I would not return. Do not recommend. The current owners have had the place for 2 years. They said they might update one cabin next year. The cabins were dirty (not at all Like the photos posted). Both of our comforters had gross white stains on them. Thankful we brought our own blankets. Couldn’t even hardly shut our patio door….essentially busted and worried it would break on the kids. Dusty and cob webs. One day a water line broke and they didn’t bother to tell us or let us know when it would be back on or even suggest or offer bathrooms and showers at the office or bring us water. Was off about 3 hours. Never apologized or anything. Everyone in the cabins were upset. (Must have a different water line than all the seasonal cabins). I’m Not an electrician but the Electrical hook ups inside the Cabin seem shady—electrical cords run places saying “do not unplug” and blow a circuit when you run the microwave. Beach is not clean. Mucky and clearly no efforts to make it swimmable. The pool is super dirty, I don’t care if it’s end of the season—I check pools for my job and this one is not up to code. Wash your own dishes= use at your own risk! We washed everything we used before using it. The day we left the owner made a comment to us about “it’s 9:15, times a ticking” (with checkout at 10) it just felt rude—how about “did you enjoy your stay? Thanks for staying?” It’s $1.50/per person to play mini golf, it’s 18 holes but most of them are so wore down you can’t even play. We aren’t that high maintenance and made-do. But I just would never pay this price for this place.

I am sorry to hear you didn’t have a good stay with us. We try to do as many updates as we can afford and time will allow. We also realize we have a lot of work ahead of us. The water line you refer to was a broken line. We fixed it as quick as we could. We had to run into town to get parts for it. While in your case I understand you felt it was not up to your expectations we try to do the best we can with what we have. If you had a dirty comforter you should have let us know as that is very unacceptable. This was probably the most surprising part of your review as many have said the cabins are very clean. Our cleaning staff work very hard and we above average wages for that service. Thank you for staying with us and the honest review. If you choose to come back I hope we can do better next time!

Have been here several times in the past but can say this visit was nothing short of awful. The cabin's in the past have been unclean but I booked another stay under the assumption that with new owner's there would be improvements. I was sadly mistaken. The cabin we stayed in looked as if it had not been cleaned in months. Dirt, dust, etc. The shower head is stuck in a position that it sprays half way up the wall and into the corner. The back patio had a hornet's nest under a piece of the roof that was wasted away. In closing, this will be the last visit and will be looking elsewhere for our next family vacation.

I am sorry to hear your cabin did not meet your standards. I wish you would have let us know when you were here. We are trying and had been getting comments different from yours on cleanliness. We will work harder to ensure this doesn’t continue to happen.

Arrived at "the lake" after 10 years of coming to same resort same cabins same days with rule you cannot reserve 2 years in advance, if you are here you have presidency on the following year to reserve again, but previous owner hired new person and reserved out cabin 2 years out to new customer, we are told tough luck nothing they can do. 15-20 family members from across the country come every year.

I see we have not been keeping up with our technology either. We bought Big Foot Resort about the time of this review last year. If I am not mistaken I personally worked with someone in your group to get this corrected for future stays. If that is inaccurate please let me know what we can do to make it right.

This is a very fun place when you have kids who like to swim. They have pools which make it alot easier when you have various age kids. Friendly staff, mini golf, playground that could use some updating, but otherwise fine.

Our RV camp site was number one. It is lakeside and full hookups. However, only 30 amp is available. Two beautiful trees provided shade. Nice view of the lake. A picnic table and fire ring is provided. Checkin was fast and friendly. The resort map is easy to follow. We had no issues with the hookups. Our site was private but most sites are close together. Total cost was $37.50 including tax. We did not use any of the amenities. Verizon service is excellent. Over the air tv has about many stations. We enjoyed our overnight stay.

My husband and I brought our 6 grandkids for a week of "Cousins' Camp" this past summer and we had such fun. There were so many things for us to do outside that we never needed to leave the grounds! We stayed in Cabin 7, which is a huge home, and couldn't have asked for nicer accommodations. The owner, Terry, went above and beyond for us. We definitely would return!

Big Foot has been home for us during the summer for ten years. Joe and Terri Martin have been our hosts for the entire time, and have been simply wonderful. They don't just treat us as guests, but they are our friends. For those considering Big Foot as a place for a day/week/summer, Joe and Terri treated us this way from the very first weekend when we stayed just two days, Our experience was so much to our liking, we bought a "Park Model" trailer and have been here every since during the summer. "Off the roaders" get the same warm and friendly treatment. Come and visit, and you will see, A lake full of fish is a real plus!

We visited Bigfoot Resort for 4 nights. There is good and bad! Let's start with the good! Nice for the kids! Pool was kept open for us which we appreciated. Beach was a great area to play and the kids really preferred to play in the water and sand even tho it was chilly. The bikes provided was also a nice touch. The Wee Tee is hilariously old but the kids did not mind. Fishing off the dock was fun for the kids and easy! We rented a Pontoon and I was really concerned because it was pretty old. However it did it's job and we were able to see the beautiful lake. Quite reasonably priced. Owners very nice!! The cabin was a different story. The size was nice since we had 6 adults and 3 children. ( Ages 1,3,&5). It just needs some TLC and updating! Unable to leave door open to deck because screen all most completely off storm door. Many flies inside! Deck furniture dirty. Oven door broken . Ladder on bunk bed broken. We called and they did come promptly to try to make it safe. Futon really uncomfortable . Windowsills really dirty. Noticed all the rodent preventive plug ins. Not 100% effective. Didn't see any but there were traces!! Yes , there is a smell to the water but we saw that on reviews and brought lots of bottled water. Musty smell in basement so we purchased several room deodorizes since 3 bedrooms are down there. I looked into one of the smaller cabins on the beach and they seemed much cleaner and updated, just too small for us. Wish there was a list on website on what to bring. Found out accidentally there were no towels. Would I stay again?? Not sure. Maybe, but not in the same cabin. Like I said good size, layout nice, and pretty view of lake with sunrise but needs help!

I have not been good at responding to reviews and keeping this forum updated, as I also should also be with our Facebook page. I plan to work on that. I appreciate constructive criticisms as this reviewer has offered. When the majority of your guests are back year after year, a person can tend to get complacent and not make changes that they probably should to the cabin or grounds. After reading this most recent review, my wife and I walked through the cabin noting what we thought should be changed, then we spent some time relaxing in the cabin and we saw even more. We have had the resort for 18 years, and for the first 10 or 12 years made huge changes to everything most every year, but have let some things linger in recent years that we probably should not have. We found a lot in this cabin that we are now working on and more yet to come. For starters we have installed knotty pine throughout the entry area and up the stairs. It’s a great first impression when you first walk in now…smells nice too. This cabin had the old bi-fold doors on the closets throughout the cabin. Those are all gone now and have just trimmed the frame of the door openings with knotty pine with no doors. Much brighter and cleaner looking. The ceiling in the lower level had lighting behind clear ceiling panels, and the light was not well distributed or bright, despite the size bulb placed behind. Those have all been replaced with recessed LED lights which protrude through the ceiling, which are very bright and distribute the light very well. The interior doors were oak with a fairly dark stain and trim. As of today, all lower level doors and all but the upstairs bath door have been replaced, and that bath door should be done next week. We are having to work between rentals. The new doors are 6 panel white solid core for sound suppression. All trim is knotty pine, and the combination brightens it up and obviously gives a nice updated look. The upstairs living area TV had problems when we sat to watch it…the intensity was not even from side to side. Even thought that TV was only 2 years old we replaced it with a 49” 4k UHD TV. The picture is phenomenal. All bedrooms have a TV as does the lower entryway. Some have built in DVD players. All lighting has been changed to LED, except the new floor lamp in the living area and the kitchen which are fluorescent. The large window in the living area will also be changed out this winter or spring with side sliding vent windows instead of the double hung style that is installed now. We noticed that vapor has gotten between the glass panes. This is an original window from when the cabin was built in the 80’s so it’s due to be replaced. All blinds in the living/dining area have been changed to curtains I hope these changes will help you consider coming to see us again!

We went for our first time as a family to a lake for a full week. We were not sure what to expect. We arrived and it was a very beautiful lake and scenery. We seen loons, seagulls, ducks and more. The cabin we rented is just the size we needed for our size family. It was very clean. They provided dishes, utensils, and cups. We brought everything else we needed just like at a cabin of our own. We are right on the waters edge. Volleyball net, kayaks, row boats and canoes, paddle boats are free to use. They have pontoons and fishing boats for rent. They provide a gas grill as well as a charcoal grill for use. We brought our own water to drink l because there is well water used. Just like I remember at our cabin when i was young. The people that are in the office are extremely happy eager to help and make us happy. They have DVD players that use for free as well as plenty of movies to use and board games to use for free. The pool is small but enough for kids to have a great time. I read some of these extremely mean and nasty reviews and I am blown away. I am so glad we came up here to see for ourselves. The cabins itself do need some work. The table we had inside the cabin was wobbly And floor dipped in and was slanted and the toaster was Broken. But for a wonderful family filled week it was just fine. Thank you big foot resort , we will be back. The Pietruszewski's
