Enjoy your stay in Anoka!
We stayed at the Inn we we really enjoyed it. It is a beautiful old home and well maintained. Our room was big and had a sitting area, king bed and nice bathroom. The host was very kind and welcoming. The breakfast was delivered to our room and was delicious. It was a great memory made us.
My family members and I were staying in Anoka to attend my mother’s memorial service. Debbie’s hospitality and generous spirit made our visit less difficult. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, Debbie let us use her living room to gather with our family, We had a gorgeous breakfast each morning in her relaxing dining room space. The house and surrounding grounds are lovely and walking along the river is a real treat. We hope to stay at Debbie’s again another time when we visit relatives in Minnesota. Thank you Debbie for all of your kindness.
Had no idea that this lovely place was in this otherwise "regular" town. Debbie, the proprietor, was especially kind to us. Stayed here for 3 days, slept so well. Debbie also provided a lovely breakfast for my mom and sister, who weren't staying there, so that we could all eat together before we went off on our day. I also enjoyed learning about the family that had originally lived there and the history of the place. An unexpected delight and DELICIOUS breakfasts every day.
My husband and I stayed here for our 29th wedding anniversary. Our host was so kind and accommodating! Our room was large, nicely decorated and clean-- the entire home was immaculate! We stayed in the Ticknor Suite which had a large jetted tub, king size bed (very comfortable), fireplace and a small table and chair set. We were treated to a delicious breakfast on the front porch. Both my husband enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend this bed and breakfast. We will definitely return!
My daughters Tami Leonhardt and Kelly Durenberger and I have stayed at Ticknor Hill B&B for the last 20 years! It is located in the quaint town of Anoka! We share our birthdays and the Christmas holidays here! It is beautiful! Debbie, the Innkeeper is outstanding! She serves the most elegant full course breakfast! Coffee is brewing! Desserts are set out elegantly by the coffee and tea! This B&B is the most elegant beautiful piece of paradise! It is gorgeous! Pristine clean and relaxing! The porch is a lovely to have our morning coffee! It’s a great place for a newly wed couple to spend their honeymoon! A great place to spend quality time with your friends or family! A great place to relax! Check it out! You’ll love it’s elegant beauty!
We were upgraded to the Ticknor Suite. The B&B is in a beautiful setting along Third Avenue; we're from the Twin Cities and we didn't realize how lovely parts of Anoka are. The old house had safe and secure off-street parking. In fact, we left our bicycles on our car, we felt so safe. Our hostess, Debbie, was charming. However, the breakfast was overcooked, and the coffee mediocre (too weak).
A historic home built in 1867 with the charm of the past and comfort of today! Located in historic Anoka's church hill(only hill in Anoka where the majority of church's were built) this home has spacious greens to play croquet and bocce ball and slow life's pace down. The front porch is welcoming with a porch swing and rockers to enjoy the scenery and fall foliage. Inside the
We celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary at Ticknor Hill last week, just as we have celebrated several other anniversaries there. The accommodations, the hospitality, the food at breakfast, all excellent. We will definitely be back!
My wife and I have stayed here twice now and we really love it. Debbie is an exceptional host who is super friendly, hospitable, and makes world class breakfasts. There is much history to Ticknor and it adds to the experience to study it. Each room is quite comfortable and the main parlour offers a cozy experience with a pool table, games, and more. It is quite comfortable just relaxing in your room listening to music over drinks as well. I highly recommend Ticknor Inn B&b for a clean, quiet, comfortable stay. We are glad we found this place.
We stayed here for 1 delightful week. It was everything a Bed and Breakfast to be expected. Each morning we were greeted with a delicious breakfast cooked out of love. The coffee was absolutely wonderful. Real maple syrup for the pancakes or French toast. Fresh flowers on the table, cloth napkins, heirloom china, so perfect in presentation and taste. Our room and bed very comfortable. The front porch was great to sit on in the evening wrapping up our days. A wild thunderstorm was great to watch our last night. There is no TV in the rooms but there is a living room in the back that there is a TV. Each room has a nice Bose radio. Each room has a sitting area with comfort to read and chat. There is only 1 issue I found peculiar..... each shower has liquid hand soap for shampoo and bathing. Luckily I brought my own shampoo and shower gel. I would highly recommend.…
