Detailed Reviews
I went to this hotel for 4days and 3nights with my family.
We waited 5 minutes for airport transfer and ofcourse it was not a long time.
The location of hotel is very good.it is close to Banyas (clock) square.you can go to Deira citycenter in 15 minutes by walking.
Rooms and restrooms were clean and the size of the rooms was big enough.the beds were clean and comfortable.
It has a small pool and jacusy on the roof and a small bar on the last floor.
Breakfast was good and delicious but lunches were nonsense and it hadn`t any variety on their menu.
There was a small disco on second floor and our room was on fifth floor, then the voice of disco doesn`t disturb us.
Receptions are impolite and they didn`t friendly at all.
It had a free transfer to Almamzar beach every day at 8 o`clock.
Also It is definitely only a 3 star not 4 star hotel but we had a enjoyable travel in there.
I won`t recommend this hotel if you are a strict and sensitive person.
I am going to test another hotels in Dubai in my next holidays.
Good Luck.

the hotel rooms are nice & the location is also decent but the front line staff is pathetic & very rude. they are not at all co-operative. it took me almost one hour to check in. was waiting like a fool and asking them again and again for the delay & they rudely said please sit & come only when we call u. no customer service. after this also i am giving average rating as the hotel rooms were nice & is near to metro.

Mayfair is located at good location considering Dubai's wide geography. Moreover, you can take metro, nearby to hotel to most of Dubai's good location. they have good dance bar and restaurant. Room size is OK and buffet breakfast is decent. +point is room cost that too during major events in Dubai where other hotels sellsat double price. Overall decent experience

+1
There was a lack of water on November 08th.
The GM of the hotel were downstairs and had no emotional sense or support while I asked why there's no water in the whole property.
I wanted to cry. Felt so humiliated.
Himself turned his back land walked away.
I am speechless this happens im hospitality. A GM rude and unfair. No patience to talk with a guest.
Below are the evidences that the property lacks a lot of maintenance and care.
Stay away from this property.

MayFair Hotel is situated next to Lamcy Plaza . Do not get confused with Grand MayFair , as Grand is better service . No Metro station in surroundings , though paid car parking is available . Hosekeeping level is really pathetic and poor

My father and I travelled on business to Dubai and were due to stay 3 nights. This hotel is not what you would expect in Dubai. The staff are generally unfriendly, the rooms are clean but all the furnishings are of a low standard. My pillows were like bricks, and the bedding seems very old. It is off a main road, and hence I had to walk 3 or 4 blocks in the morning to catch a taxi. There are 2 or 3 night clubs in the hotel - which gives you an idea of the type of place it is. As my bed was so uncomfortable I did not sleep much, despite flying 18 hours from Auckland. The next morning, despite being ignored by the recepionist for 5 min as we stood directly in front of him, we booked out after only one night . We booked into the JW Marriott which is significantly better. If you fly business or first class this is defintely not the kind of hotel for you. My advice : Avoid.

I thought I've come across bad hotels but this is the worse! Where do I start! The staff are rude and slow! I couldn't agree more with the other comments abouts the night clubs in the hotel, there loud and if your wanting a good night sleep before heading to the airport, do yourself a favour and don't stay here. The music is blasting through your bedroom walls from 10pm to 3am and then you hear the praying chants after! Worst buffet breakfast ever too and the toilet didn't flush properly and the tv didn't even work!!!!! Don't even get me started on how bad the wiring was for the hair dryer and how fereal the bathrooms were. NEVER AGAIN

I had the displeasure of staying at the Mayfair Hotel from 10-15 April of 2007. This supposed 4 Star Hotel wouldn't even rate a 1 from me, and I have stayed in some rough hotels over the years. Some of the high points of my stay:
- The car from the hotel, that was supposed to pick me up at the airport, never showed. I searched for the car for twenty five minutes, and then took a cab to the hotel. When I mentioned this to the rude young man at the desk, he accused me of missing my ride. I later mentioned this to the manager and he offered to compensate me for the cab I took. Compensation was never forthcoming.
- The contents of the mini-bar were never replenished during my entire stay. The inventory sheet for the mini-bar didn't even come close to matching the contents of the refrigerator. On the morning that I was checking out, I received a knock on my door four minutes after the wake-up call. It was a young man coming to inventory the mini bar.
- The hotel supposedly had a Russian disco and a restaurant. These were advertised on their website, in the lobby, the elevator and the room. Neither of these existed, nor had existed in the recent past.
- The bar at the pool was a small, abandoned kiosk, with an empty refrigerator and no attendant. The pool furniture was filthy plastic and heavily stained lounges.
- Toileteries in the room were never replenished during my entire stay.
- The room was made up whenever the staff decided to get around to it. On one day, I returned to my room at 1430 and the room still wasn't made up.
- I brought back a friend for a drink at their roof top bar, and I was told by the desk man that guests were not allowed to have guests in the hotel.
- I sought a cash advance on my credit card for some gifts, and was rudely refused by the desk man and his assistant. When I asked for directions to another establishment that might be able to help me, I was met with a stoney silence.
- The complimentary breakfast was marginal, and I never did get asked if I wanted coffee or tea.
- I leaned back in my chair one night and felt a sharp pain. Tacks from the upholstery had come out and stuck me.
- I decided to visit a friend at another hotel and went outside to get a cab. The two bellmen were completely ignoring me. I was approached by a young man who asked me if I wanted a hotel car to take me to my friend. When I asked the price, he quoted me a figure three times what a cab would have cost. I refused and sought a cab. That is when I noticed the young man waving cabs away from the hotel.
Well, there you have it.Make your choices in Dubai wisely. I didn't and had a terrible trip.

Worst hotel experience ever! Stayed here for overnight to rest as had to catch a flight the next day and was the worst experience ever? The hotel has four night clubs with music blasting which lead me to have a terrible night sleep and even worst the hotel facilities were shocking! The toilet doesnt flush properly and the T.V didnt work. It is very inconsiderate for the hotel to have nightclubs blasting music extremely loud for their guest which is extremely unprofessional! I would never stay here again and do yourself a favor and find somewhere nicer to stay with no night clubs, better customer service as the guy in the front counter was rude and took an extremely long time with my passport and checking in!

Hi There,
I was there last November (Stayed for 20+ nights), there is a city tax (Applicable for all Hotels) and you may need to pay for internet if you are a very heavy user as the Hotel reception should give you a free 10 hours of internet upon check in.
Have a nice stay, it's a nice hotel !
