After a Difficult year we decided to go back to palm tree court, we knew it would be different due to Covid. If you would like to be looked after the staff are all very attentive and very friendly nothing is too much trouble. Lakmal At the pool bar is outstanding Your never left waiting for a drink and the drinks are made with perfection. Lakmal Has the difficult job of serving all the guests that visit the pool and works extremely hard. The man in charge of the towels is helpful and very quick to bring you extra towels if needed. If you want the best dining experience visit white orchid where the restaurant manager milos is always there to greet you with a smile, he takes the time to talk to everyone and makes you feel welcome he is a Huge asset to this hotel his staff are amazing Especially Gillian and Alyzza, the Food and drinks are To die for .would definitely recommend this hotel if you want to relax and unwind .

Booked JA Beach Hotel. On arrival was told we had been moved to Palm Tree Court as they had privately hired beach hotel to a cricket team. First impression of room was poor. Smelt musty and room very dated. We were moved following day to what I was told was an upgraded and refurbished room. The new room was exactly the same (minus musty smell). However was in better location. Several restaurants closed for duration of stay, some again for private hire some due to Covid. Buffet hugely scaled down. In addition main pool of beach hotel also closed to normal guests. In the restaurants that were open however, food was really good. Particularly Sette and White Orchid. Buggy service around resort very good also. All staff friendly and helpful. Mustufah in concierge was great organising the hotel car to take us on several trips. Also note hotel is a good thirty minute drive from Palm Jumeriah. Overall not a bad stay, but Palm Tree court in need of some updates. Broken decking around some pool areas, one of the smaller pools very dirty. General overhaul and update required to make this place as good as it should be.

We departed the Uk as soon as Boris moved UAE to Amber list.We had our negative PCR tests and got excited to return to JA. We arrived very late at night 2.30am.It was extremley hot and humid, but check in was fast and efficient, please do look at putting some soft drinks in room for late arrivals. We woke early as was on the beach by 8 am, The weather was fantaastic at times a little too humid, but it was our choice to travel Aug/Sept. It was lovely to see so many staff still there a few return staff and a few new members. All staff are fantastic impeccable manners and always a smile although masks were worn you could see it in there eyes that they were happy to see us. We spent our days by the beachside pool or in the pool with a cocktail. I even did the water aerobics everyday with John who is an asset to the team. Lunch at Captains,Sports cafe or over at Republik in the Lake view hotel. All venues offer different menus so you dont need to eat the same thing over and over. (please bring back steak sandwich at sports cafe and espatida at anchor when it reopens) In the evening the White Orchid is my favourite, but we ate at Sette and republik where they offer a different evening/lunch menu. A group of new live singers are in place that can be used as a duo or soloist. The volume in White Orchid does need to be turned down at time we couldnt hear each other. When there we had the pleasure of seeing the baby ducklings and baby peacocks. A few staff i would like to say a massive thank you to as you made our trip even more enjoyable Thiri, now concierge she went above and beyond to make sure I was ok during our stay Tran, you are remarkable and cant do enough for everyone. Milos, new white orchid manager, you will be fantastic asset to the team and it was a pleasure meeting you. Sunil, beach assistant you went out of your way to make our chosen loungers everyday even though the beach area wasnt your area. Bishnu. Barman of the year Mahmoud from captains you again made us laugh everytime we visited and even when we didnt. John water aerobic instructor, I have never participated but you made this daily activity fun. We had our return PCR test booked via the hotel aprox £45 each the nurse comes to the room and results are overnight. We are so happy to have returned to JA and cannot wait to return in December. If you are unsure of travel during this time please dont hesitate to ask us any questions and I will try and help using our experience.

Having been to the palm tree court many times over the years but not having returned for a few few years we were excited to be coming back to a place where we had nothing but a fantastic time, although one for never wanting to leave critical reviews I have to say I have been nothing but disappointed with our visit here this time, the staff and food quality are still of a high standard the hotel itself in my opinion is not what it once was I would disagree that this is down to covid I think it is down to cutting to many things away from what you once could get the drinks selection is all over the place some bars you get this and others that, needs to be standard all over the complex the choice of drinks has been cut down considerably much to everyone’s disappointment, the hotel is looking tired, due to having two ipl cricket teams staying pools have been closed meaning this is putting pressure on other facilities, restaurants shut putting pressure on other facilities! The once thing this place needs when staying at the palm tree court is a little exclusivity the beach hotel guests are not paying the same as palm tree court residents but yet are using the same pool bars overcrowding them there also needs to be adult only pool pars many guests at the palm tree court are mature guests but do not want to have to put up with screaming kids all day this is not fun for anyone the place is looking very tired as mentioned the staff have been fantastic. Lakmal at the pool bar was brilliant always smiling even when the bar was overcrowded but never having assistance! As much as we looked forward to coming it saddens me to say I would not rerun again I am pretty sure they are much better in Dubai now I think the JA resort have rested on their laurels to much, i write this whilst staying here to show how much I am disappointed! Clearly the ipl money is worth more than the guests! I hope that at some point the palm tree court regains it’s identity but hasten to say we will not return!
