Had the absolute best time with our 4 & 2 yr olds. The pool was perfect, breakfast was amazing and the service was out of this world. Getting around on an abra was so much fun and the daily access to the wild wadi water park was brilliant.

It is not often I feel the need to dedicate specific time to review a resort. After every visit to “Dar Al Masayaf” this is exactly what I have to do as this beautiful haven deserves nothing less! What makes this place so special to my family and I that we call it our home? The answer is the people! The world is full of beautiful resorts but only a few will leave you feeling emotional...Here is one of these places that leaves my family and I emotional because in the time we spend here it is the amazing colleagues that touch our hearts and give us the feeling of being amongst family and friends. My family and I have been a part of this resort for over a decade and it has always been special to us. Since the pandemic this is our third visit and even in these extremely testing times “Dar Al Masayaf” has not failed to remain the beautiful and special destination it always has been. The world has changed and everyone of us has had to adapt to a new “normal”. I can honestly say that “Dar Al Masayaf” will still leave you feeling refreshed and looked after in a way that you will simply smile everyday and embrace the beautiful atmosphere that “Dar Al Masayaf” still delivers even in the most testing of times. How do they do this? I will say it again...The colleagues are at the heart and soul of this place and they are the ones that from the moment we arrive bring a smile to our hearts and we realise we are finally home. As soon as my children and I entered the grand entrance and made our way to the newly decorated, bright and airy “Arboretum” restaurant for breakfast, we were greeted by Joseph and the beautiful smiles of Mary and Lory. Being welcomed by these familiar smiles immediately took away any apprehension and the feeling of being home was immediately felt. The breakfast at Arboretum is just fantastic. The choice of cuisine is another level and the variety on display means every palate will be satisfied. Chef Amrit and Chef Leslie took great care of us and always made sure we were happy and they did this with such love and care. They have the most amazing desire and passion to satisfy the different needs of everyone and this comes across in the way that they create the most magnificent variety at breakfast. Chef Alal whom we met for the first time in September and December last year is a gem. He remembered our favourites and was always at hand to make sure I started the day with my favourite healthy options. Chef Irshad whom we have known from the very beginning was as always busy creating his egg creations and it was lovely to see him back. We had the pleasure of also having dinner at “Arboretum”. It was a lovely experience. At dinner Chef Mazen, Chef Ziad and the team were just great and went out of their way to give us beautiful options at dinner. Claudio, Lucky, Joseph, Ryan, Rohit, Cham, Julius, Mukesh, Waleed and Sandeep were always around making sure everything was running smoothly and were frequently checking on every table to make sure everyone was happy. Chef Eric Turgeon and his team reflect warmth, unity, motivation and passion. The entire team will set you up for the most beautiful day ahead and this is truly amazing! Chef Eric Turgeon, Chef Amrit, Chef Leslie, Chef Alal, Irshad, Claudio, Lory, Mary, Lucky, Michelle, Cham, Joseph, Ryan, Rohit, Julius, Mukesh, Waleed, Sandeep, Tajim, Yousaf and so many more, are just so special to us. Together as a team the atmosphere and happiness you create is remarkable. You all bring so much happiness to so many first thing day in day out. If you took a bird’s eye view of “Arboretum” all you would see is smiles, laughter and enjoyment. After breakfast we would normally head to the “Al Qasr” or “Al Naseem pool”. Here again the organisation, cleanliness and service is just special. The team will always be looking to see if they can do anything to make your stay even more pleasant. Small touches like always making sure you have water and periodically asking if there is anything they can do for you. We were always totally relaxed and at peace. The entire team is just superb. Special mention to Mukesh, Sanu, Henry, Zer, Mohammed and Lloyd Zuniega for always welcoming us with a smile. Mr. Sergey must be given absolute credit for the way the entire team are all so happy, united and passionate about their roles. From the lifeguards along the beach and at the pool, the pool team, the pool restaurant and bar team, the water sports team... They are all committed to delivering an exceptional experience for everyone that visits. I was travelling with my three children and my two younger children aged nine and five loved the “Sinbad Kids Club”. Jenny and Marina were just fantastic. Always smiling and happy to help. They created a beautiful place for the children to be out of the sun and still have so much fun yet come out refreshed. Our villa butler was Ashis and he was just phenomenal. Ashis was always there ready to help. We would see Ashis first thing in the morning as we left the villa for breakfast and then at various points throughout the day and he would always be smiling and ready to help with anything we needed. Ashis was also one of the most efficient I have ever met. From checking in to checking out, restaurant reservations and any queries during the stay he would always have everything sorted out in the most efficient way so that guests would not experience any inconvenience. At “happy hour” or “happy time” as my daughter renamed it, we would always be looking forward to sitting in the villa “Majlis” and spending time with Ashis. It makes it such a pleasure to have someone like Ashis around everyday...It just makes the whole stay that extra special. The rooms at “Dar Al Masayaf” are lovely. Spacious, cosy and beautiful traditional decor. They are kept this way during your entire stay by the superbly efficient Housekeeping team. Special mention to Prashant C.K. and Lawrence who not only kept our environment amazingly clean and tidy but were always were at hand to make sure everything was just perfect. Last but not least a few words for Marycris. Where do I start with this special lady? Marycris made sure that everything in relation to our stay ran like clockwork. From arriving at Dar Al Masayaf to when we unfortunately had to say goodbye...Marycris just had us at peace. She visited the villa frequently and brought such smiles and laughter to myself and my children. She is just a wonderful lady full of positivity and made our stay such a happy and fun time. I said at the beginning of the review that it was the people that made this place so special that we call it our home. I hope I have conveyed a picture as to why this is the case and the reason why “Dar Al Masayaf” and the “Madinat Jumeirah” is so special to us and why it is most definitely our home. Together all the teams of colleagues that make this beautiful resort so special have delivered outstandingly what I like to refer to as the “Jumeirah Experience”!

This is our 15th visit to Dar al Masyaf...and I can say we were not disappointed. It is our first visit back since covid. The hotel is so covid safe. For breakfast is now an option to eat al a carte and the buffet in AL Qusar is served by the chefs so no contamination from people touching utensils. There are hand sanitizers located everywhere cleanliness was definitely to its high usual standards. I would like to say a big thank you to our buttler in villa 17 Sashi. He was absolutely amazing. He was so attentive to all our needs, nothing was ever to much trouble for him and he would always have a warm and welcoming smile on his face. Sashi is truly an asset to Dar al Masyaf and I hope we will meet him again on our next visit (which we are already planing for March this year!). Also Thank you to Mary Chris the manager for making our stay wonderful as always. Mary is so friendly and always takes time out to talk to us when we visit. Thank you once again to Sashi and Mary Chris for making our holiday wonderful and plesrnt. See you both in March!

We spent a fabulous 11 nights at Dar Al Masyaf over Christmas. We have visited several times over the years but this was our first trip since the pandemic. It was wonderful as ever. Service and quality were if anything even better than before. We were very fortunate when making arrangements for our stay to have the help of wonderful Lika in Guest Services. Lika was super responsive and an absolute delight to deal with, helping us with everything to do with our reservation and answering all our questions about new arrangements since the pandemic. We were so pleased to meet you Lika! We arranged our transfer through the hotel and on arrival (after a packed full and tiring overnight flight) we loved the new Jumeirah reception area, with refreshments and driver ready to meet us. Once we arrived our checkin experience was very busy at Al Qasr and we were very tired after travelling overnight so one of my few wishes is that this could have been a bit faster. But happily one of our rooms was ready for us even though it was early in the day which was much appreciated. We were so happy in our villa 15 with our wonderful butler Ahmed. Our villa butlers have always been kind and helpful but Ahmed went the extra mile with absolutely everything during our stay, making it just like a second home and efficiently advising and arranging everything. Thank you, Ahmed, what a pleasure to meet you! Housekeeping in our villa was excellent as always which is not easy for a busy family of 6. We were impressed with the updates made to Arboretum since our last stay and as well as being a much nicer environment to dine (inside and out) the options were greatly improved at breakfast and dinner. The restaurant was never too busy and had so many chefs on hand to serve food. The front of house staff take care to politely remind guests who are not complying with mask rules in the buffet which made us feel very safe. We also really loved the a la carte breakfast at French Riviera (where we always took buffet breakfast in the past), such excellent service in our favourite spot poolside from Rajaul, Victor and their colleagues every morning. We had pre booked our meals before arriving but when we came to make a few changes the butler WhatsApp service was a great help. Tortuga seemed to be back to its best form, and we really enjoyed Al Nafoora and Zheng He which we had not visited before. The new arrangements at the wonderful kids’ club were excellent and our two young children couldn’t wait to go as often as possible! They both had lovely gifts on Christmas Day very thoughtfully chosen by the wonderful kids’ club staff who worked tirelessly to make every afternoon great fun - thank you Jenny and Maryna! When it was time to leave Saleem was a great help with the luggage. Another smooth transfer from the hotel and we were back to DXB. We just can’t wait to return later this year.

I stayed at the Madinat Jumeirah - Dar al Masyaf- during the Christmas and New Year period - for the Globe Soccer Awards and I had a dream vacation with all my family. I think I have never experienced such attentive, kind, professional personal service as in Dubai. Something indescribable. The resort is wonderful, an earthly paradise. You will be surrounded by palm trees, flowers and beauties of all kinds. The attentive staff is always available to provide you with support. In particular, I wanted to thank BUTLER AHMED, who worked at the Ville . A kind person, always smiling, ready to help you, a professionalism and efficiency never seen before. In my name and my whole family, we thank you AHMED for your availability and attention towards us. We will look forward to returning to visit you! Thank you!
