We are a couple that does staycation at least once a week so needless to say we have been to many hotels in Dubai. We have been in Taj JLT and the experience was good so we decided trying Taj Dubai and its a whole new level of service. We stayed there a day before my birthday and as thoughtful as they are, they picked up that it will be my birthday the next day so they went to surprise me. I came back and the room was decorated with balloons and a happy birthday sign and a birthday cake and a handwritten bday card to top it off. It was really so thoughtful and made my birthday memorable. Special mention to their guest relations manager Mansi for getting out of her way to arrange this little surprise for me and she even called me after to greet me again. The room we had was view of burj khalifa and the hotel looks in general looks really nice. Seriously worth a visit. I told myself that this is one hotel, I see myself coming back again and again. Thanks again for the lovely stay.

Taj never disappoint me whether I'm in India or outside. My decision of dining at their Indian Restaurant made our evening more pleasant. The smiling faces of staff make you feel like you're at your home. Thanks to Guest Relations staff for showing us their property. Amazing food and hospitality by another Taj family in Dubai. Keep up the fire of love towards your guest. You guys are best.

There are many wonderful things about the hotel - welcoming and helpful staff, location, rooms, restaurants - but many niggles that just don't help it. The half-board option offers a pretty limited menu at Bombay Brasserie, and bizarrely doesn't cover water (only overpriced Voss available). With four mains to choose from, the liklihood that you'd dine here more than once in a stay is doubtful, which is a shame as the restaurant has impeccable service (hat-tip to Rohit), and exceptionally flavoursome food. I've dined here in the past, so was a little disappointed by the limited option when dinner was pre-paid. Similarly, in-room dining was somewhat below par for a 5-star hotel. Again exceptionally limited in offerings, with the fish and chips tasting like it came from a frozen packet. We had hoped to dine at Miss Tess, but post brunch clean up meant it didn't reopen for dinner until 9pm - a little too late with an infant in-tow. The half-board breakfast at Tesoro came with little to no bells or whistles. It's worth noting that the pool only holds the sun between about 10 (maybe a little earlier) and 1, aside from which it's buried behind the surrounding high-rises, and there's no warmed kid's pool. There's also no bottled water provided to swimmers or sunbathers, and the swim-up bar rarely seemed manned. Perhaps on busier days it might be. Of course it was far from terrible. At check-in we were upgraded from "City" to "Burj" view - an impressive sight with floor-to-ceiling windows; at least until the building works directly in front of the Taj's prime view is completed - though the building is at slightly the wrong angle to catch the Burj's light show. The staff were also excellect throughout, sending a personalised welcome cake to our daughter. She being far too young to eat it meant that we could enjoy it. The room was also big, comfortable and clean. The only real let down was when accessing the smart TV's internet browser, its software wasn't up to date enough to load Netflix, and you could only connect your device via a HDMI cable (not something I had to hand). Overall, everything that the hotel staff could be good at, they excelled; service, cleanliness, friendliness, and helpfulness, and any negatively contained within this review is not a slight on them. They did everything they could to make our stay an enjoyable one, which despite my minor quibbles, it certainly was.

I had stayed here for 6 days. I was very impressed with this hotel. It had a great location close to many attractions and with many stores, great food whether it was room service or in one of their restaurants. The staff was very helpful like Gurwinder, Imran, Kenneth and Pio.

Stayed here with a friend and thought it was a really nice stay. Very good value for money, we stayed two nights and got the burj view room! The rooms were nice, slightly outdated a little bit but very spacious and the beds were so comfortable. The staff were all so helpful and kind. Breakfast was tasty and quick. Pool isn’t great for tanning as the sun didn’t hit the pool for the two days we were there. Overall it was a really good stay and the location is fantastic!
