For the price, our stay was as expected. Nothing fancy but I always appreciate good service and a clean room. No issues with our room, a good place to stay for a quick overnight. The morning breakfast area was understaffed. The service was very friendly but the food and coffee were picked over or gone with about 30 minutes left for breakfast. Compared to other stays in similar hotels, the breakfast selection left something to be desired. Front desk staff were very friendly, helpful during our stay.

Bring your own linens. From what I read, i thought this would be decent for a quick overnight stay. The toilet seat was broken, switched rooms 2x. The night staff person could careless about our complaints about the NASTY, DISGUSTING, OLD, DISCOLORED LINENS!

I travelled from SC to MI to celebrate a good friend’s birthday! I have been a Choice Hotel member for years. This was by far the worst stay I have ever had!! I had booked a nonsmoking king room for four nights. When I checked in, the desk attendant was friendly and gave me cards for a room that smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke, it was nauseating. I reported this to the desk and was assigned another room. This room had no hand towels, an empty tissue box, and someone’s hair tie on the floor. I reported this and was told, someone would bring the missing items. After a couple of hours, I returned to the front desk and found another attendant. I again reported the missing items, and after some time she brought them to the room. Obviously, the need had not been communicated. Upon going out for the evening, I noticed a man lounging in a chair next to the front desk that appeared to be a friend of the attendant, who never even acknowledged me. The outside entrance area was covered with cigarette butts, even though receptacles were present. At one a.m. on the third morning I awoke to the sound of water running in the bathroom. Water was pouring from a light fixture from the second floor flooding the entire bathroom floor and leeching into the hallway carpet. Upon reporting it, I was offered another room, but as it was 1a.m. I settled on the four bath towels offered by the desk attendant, who said he would check out the apartment on the second floor. However, at 9a.m. The flooding reoccured. I moved to another hotel! Manager, Julian Jarbo called me and refunded two nights stay, telling me none of the items I complained of were common occurrences. I wasn’t convinced...

We were there for a funeral so we didn’t spend much time at the hotel. Lots of little things went wrong. Only 1/2 roll of TP and no extra. Second dispenser didn’t even have a roller. First morning hairdryer quit. Notified the desk at 8:30. Returned to hotel at 8 pm, no new dryer. Only choice was to change rooms. Got a 3rd floor room. Packed up our stuff then we find out elevator isn’t working and spouse can’t do stairs. Had to go back and get a different room, wasn’t what we had asked for, but we could deal with it. Every time the air conditioner cycled on it sounded like a fog horn. Breakfast was not great. Two of 3 days there were scrambled eggs which were burned, literally black. Juice machine either gave water or 75% syrup. Pool was an outdoor pool. Said it was heated but we didn’t try it, but doesn’t make sense in Michigan since summer is so short. Hotel book said bottled water available in every vending machine. There were 2 rows assuming for water, but not one bottle in the machine. To top it off the external handle on the back entrance was broken so the door was propped open. Won’t be staying there again. I did send an email to the manager.
