Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Atana Hotel emerges as a commendable choice for its welcoming service and prime location, especially for those wanting easy Metro access. While the staff's attentiveness has garnered appreciation, some guests have encountered occasional lapses. The hotel's overall atmosphere, marked by a distinctive pleasant scent, gets mixed reviews due to its average decor.
Room opinions are polarized; they are recognized for their spaciousness and cleanliness but criticized for outdatedness and maintenance issues. Cleanliness shines as a strong point throughout, although opinions on value and amenities like the swimming pool vary, with some concerns about overcrowded spaces and malfunctioning facilities.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed for 10 nights and following what I had read on the reviews when I booked directly with the hotel I asked for a shower, a quiet room not over looking the busy road. I got a shower over the bath over looking the road! He receptionist read out my request back to us and said he was sorry he had no nice rooms left! In fairness our delux double was a nice enough room although it would have been nice to have a couple of chairs rather then a chaise lounge as we were there for 10 nights, we booked the bigger room with a balcony for relaxing in after a day out and about. The balconies are locked following a incident previously which is sad but other hotels have balconies that the guests use, don’t charge more and advertise something you can’t use.
The hotel is well placed for using the trains, just a five minutes walk away, very clean, easy to use and cheap £2-3 return journey. The hotel provides some complimentary transfers but we found it better not to be held to their times. We took the transfer to the point 25 minutes later we could still see the hotel and when we arrived we realised there was nothing much to do unless you wanted to eat so walked back, about 1.5 hours walk if your wondering.
Dubai is a fantastic place to visit it’s clean, safe, so much to see especially if you walk and the only rubbish we saw was the cards advertising the ‘ladies’ which seemed to be a issue locally.
So the reason I’ve only given this hotel 3 stars is purely down to the food but this is a big part of your holiday especially if like us you choose half board. I don’t eat meat just fish and vegetarian food so my choices are always slightly limited but I don’t consider broccoli as a vegetarian option it’s a vegetable side dish and whilst the salads are tasty many contain meat, if you are vegetarian I would not recommend half board. The biggest issue we had was with the temperature of the food and as many others have recently said it is Luke warm which is a shame as the food is tasty enough but there is no point in making decent food and then not making the effort to serve it correctly. This was the same at breakfast, good selection but cold/barely warm omelette etc. This needs addressing by the management as I certainly wouldn’t stay half board again.
Not sure why they have two nice restaurants and then serve the evening meal in such a gloomy room, set out like a school canteen.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights, during our trip in Dubai. It is a good, clean hotel. The room was big enough, we had bathrobes, slippers and toiletries, a safe, hair dryer. The beds were big and comfortable, sheets clean and smelled nice.
One aspect of the room I didn't like was a small rug near the beds that was quite dirty and I asked to be removed from the room ( as I saw in friend's rooms the rugs were as dirty as mine).
Other rooms seemed to be a bit more modern and renovated than ours. All in all the room was ok, at level 16 we had a nice view. We stayed in Adam tower.
The cleaning personnel and the ones from the restaurants were quite nice people.
The reception personnel could be a bit more friendly. One of my friends had a problem and when I asked for help the receptionist she asked if I was sure about the problem, because she has to tell the hotel manager about it. I sensed she didn't believe me and didn't want to disturb the hotel manager. Then she proceeded to check in a guest leaving me to wait. As I was fed up of waiting, I approached a guy from security and he helped us. I also didn't like the tourism personnel approaching me asking me where I want to go, and when I said where I want to go, he said he will help call a taxi but they offered me the hotel car, which I think it was more expensive than a usual car. Of course I wasn't obligated to take this car but I was a bit taken by surprise.
We had the breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast was ok, but not great, even though they had a variety of foods, some were without taste.
All in all it is a good hotel, especially for the value of money. Would recommend.

My husband and I stayed at the Atana over New Year's for about a week. We really liked the location (close the the metro train - walking distance) and overall enjoyed our time. The spa offers great deals throughout the week and the people who worked in there were super friendly and made it a really relaxing experience. The gym is also pretty good (I did wish it was a little larger as it did get crowded in the morning and there's limited floor space for exercise away from the machines), but it had all the basics. The pool is also quite nice and there were plenty of places to sit and enjoy the comfortable winter weather. We loved the breakfast buffet (lots of options and very fresh) and loved the mint lemonade.
The only thing that keeps this from getting five stars is that we'd spent a little more money to have a balcony room because we enjoy sitting outside. We were never notified ahead of time that the balconies were all closed/locked and inaccessible (why have them?).

Nice clean room, friendly staff, however beware as this is a dry hotel which means alcohol isn’t served anywhere in the hotel so you need to find other hotels to go to for a drink.
The food is also very disappointing. Limited vegetarian options and every morning and evening the food was cold. So we ended up eating out all the time. Not worth paying full board for!
The pool gets very limited sun as its shaded by the buildings.
We was on floor 19 and with 4 lifts servicing over 400 rooms, meant lifts were often full when we tried to use them.
Location is isolated with nothing nearby and nothing within walking distance, so ended up paying for taxis everywhere.
The free shuttle bus was always on time but limited to minimal times per day.
Wouldn’t recommend.

I recently went to Atana’s hotel three weeks before and I recommended the hotel to everyone.
However; this time the staff mostly changed their professional attitude and I was very disappointed with the services I received. As a group of friends we booked 4 rooms for 3 nights.
First, the AC was not working all night, the technicians came four times to fix it took them 4 hours.
Second; when I spoke with Mona (duty Manager) and George ( I don’t know his position) the responses I received were rude and disrespectful to their customers minimum requests like not cleaning the 4 rooms at all. They and their staff start complaining from the hotel owners and top managers for cutting their allowances and they are not happy, which definitely is not my responsibility as a guest to listen to negative vibes and complains in a place I need to feel comfort ans happy.
Third; I asked my room to be clean up at 12pm and we came at 11pm and the rooms were not done and it took them till 1:20 am to clean up the rooms.
The breakfast was crowded and unorganized although the food were delicious with wide varieties.
In addition, the dine in kids meals delivered to the rooms (the Aladdin and super hero’s meals) were creative ideas, delicious and fresh.
I would like to thank Hani from reservations as he was polite over the phone to reserve our rooms.
Bottom line, the staff of the hotel need intensive training to be customer oriented and keep a side their problems with their top managements.
The top management should consider the feedback for future improvements and intensive training for the employees or the hotel will lose its good reputation.
As a disappointed guest. Mr. George replied to our complain that we waited for 11 hours for my room to be cleaned with a rude unprofessional way he said “you are lucky they cleaned already after 11 hours of waiting”!!! And that was not funny!!

Stayed in family connecting room including buffet breakfast. Great price compared to other hotels available for our dates. 2 very spacious rooms each with en suite bathroom and own room door and then a further external door to the corridor. Awesome view. Breakfast fabulous - food plentiful and huge variety - gets very busy so we took the hotel's advice and attempted to eat before 9am. Used free shuttle buses a fair bit in conjunction with the metro and taxis. Dubai is fairly spreadout - we often found a taxi to be cheaper for a short trip than 4 metro tickets. One day, the hotel was kind enough to put on a second bus themselves when the first bus run by the outside provider was full. All staff very courteous and attentive. We used room service a fair bit and found the pizzas excellent value for money and delicious.

Sadly this hotel has so much potential but is really extremely unpleasant if you are used to any level of basic comfort. Firstly, and most importantly, it is the first hotel in the world that I have visited that it is impossible to have a hot shower or bath. The staff attempted to correct this and offered me another room but I quickly realized that the rest of our party also did not have more that 30sec of hot water. I eventually went to the spa/sauna/steam room area to try get a hot shower..... even worse. Only one of the 3 showers working and ZERO hot or even warm water. Steam room also not functioning. Rooms are comfortable but impossible to control freezing aircon. Cant open balcony doors and no windows so stuffy as hell with no way of getting fresh air. staff generally very friendly and try to help. Breakfast and dinner is like a boarding school canteen. Type of grab and run scenario. Way under catered and quality very poor. Tea is premade in a big urn...... yea, no joke.... premade in an urn. Shocking for A 4 star hotel. Overall my only advise is to seriously look someone else, especially if you enjoy anything more than luke warm water in your shower or bath.

The hotel location was fantastic just minutes from the metro which took us straight to Dubai Mall. The place is also safe to walk anytime. The staff were really good in answering questions and felt that they tried their best to keep us happy. The negative parts of the hotel: The rooms are not cleaned regularly our bathroom was dusty when we arrived. The beds and rooms are not changed daily and u have to ask for them to clean and even then our bathroom was still not touched. I lifted the toilet sit and it had yellow old stains. This means the toilet seat hasn’t been getting cleaned daily and it now needs changing. The bathroom is out dated and needs a bit of upgrade especially the shower and bathtub. You can see that it’s been a long time they got changed and bath tub had stains. The other negative thing was the food. The buffet had a lot of choices but hygiene was poor. You had kids touching food and putting back especially bread rolls and cheese. Some people were even squeezing the bread with their hands to check if it was fresh. Considering that we are going through the pandemic, I think it could have been better off to have workers on maybe 3 stations to dish the food instead of people touching everything with their hands. The other thing is that tea and coffee lovers know that tea is very personal. The tea was already prepared which means that all u had to do was add milk. This is not good because u can’t make your tea strong or weak. The tea was also warm all the time because the milk wasn’t hot. I didn’t understand why they didn’t opt for hot water and tea bags on the side then people could make their tea. The drinks were only limited to apple juice and pineapple juice plus water. The restaurant does get really busy with people just pushing to get food. The WiFi was a non starter as it kept dropping making it impossible to do anything sometimes. They need to boost the internet service. I probably would stay here for the location but not include food.

stayed there for 11 nights, location is good quite convenient and central 10min walk to Metero station.
staff are really helpful especially Joseph and Ayyub are always there with helping hands.
room cleaning service was not too good in the beginning but upon mentioning things went better.
spa for ladies was closed during our visit which was disappointing.
hotel atmosphere is very pleasant and felt quite like at home.
they were happy to relocate us in a bigger room which was equipped with special needs facilities, also provided us a wheel chair which makes my mum's journey very comfortable.
free shuttle was there for few attractions but one day hotel provided us their own transport on a occasion when shuttle was full.
not sure about hotel ironing service as didn't use but asked for an iron and a board and they provided in the room immediately.
tea and coffee facilities was good and gave us a freedom to enjoy when ever we wanted. small fridge was in the room but cooling wasn't really good, beds and covers were good but rugs needs replacing as it seems dirty and worn out.
TV was sort of broken only few channels comes on.
toiletries was replaced also slippers and dressing gowns were there an extra pillow and blankets were provided in the room.
good location would recommend if you need to stay central.
pharmacy is next door and local corner shop was handy too.
not far from Saudi German and Al zahra hospital which came handy with drive through PCR test.

If you are looking for a 4 star experience, don't book with with hotel.
They are very short staffed which means that rooms are not serviced on time. Being out from 09:00 and getting back to your room after 21:00 to find housekeeping in there is horrible.
Most days we did not have either hand towels, bathroom floor mat, clean towels, tea or milk, water...always something missing or not done. Also, don't even bother requesting ironing equipment, we tried twice and it just never arrived.
We could not control the temperature in the room. The AC just did its own thing, so sometimes we were freezing and sometimes it was really uncomfortably hot.
The bed was very comfortable, that was one positive.
Overall our we were very disappointed with the facilities and the service provided.
