Really comfortable beds, great wifi, the best hot shower I've had during my time in Bolivia and a lovely free breakfast. There's a kitchen too which is a bonus. Much cheaper than other hostels we checked and it seemed much nicer. Highly recommended.

The options in Potosí are not so many, but this is probably the best. This is probably one of the best. The location is great, very close to the central square of the city and the main street. We stayed in a double room with private bathroom facing the street which was comfortable and clean (nothing special, but ok). Breakfast... More

Arrived to a slightly unfriendly welcome from the older male receptionist who informed me I could only stay for 2 nights when I had in fact booked for 3. He seemed unapologetic and said the whole hostel had been booked out for the 3rd night and I couldn't stay that night. In the end the situation was partly rectified by... More

Accomodation options are pretty limited in Potosi but you'd better avoid this one. The customer service here is terrible. The staff members do their minimum and are not likely to go an extra-mile in attending you. They are better off trying to sell you tours or bus tickets, as they get commissions. Politeness is definitely alien to them. If you... More

Hostel Carlos V is located about a block from Potosi's main square. We had a double room that was clean and had comfortable beds. The only fault was the slightly pokey shower but the water was hot and plentiful. The inclusive breakfast was simple and served by a friendly, non English speaking, lady. Probably one of the better low cost... More

We stayed 4 nights in a private twin room with shared bathroom. The 3 storey hostel is in an old building with all rooms facing inward to an enclosed glass courtyard. Our room did not have an external window (it appeared that most did not either) which lead to the room becoming a bit stuffy. I imagine the rooms with... More

Our first room (ask for the suite!) was very nice! Totally big with a clean bathroom. After two nights we had to change the room and this one was just horrible! No window so that the walls started going mouldy! The smell in the room and the bathroom was terrible! Breakfast is nothing special. The hostal is very nice located... More

We stayed at this hostal for 2 nights during our stay in potosi. It is well located - really close to the plaza 10 de noviembre and casa de la moneda! The rooms are clean and warm (this was in may - weather will become cooler and this could change) and their is hot water for your shower! It had... More

This hostal is in a great location. Very good hot showers and wifi connection. The patio area is a bit noisy/echos but that's also partly due to other travelers ignorance. Breakfast is a bit average however on the second morning I did get yoghurt/banana mix and a good coffee. Room is a little musty however perfectly acceptable for a few... More

This is by far the best hostel my friend and I have ever stayed at. What a breath of fresh air. The receptionist was so lovely and helpful and showed us where we could get some late night food. The rooms are very clean as is the bathroom. Highly recommend. And breakfast is great too!
