My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights on our way to the UK, it is set in the older part of town but this hotel takes you back in time, much nicer than the flashy newer hotels. Staff are all very nice, there us a doorman dressed in traditional Arabian outfit who opens door for you. We booked... More

We stayed at this hotel for 9 days. We were with a tour with Riaz. The staff were friendly and served us with a smile. Always helpful. Good view from our room window. Good Breakfast in the morning. Clean and well lit up.

I had previously stayed at this hotel twice and gave excellent reviews which can be seen in my profile. But on this occasion I have to say the standards have dropped massively. I arrived at 11pm with my wife and son and booked for 4 nights before my return home. As I opened the door horrible sewage smell and I... More

We were greeted with the glasses of fresh juices upon our arrival. Friendly reception staff completed our check-in and we were taken to our room with splendid views across the old city of Bur Dubai (the original city of Dubai). Our room is in authentic Arabian style with brilliant decors. Restaurant - delicious breakfast and evening meals provided with friendly... More

Stayed for three nights in Executive Room whilst on a stop-over to Malaysia. We stayed at the same hotel 2 years ago and had a good time so had decided to book again. During our previous visit we thoroughly enjoyed the Executive Lounge facility with the room rate and this was the main reason for us rebooking this time. We... More

Two couples in our 60's, we stayed for 3 nights at this wonderful hotel. It's biggest asset is the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them! Their service is impeccable. The hotel itself is like something from an old movie - gorgeous interior. Clean spacious rooms, large comfortable beds. If you want the glitz and glamour of... More

Have stayed twice here in two months, very comfortable, large, clean rooms with giant size beds. Very friendly helpful staff, a nice bar on the mezzanine floor and very good restaurant also. The museum is directly across the road as is the stop for hop on hop off bus. They offer a free courtesy bus to the airport but only at... More

The Arabian was a lovely hotel in the Indian section of Old Dubai. There were supermarkets nearby and the Hop on/ off bus stopped across the road which was very convenient. The hotel is walking distance to the Old Souk and River Taxi area also. The staff were very helpful and rooms were very large and clean. There was a... More

Staying in The Creek

Neighborhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
