenager is left in a really messy position such as this and his father was more than willing to pay most good people would offer to help. This hotel literally didn't care. The female manager even had the tenacity to laugh at me on the phone when I told her that their payment mechanisms were unbelievably backward. This hotel preferred to leave my son on the street than take a card payment over the phone or allow me to arrange it another way whether by wire transfer/paypal... This hotel has zero hospitality (or humanity for that matter). AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE.…
The staff is extremely rude and the owner is no different!! I reserved a room with a late check-in which was okayed by them between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. and I got there and the doors were locked early because the sign says 11 p.m.and they're locked. Which is fine except for knowing they had a late check-in the staff wasn't even at the counter to see me walk up!! I was extremely upset because I really needed to use the bathroom I needed to get checked in so I could go to the bathroom. And because I was upset they refused my room because she didn't like my attitude!! Yet the staff wasn't where they were supposed to be in the first place!! So at 10:30 at night I had to find a different Hotel!! Run far away from this place it's not even worth the hassle!! And the owner said that if I leave a bad review he will make my life hell!! And I told him as long as I don't lie that's my right to warn others!!…
My buddy rented a room because his family doesn’t allow a lot of friends over. It was just the 5 of us and as we were entering the hotel at only 9:00 pm, we were greeted by a strange man who didn’t even bother to come up the stairs to tell us we had to leave. We weren’t being loud and we were going to stay for more than an hour. We were going to press him on why he thought we should leave, but decided against it. Ugly rooms, nasty bedding and shifty staff. Screw that place!!!
We stayed here for my husband's birthday. Although we booked a smoking room we did not expect to walk into a room filled with stale smoke. Other hotels clean the rooms after each guest and you don't smell stale smoke. There was dust every where. One wall had something streaked down the wall that covered half the wall. Another wall had an old band aid stuck to it. The walls were in need of repair and the chain lock on the door was broken off. The bathroom was clean though. Free breakfast was cereal, bread, mini muffins, very old looking danish, english muffins, milk, coffee and juice. You were not allowed to bring food back to your room and there was no place to sit as there was a group of handicapped adults sitting at the two tables waiting for their ride so I opted out of eating anything while standing. Desk staff were friendly. Checking in and out was pretty simple. Someone in the room above us decided to stomp around and bang the floor at 2 in the morning. We won't be back.…
we stayed on our anniversary, there was a used red straw under the desk, lots of dust, chairs were dusty, bed was like bricks, the fan in the bathroom didn't work, the heater was blowing cold, tooth paste on the bathroom door, the thing you hang your clothes on was broke, this was room 221, she had a rude attitude, she was going to charge us 100.00 deposit, said they don't take cards to hold rooms, all in all the inside of the building looks like there were some fights there sometime, needs new management, new desk person, all in all...new make over, and a REAL HOUSEKEEPER, one that knows how to clean!!!
My husband and I booked a room on their actual website two days before being in the area for a family wedding. We had confirmation number/paperwork, called to confirm check in after wedding ceremony on the day of our stay to let them know we would be there soon to check in. Rude lady answered the phone and said she didn't see us on the books, we didn't have room, and our confirmation number didn't matter to her. We were to call back at 8:30 p.m. to talk to a manager...! We stayed elsewhere and called the next morning, the guy that answered said we did have a room. We were charged regardless. Very unpleasant experience, would not recommend booking your room on their website that's all I can tell you.
The check in process was excruciating. The clerk complained that I was checking in when she had just gotten there and she hadn't even counted the till yet. I paid for 2 adults and my fiance hadn't shown up yet and it was a nightmare to convince them I needed 2 key cards. Upon arrival into my room there were red splatters on the wall, and a huge crusty brown stain on the side of the box spring. I decided since I was here to officiate my friends wedding, I would suck it up and deal with the atrocious state of the room. At 1am I moved my nightstand closer to my bed and a crackpipe rolled out from under it. YES, A CRACK PIPE. At this point I was traumatized. When I went down to the desk to ask for a new room the woman behind the desk refused me. I had reserved a smoking room because it was the only room available for 2 consecutive evenings. She told me because (and I quote) "You are a smoker, I can't switch you to a non-smoking room." I told her I am not a smoker. I explained I booked the only room I could where I wouldn't have to move all of my things at 11am the busy day of the wedding. She rudely still refused and said my only option was to check out immediately for a full refund. I told her I would need some time to find other accommodations as it was after 1 in the morning. After an argument I negotiated for her to give me 10 minutes. I made her come up to my room and remove the pipe while I packed frantically and called a hotel up the road. I severely regret not calling the police, as this was severely disturbing. The woman did not once apologize and was very accusatory. She acted like this was my fault. I was and remain seriously shaken. This is THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Do NOT STAY HERE EVER. A sleeping bag in the parking lot would have been a more pleasant experience. At least I wouldn't have had to deal with the entire tragedy that is this establishment.…
NO ,, from the time we got here , but had to stay with crew . We needed plugs to plug in our trucks .. only 2 worked on outside perimeter of parking spots . Kinda inconvenient when they say they have some and none work . They charge 30 a night per dog ! That's crazy . No coffee pot , no microwave . Still 89 a night these are crazy prices , for OLD stays . For 10-20 more stay in updated newer, cleaner , and coffee pot , AND WILL have a pool . AC/ heat barely worked in 108 .closet rack is way unlevel .. but it works .. just people need to know . Not a good stay for money it's a 50-60 a night at most .. AND most of ALL this SHOWED up TOO. It's always questionable when you have five cars in the parking lot packed full of books and VHS movies?
Rooms are big and spaceous commpared to other hotels I stayed in, and usually equipped with a TV. Bathrooms were neat and tidy, albeit a bit small. Breakfast is availabe in the lounge for free, as well as a microwave. Plastic cutlery and napkins are available round the clock, if you prefer to eat in your room etc. Staff was polite and helpful - my AC happened to break due to bad luck, and when informed, staff moved me to a better room without extra charge.
