We first visited The Palace in 2012 and so after 10 years and 12-15+ visits to this wonderful hotel it just keeps getting better. Firstly when you enter the lobby the smell just relaxes you, the serenity of this hotel is excellent and the decor is still as fresh today as it was in 2012 The greeting from the reception staff is warm and quickly expedited. The hotel rooms were refurbished before covid and are bright clean and still exude quality. The bed! the bed is huge, the most comfortable by far I’ve slept in (I stay in a lot of 5* hotels the palace is still the best) the linen is super fine quality and so comfortable. Breakfast at the Palace is a great experience, the quality and selection of breakfast options is sublime. Service is simple and unrushed and the outdoor dining is lovely with views of the Burj. The pool area is a place of calm and comfortable sun-loungers, the pool staff are attentive but discreet, water, ice lollies and cold towels are provided. Again just a simple service that exudes quality. I use the gym which is good, not a large gym but all quality equipment (Technogym) and good selection of machines and free weights. Towels, refreshments and fruit are laid out. The men’s spa is again very calming with jacuzzi, steam room, ice scrubs and mist showers to cool down. There is also a Turkish bath and massage but I have never used. Restaurants are also great here, our latest visit we have been to the Thai restaurant Thiptara which has been extended and refurbished since our last visit. It’s still one of the best venues in Dubai where in terms of ambience and quality of food. Though it’s pretty pricey it’s worth is for a nice treat to watch the fountains in style! Also the Argentinian restaurant Asado is lovely, the food is excellent (mixed grill is too much for me these days but it’s excellent) and the wine selection is impressive. Again not cheap but worth a visit if you want something other than Thai! Last but not least location. It’s in the centre of everything, if you want to visit Dubai and are looking for a city stay, this is the Palace to be! It’s location means you have all of the fountain area and Dubai mall eateries to explore and you can quite literally find anything on your doorstep. Still our favourite destination. Long may that continue.…
It’s a really good hotel. The environment of the Pool Lunch is extraordinary. The food is delectable. The staff are unbelievably polite and kind. Specially Mr. Al Amin served us extraordinarily good with his freshly cooked food and services.
Thank you for Rufus for providing us with the best experience and service. Everything was very tasty and clean and the service was very friendly. The view from the restaurant is perfect. We liked everything
Our stay was excellent at - Palace Downtown Hotel Dubai, We had complimentary breakfast served, the staff is extremely pleasant with the courteous service - Staff Rameez, Ritu Rai, Ajay, Ahmad, Bablu, we had a bit long stay and so, we were served by so many humble and gentle staff, they keep checking whether we need something and apart from that since we are a regular guest at the hotel, most of the staff knows are need very well. When they see us checked in they know what we are looking for in beverages. The staff remembers us - like we are there family members. Amazing time spend. Decent price, *****
It was our first visit on our anniversary, its a wonderful place food friendly staffs. Quality of the food and variety was amazing, i would diffintely come back again and recommend the same place to my friends
The purpose of this trip was a great surprise because my husband had prepared me to celebrate my birthday from having a room with a balcony with a view of the fountain ready and enjoying the show that every half hour starting at 6 pm takes place in the artificial lake of Burj Khalifa as well as a cake and flowers decorated on the bed as a welcome and celebration, but what was my and our surprise that from the attention of the duty manager James Santa María in giving us a room far away from everything and with a partial view of the Source and the show reason and reason for our anger because we did not pay for that view we paid much more to enjoy the show and see Burj Khalifa which has always been my favorite when I visit Dubai I take many photos of it. The kindly bell boy Ayman told us to stay in that room to rest while he fixed the problem at reception. It only took about 20 minutes and he took us to see the other room for which we had paid, totally different, very nice and with a beautiful view as we selected when booking on the hotel website page, unfortunately the next day when we bathed the water pressure was minimal and hot water did not come out continuously, when finishing breakfast the front desk staff was informed from 9:30 am from what has occured . That day my husband had reserved a dinner for me at the Asado restaurant, the hostess's treatment was very despotic since he saw us enter and left, returning 10 minutes later to assign us a table. The training of the waiters is very poor and unprofessional, the waiter decided what portion of meat I should eat when the one who decides is me and I pay for that taste and more. Very kindly the manager and the two managers from India who were on duty that night apologized by offering us something additional, we do not accept, we only suggest treating the diner as it should and giving suggestions not impositions from the menu to choose from. In general, the training of all the waiters both at breakfast and in the different restaurants is very deficient. I suggest putting more effort into your staff since it is a magnificent hotel very centrally located within walking distance of Dubai Mall. Arriving that night at the Asado Restaurant to our room and we met maintenance personnel and the bathroom was a mess. It was 10:00 pm and they told us that it would take them 5 hours to fix it. This was a major plumbing problem.!!! We notify of this problem from 9:30 am in front desk . What courage and my room was very nicely fixed. birthday and my cake, my already upset husband asked for solutions. James Santa María gave us an upgrade to a Suite with a spectacular view but it leaves us with a bad taste in our mouths due to so many inefficiencies of the staff. I want to greatly thank Ayman for all his nice attentions in which I had a magnificent birthday celebration as well as the housekeeping staff who decorated my room twice for all these changes and also the kind managers of the Asado Restaurant as well as the manager of the Breakfast all from India, thank you very much. I suggest and which was our observation to remodel the rooms since apart from plumbing failures the light switches are very obsolete. I will return to this hotel, it is very convenient.…
