Had no idea that this lovely place was in this otherwise "regular" town. Debbie, the proprietor, was especially kind to us. Stayed here for 3 days, slept so well. Debbie also provided a lovely breakfast for my mom and sister, who weren't staying there, so that we could all eat together before we went off on our day. I also enjoyed learning about the family that had originally lived there and the history of the place. An unexpected delight and DELICIOUS breakfasts every day.
My husband and I stayed here for our 29th wedding anniversary. Our host was so kind and accommodating! Our room was large, nicely decorated and clean-- the entire home was immaculate! We stayed in the Ticknor Suite which had a large jetted tub, king size bed (very comfortable), fireplace and a small table and chair set. We were treated to a delicious breakfast on the front porch. Both my husband enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend this bed and breakfast. We will definitely return!
My daughters Tami Leonhardt and Kelly Durenberger and I have stayed at Ticknor Hill B&B for the last 20 years! It is located in the quaint town of Anoka! We share our birthdays and the Christmas holidays here! It is beautiful! Debbie, the Innkeeper is outstanding! She serves the most elegant full course breakfast! Coffee is brewing! Desserts are set out elegantly by the coffee and tea! This B&B is the most elegant beautiful piece of paradise! It is gorgeous! Pristine clean and relaxing! The porch is a lovely to have our morning coffee! It’s a great place for a newly wed couple to spend their honeymoon! A great place to spend quality time with your friends or family! A great place to relax! Check it out! You’ll love it’s elegant beauty!
We were upgraded to the Ticknor Suite. The B&B is in a beautiful setting along Third Avenue; we're from the Twin Cities and we didn't realize how lovely parts of Anoka are. The old house had safe and secure off-street parking. In fact, we left our bicycles on our car, we felt so safe. Our hostess, Debbie, was charming. However, the breakfast was overcooked, and the coffee mediocre (too weak).
A historic home built in 1867 with the charm of the past and comfort of today! Located in historic Anoka's church hill(only hill in Anoka where the majority of church's were built) this home has spacious greens to play croquet and bocce ball and slow life's pace down. The front porch is welcoming with a porch swing and rockers to enjoy the scenery and fall foliage. Inside the
