The welcome and assistance from doormen John and Umar was so friendly on leaving and arriving. John claims to be 49? Really?? Lol Reception staff are so helpful and friendly, Khartika and Prakash and the others I don’t know their names. Dipin the manager was approachable when I requested a move as the awful damp stench in my room 204 was made worse that it had a balcony that was locked? 2 days later I got a better room with a window. Good size, clean and great air con. Breakfast was really good with a different choice of Indian food daily along with a good selection of fruits, salads, various eggs to order and bakery items. This was all made even more delightful from the support from the Manager of dining, Manjeet. He was most helpful and so organised, he will do well in his life. My room was attended to by Suman, very polite young man from Nepal. Good worker and good manners. We had the pool to ourselves most days and this was a bonus in the 40 plus degree heat, it was fabulous. The attention came from Rishi (Not UK Prime minister but better) He cleaned the pool daily and supplied us with information , towels and ice buckets to keep our water cold. I would like to point out that the above staff did NOT request I done a good review for them. Its so easy to spot fake reviews so this is genuinely earned. I have booked here for my next trip too.

Rooms are too small & can not match information given on some travel & booking sites Roof top swimming pool only open between 9 am to 6 pm which is usually time for going for sightseeing so practically it is useless Hotel ask for purchasing water other than 2 500 ml of water & no plain non bottle drinking water is supplied on request. Front desk Staff is not tourist friendly Breakfast is poor, most of items are repeated either daily or alternate day, vegetarian options are poor & does not have proper genuine preparation Bell boy are good but no luggage room, after check out or before check in, our luggage is lying in hotel entrance lobby Hotel location is only advantage to tourist Bottle water & even tea & coffee , if we order, it is really costly affair

Great value for money, in an expensive city. We were very satisfied with the hotel. The front of house staff were very helpful, and the room itself was very nice and spacious. The location was a little ways away from Metro stations, but we soon discovered buses nearby. Disliked · Nothing

Being a 3 stars hotel could be easily a 4 stars in other countries- very big room and bathroom, tv, strong air conditioned, a relaxing bulk bed (maybe too short) a very nice lobby and good service from lersonnel(they speak english). It is well positioned halfway dubai and sharjah airports and the downtown with the major attractions and beaches. Historical dubai is one foot away. In my opinion I wished more coffee choice on breakfast (35 dirham) and I wasn't able to reduce the air conditioner.

First instincts were not great, but we did arrive at 6 in the morning! It’s a great hotel, very modern, great venue, staff awesome and helpful, and the breakfast solid. It is the old city though, so don’t expect flash modern sky scrapers, but it’s very interesting and totally safe, and fun watching the locals.

Not at all a good place to spend a holiday. The hotel is over crowded and noisy. Room and bed size is small. No balcony in rooms and the view is terrible. Situated far away from airport, city etc. Breakfast buffet is crowded, noisy and messy. Checked out 5 days before the actual check out date as it was that bad.

Very impressed with this hotel. Excellent position in Bur Dubai, a few minutes walk to authentic eateries and the Creek area. Ultra clean rooms with super air con and comfortable beds. All necessities supplied, Ito and board, fruit plate, toiletries, bottles of water and cool fridge. Staff are very kind and friendly. Front doormen so helpful and arrange taxis with a smile. Thank you John and I forget the other man’s name from Pakistan but both nice guys. Reception staff very efficient and smiley. Pool on roof terrace was ideal and quiet, could be better if they had some new higher loungers as those are old and low. Some sun umbrellas are also required but that is the only fault I can comment on. We ate out for all meals so can’t comment on food. Just about to book again for longer trip in a few months. Highly recommended!!

Nice place to stay. Good ambiance. Professional team, Have good breakfast with Indian options. Rooms are bigger than normal with dining table, clean, great bed. Best option for tourists comparing the price Surrounding are congested with traffic but have lots of restaurants and electronics shop. Bathroom sachets are not of top quality, Bathroom size comparatively small.

Service Charges of 10% on accommodation was a shock Booking.com advises to pay at hotel - accommodation plus hotel taxes Service charges are not mentioned Thats when they get you, paying at hotel, if you do not check item by item on the bill and hotel receptionist are very reluctant to share with customer - service charges When asked reception why services charges, their answer was poor saying "you are paying for me" Having stayed at many hotels, never charged service charges in advance. We always pay cash to staff that deliver good service The same owner owns Admiral Hotel on corner We met few friends in Desert Safari who highly recommended Royal Ascot Hotel its location is much better and near the bus stop that takes the bus C13 to Airport Terminal 1 and terminal 2 and back, as MRT is very congested during rush hour Sister hotel named Ascot Hotel is older than Royal Ascot Hotel All above hotels are located 10 mins walking from green line MRT Sharaf & Al Ghubaibha station Hotel is clean, pressured hot shower, staff are helpful only issue is charging service charges that should actually paid by customer to helpful staff, but the hotel management is gouging the extra 10%

Book this hotel at your own risk. They cancel it at the last minute and do not honour their terms and conditions. I just experienced it after booking this a month in advance. They tried to run my guarantee credit card at their own convenience and not as per their terms and conditions. In a quick rush they decided to cancel the booking and asked me to go back to the website to re-book at 3X the rate I had received. Seems like a scam to get customers to pay more and reported to the authorities in Dubai to avoid this happening to other customer.s
