There are several wonderful options in this college town, but few come up to the standards of this immaculate & welcoming B&B. The breakfast alone is worth a 5-star rating. We were served poached pears with anise and cranberries as a breakfast starter--outstanding! The Avalyn is managed by a warm and friendly couple who give their guests both every consideration and privacy. We are looking forward to our return.

We stayed at Avalyn Garden Bed & Breakfast on two separate nights, staying in the Monet room one night and the Santiago room the other night. Wow! What a wonderful experience! We were greeted upon arrival by Donna. We were given a quick tour of the accommodations right away. The rooms are beautifully appointed and a true luxury to enjoy. The Monet room was the original master bedroom so the attached bathroom is a real pleasure to use. The bedding was soft and comfortable. There is central air conditioning and ceiling fans to maintain a comfortable temperature. Each room had a small refrigerator. On the main level there is a dining room, living room, and study for the use of the guests. Again, these rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I enjoyed sitting on a very comfortable couch whilte reading some of the books they have on hand. The dining room has fruit, baked treats, coffee and tea always available. Donna will serve you breakfast at a time that works with your schedule. The 2 course, freshly cooked breakfasts were delicious! And we met other guests over breakfast; all were very kind and interesting people. There are only 3 guest rooms, so there are never many guests at one time. There was parking available out front. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful stay we had. Donna and Lee made us feel very welcome and we felt spoiled by such a beautiful home and delicious food!

This small hotel is attended by their owners, it was originally a family house and is situated in a big garden, sorrounded by a beautiful neighbourhood. Burns Park is just a 10 minutes walking distance, but walking around in neighbouring streets is also a nice experience. Rooms are adequately furnished, bathrooms have good amenities, bath towels are changed daily. Breakfast is served with a different main feature every morning prepared with great care. Coffee, tea, fruits and snacks are available at any time and replenished when needed.

We had a wonderful experience staying in the Monet room at Avalyn Garden. What a great place for refreshing and fun honeymoon, both the space and the location! We got in late after our wedding and the innkeeper stayed up to welcome us. The Perrys are wonderful hosts and have a fantastic B & B! Highly recommended to any Ann Arbor travelers!
