I was at this hotel from June 15 until the night of June 23rd. I cannot give 5 stars because one of the front desk workers is very rude. The night I arrived at about 11:00 PM one of the front desk workers immediately helped me with my bags. The other one asked me for my passport and he wanted to hold it until the next day because I did not have the invoice printed from Expedia, but they had my name there. In the afternoon of the same day I left I went to the front desk and I paid for the items I took from the minibar, but at the time I was leaving at night the same front desk worker wanted to charge me for an orange juice I did not take from the minibar.
The rest of the staff was very nice. The room boy for 419 was very nice and helpful, the Philippine worker from the cafe did an amazing job and I really enjoyed the fresh juices from the cafe and the Arabic lentil soup is delicious. Breakfast is served from 6 to 11 am, which is very convenient and the staff from the breakfast restaurant offered an excellent service. The hotel only accepts cash for the room service. I think they should accept other payments for room service because sometimes tourists come from other countries with no dirhams.
Definitely I will comeback to this hotel. It is located very closed to one of the metro stations in the old part of Dubai.

We had a family vacation at the end of April 2024. This was our first time at this hotel and we really liked everything. We chose the hotel based on reviews and price, and indeed all our expectations were met. The hotel is small, cozy, very clean and quiet, beautifully decorated, great location. We booked a room overlooking the strait with breakfast + dinner. The room had a really cool view, it was clean, you couldn’t hear your neighbors, the air conditioning was quite old, but it worked properly. The breakfasts are delicious, varied, dinners are set menu, you can change them for lunch, the portions are simply huge, everything is very tasty! The room was cleaned daily, towels and bed linen were changed, tea-coffee, sugar, and drinking water were replenished. The hotel shuttle took us to and from the beach, but you can also get there by bus #28, stop next to the hotel. The hotel has a convenient location - close to a metro station, buses, ferries. We vacationed with my husband and grandson from April 15 to April 28, 2024. I liked the hotel. We checked in early as soon as the room was ready. We stayed in the Executive room, it is divided into two areas: an entrance hall with a sofa, TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, table, tea area and a living room with a huge bed, TV, armchair, wardrobe, safe, table, air conditioning; there is a balcony with a small drying rack. Upon request, they brought an ironing board and iron. The hotel has Russian-speaking staff, they will explain everything and help with everything. All the staff are very friendly. The rooms are cleaned very clean every day, linen and towels are changed daily, you don’t need to ask, they do everything themselves. Breakfast (buffet) is varied, tasty, there is always meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, salads, nuts, dates, juices, etc. Lunches (choice from the menu) are very decent. There is a transfer to Al Mamsar beach, 8.00, 9.00, back at 12.00 and 13.00, towels are provided to the beach, and you are greeted with juice and coffee from the beach. We have been vacationing in the UAE since 2011, most often we choose the Deira area, since it is convenient to get to Al Mamsar beach from here (we really like it, several beach areas, free toilets, showers, tables with canopies, few vacationers, inexpensive entrance - 5 dirhams). We, two friends of 60+, have vacationed in Dubai many times, love the Deira area very much, and have vacationed in many hotels in this area, so we can compare. This year from 09/26-10/06/2023 we stayed at the Rivera 4☆ hotel. We chose this hotel on the recommendation of friends and did not regret it. From the first steps I was struck by the kind, respectful attitude towards vacationers. We were given a room with a view of the bay at no additional cost - number 101. The hotel has perfect cleanliness, order, discipline, no matter what question you ask at the reception, you immediately receive a comprehensive answer and help. We would like to express our gratitude to the entire hotel staff - the sweet girl Lexi helped many times in any situation, the amazingly friendly two brothers Mohammed and Omar - they always communicate with a smile and lift your spirits with their positivity. I would also like to mention the manager (unfortunately, we didn’t remember his name), but the whole team and the friendly atmosphere in the hotel are his great merit. Professionalism, punctuality - everywhere and in all the little things: the transfer to the beach left exactly on schedule, and the professionalism of the driver gave us a feeling of comfort and safety. I can’t help but ignore the food at the hotel - the choice, it should be noted, is not large, but everything is fresh and tasty, and looks very aesthetically pleasing. Back for 2nd times in 2 weeks. Have been staying here every year since my first visit back in 2014. Great service, good food, clean room and good location for shopping. Every staff member welcomes us with excellent service and a genuine smile, and they remember us. The housekeeper did a great job in surprising us with a different type of bed linen folding everyday and made us a thank you gift prior to departure. Excellence creek view from our room. I like their pillows. Food was excellent, we prefer to dine in the hotel than eating out. Thank you Mr Wael-Sales Manager, Mohamad, Nazeer, Wayl from Front Office, Hardy from Housekeeping and Mohammed from F&B. Will definitely come back again and recommend your hotel.

Hotel Riviera is very cozy, with an oriental flavor, everything is clean, the staff is friendly, the rooms are cleaned carefully. Normally, when I'm abroad, I try to go and stay in places where there are as few Japanese people as possible, but this time, since it was my first trip, I chose this hotel because I knew the reputation of the Japanese manager.
It turned out to be a great choice. Ms. Takasugi Yuko came all the way to the dining room to greet us at breakfast on the third day. We had a great conversation and even went to her office after the meal to chat, and we continued to talk the next day. We made our own tour reservations, but she provided us with a lot of information about various places and the area around the hotel. The breakfast was very satisfying, with a buffet of local dishes and Western-style food, and I wasn't hungry until the evening.
The hotel itself is old, and the rooms on the other side of the canal have a view of the buildings and parking lots, but I think the small service that can be seen everywhere is largely due to Mr. Takasugi's contribution. It is a 5-minute walk from the Baniyas Square metro station, but it is not marked on the station map and is at the back of the building district, so it was difficult to arrive because the sign was not visible.
