Firstly, the one excellent review on here was written about a different hotel. This hotel is in a great location 1 min walk from the creek, Abra station and souk. It's also very well priced, and the staff are helpful. The room was rather neglected. Horrible shower curtain, bad water pressure, mold around the bath, dodgy fan, balcony door that... More

I normally begin a review by discussing the strengths first and then move on to the negative comments. Perhaps I'm not the best reviewer because there should always be something to say negative because we should all agree nothing is perfect. However, The Palace Hotel in Dubai is the most perfect hotel I have ever visited. Look, I don't want... More

I have been in Dubai for 7 days and stayed at this hotel. We had booked 2 rooms (double + king size), and had a great time during stay. Nice location just a minute away from ABRA (boat) station connects to Diera dubai (gold market). There are good Indian restaurants near by this hotel and a metro station is only... More

Big room, good air conditioning, near the Creek and souks, friendly staff but bugs in the bathroom and poor breakfast. If you ask on the front desk, maybe they get you some beers. Inf front of Iranian Mosque that will probably wake you up early in the morning.

Staying in The Creek

Neighborhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
