I recently stayed here and overall very much enjoyed my stay. It is about a 20 minute walk to downtown Ann Arbor which I found convenient not having rented a car. The breakfast was delicious. The room was spacious and well kept. The issue I had was with the bathroom. The sink was in the bedroom away from the toilet...

Oops. There is a shower shelf tucked behind the shower curtain. We should have mentioned it to you. As for the sink, we'll put a small stand near it for toiletries. Good idea! Thanks and we're glad you enjoyed your stay!

A recent stay at the Stone Chalet was a disappointment. We rented the Carriage house that can accommodate eight. There was one small bathroom, which created a certain sense of stress and unease. The bathroom itself was in one of the sleeping areas so the couple there had a stream of passersby on the way to use the one facility....

We're sorry. That space is not intended to be used by 8 people. Not sure where that info came from but we'll try to find out. The StoneChalet.com website is the source of information about the Inn and questions can be answered by email and phone before you reserve also.

Stayed with family while in town for a memorial service. Jake took such good care of us helping us arrange a get together at the Inn after the service. Changed our plans, had guests arrive at odd times. Needed to borrow a few items for the get together - - Jake just took it (us) in stride. The rest of...

We were in Ann Arbor house-hunting, and decided to stay here instead of in a hotel. The house is in a very quiet part of town, but close to everything. We had a lovely room with a king bed and gas fireplace for heat. There was no TV, which was fine for us. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom...

Best thing about this inn is Jake! He was helpful and very knowledgeable. I arrived early and he accommodated me. The room was nice ( no tv) which was just fine. I stayed in Ada's room which is near the guest door. I could hear all the guests coming and going - quite loud. The breakfast was included and Jake...

My husband and I were so excited to stay here on our first ever visit to Ann Arbor. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman who was not the owner, I can't recall his name. He was so welcoming and knowledgable in all of the history of the house. The house itself is absolutely gorgeous and the antiques are...

The chalet itself is tastefully done and our room is absolutely cozy. We feel relaxed and at home here. The innkeepers have been very friendly, accommodating and informative. Our guest services specialist, Jake, was fantastically helpful; our every expectation and need has been met. Our breakfast was satisfying and served cheerfully in a welcoming dining area. The rates are reasonable...

When we arrived, tge inn keeper indicated that it was a good thing we didn't arrive a minute later, though we had agreed through email that our arival time would be between 6 and 7 pm. We arrived before that. But she said no one would have been there to recieve us if we hadn't arrived when we did because...

We got in late around 9:30 pm. It was so nice that the owner waited up for us. We got to stay in the cottage house, which was very spacious for the three of us. The breakfast was amazing. So many different items to select from. The young adults on the trip especially enjoyed the fact that we had amazing...

In my experience, hotels in Ann Arbor fall into two categories: perfectly ordinary hotels that are outrageously overprice, or reasonably priced hotels that seem like the set of a horror movie. I declared my independence from those two evils when I found the Stone Chalet B&B last year. It's now my go-to option. The Chalet itself is spacious, cool, and...

Thanks for the nice review Mark! Just to let everyone know we just doubled our data and WiFi is faster and hopefully can handle more users as Comcast says it can. We have a cell phone mini tower/booster here waiting to be installed in the Parsonage where seven of the guest rooms are so hopefully this will help with phone...
