Let me be clear, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel where I found the staff to be very helpful, polite And efficient.
As a smoker, I prefer a nonsmoking room with a balcony so I am not Adding to the negative impact of smoking by sleeping in a Smoky room. Consequently, I search for hotels which provide rooms with a balcony. It is disappointing that this hotel advertises its room with a balcony, when only one floor has balcony rooms and these are currently closed. After my initial complaint did not bring an improvement, I used the customer feedback which went directly to the hotel management. Understanding my issues, the manager moved me to a suite which provided me with a separate lounge and bedroom. I think this was the best available solution and I was able to enjoy a comfortable stay.
The room was clean and the shower is a delight!
I only ate at the hotel on 2-3 occasions which was generally a disappointing experience. I would not recommend the hotel food and suggest visitors look for alternatives, there are lots of better and more cost effective option nearby.

Their bell boys were very cooperative. Hotel staff wasn't much cooperative as I had booked it through a third party site. They lack communication and their breakfast via the agent costed me 35 dhs and directly it was 58 dhs.

Rooms were not much clean and the ac control switch was literally falling. Made a few complaints, no safety measures.

Their city view is so blocked that you hardly enjoy the view. Rooms are very small and compact.

Washrooms handles were falling apart.

Metro is 250 m baniyas station. Which is the only benefit. Rest it's a one time visit to this hotel. My recommendation is to search before going to this hotel.

10 mins walk from both metro lines and water taxi crossing, so excellent location.
The staff are great and my room was on the back, which at first I was disappointed as I wanted to see the creek, but the room was lovely and quiet. No noise from rest of hotel. I was on 7th floor. I appreciate other reviews about the rooms need updating. Mine smelled of smoke and was fusty but after opening the window for a few hours the smell disappeared for good.
The shower/bath water never got really hot so the bath would be cold by the time it was full.
The bed was really comfy and I had 2 tvs.. Just a shame channel choice was limited, which again for 4star is unusual.
Breakfast was good. The pool was nice. I didn't use the restaurants.
Overall I would recommend this hotel.

So we had guests who had booked this hotel via Agoda and had all the confirmations from them. When they arrived, the hotel refused saying that there was no booking made. Our guests contacted agoda and they were sent the confirmations once again but the hotel completely refused to give the room saying they couldn’t locate any booking. The guest had already paid 750 for the room to Agoda which included breakfast. After much argument the hotel finally agreed to give a room as a new booking but they charged them 950 instead and later when our guests went for breakfast they were were shocked to hear that they didn’t even have breakfast included in that price !! A case of taking advantage of teh situation from the hotel. As an advice always make sure to reconfirm from hotels when you make bookings from online sites …

Great location, a 5 minute walk to metro, hop-on-hop-off bus stop over the road, close to airport and seaport. Good value accommodation. In its day this hotel would have been one of the best. Request a room overlooking the creek.

Well..... I've never stayed in a hotel as bad and out dated as this hotel anywhere in the world. This is also not what I expected from Dubai.
I was there for work so I was not expecting the Ritz and it was close to the WTC. When we arrived even though we had booked 2 rooms with double beds they tried to get us to take 1 single room and move the next day which I was not prepared to do. Finally after 30 minutes of negotiating I manged to get 2 rooms with double beds as I had booked and I was being charged for.
In my room it was really old, leak in from the sink, flies in the room, smelt awful, the toilet roll holder kept falling off and the bath plug kept breaking. Dirty bath tub with other peoples hairs which I had to clean.
The Concierge were never able to get a taxi or really do anything other than watch videos on their phones. Thank god for Uber.
To say I will never stay at this hotel again is an understatement.

The worst place to go!!

To whom it may concern.
Dear all, please note this is the worst place to visit. I came just now to meet my friend and from the beginning I didn’t like the way of concierge talk to me when I wanted to submit my car to valet parking. He watched over me and my car with appraising glance and told me that hotel doesn’t have parking and I need to search for RTA parking outside. That’s still ok I did so even though that’s not the way of treating your guests. You don’t have parking only because my car is not luxury?? What a shame. That’s still ok I parked outside and came by walk. When I entered lobby and started moving towards elevator one of the staff sitting in front desk raised his voice by asking my Emirates ID without even greeting me and asking where am I going. I said since when you guys started asking for EID when someone wants to go bar to meet his friend?? Then he asked me: “what’s your f*ucking problem?” Whattttt?? Am I in Dubai? At 4* hotel?? This place doesn’t deserve to called even 1 star! Tottaly shocked! Unacceptable attitude towards guests! I just told him to shut his mouth down and went to the elevator as I didn’t want to spoil my mood by being excited to meet my old friend since long time. And the worst thing he started follow me by next elevator came to my table and told me: “listen I can throw you from this place now!” I immediately took my phone and started recording this person's indecent behavior. And just imagine what he started doing?? He was grabbing my phone from my hand to avoid this video! Omg! Can’t even imagine that could happen from the person which works in HOSPITALITY!! And you know what he responded me when I told him you can’t touch my phone without my permission as it is my property? He said: “I’ll show you who I am” and went out. Then one supervisor was coming to me asking what was happening, then security also was asking me to delete the video of that person from reception I recorded. I said clearly that I could delete it once he comes to my table and accept his mistake and bring apologies. But no one came. They kept watching us and doing some cheat chat between each other’s. They all kept us annoying and disturbing us enjoying our evening!
I totally understand he might mistake me with some other women which used to come here with other purposes but still it doesn’t give him right to misbehave to a CLIENT! Whoever is in front of him. Shame on them!! And just imagine security was trying to say that it was their hotel manager talking to me! What? If the manager is using this kind of language to treat their gust then what can you expect from the staff?? Avoid visiting this place by any chance!

Dear Management! Kind request to take a serious action against of this Front Office Staff, his name is Fares and please train your staff, they don’t have even basic knowledge in hospitality! Else you will lose your business!

Kind regards
Firuza Ergeshova

Dear Firuza, Thank you choosing Carlton Tower for your recent stay. We are sorry to hear that your experience was not up to expectations and we would like to apologize for the inconvenience faced by you during your stay. We sincerely hope to welcome you to the Carlton tower as our guest in the future. Kind regards, Vidya Adams

Initially there was a problem with the room that we had booked, but we took the appointed room until we returned that evening after a daytrip to Abu Dhabi, on ourcreturn I asked reception about our room, to which they replied, you now have a room with the booking request that we submitted, so I give them 5 stars for that, the housekeeping was very good, and the buffet breakfast was exceptional, and we can also recommend roomservice meals. All the reception staff very very helpful indeed. It was our second stay there, and we will definitely be back staying there again.

My stay at Carlton Tower was unforgettable.

We traveled as a group and arrived hours before check in but were given rooms because of the kids with us.

The staff were friendly and courteous. The rooms were neat and housekeeping came around everyday to tidy the rooms.

The breakfast buffet was really good and my friends and I always ate to our fill.

On Christmas day, they sang Christmas carols and Santa went round, giving gifts to kids. Bethel and Isreal were super pumped to get something from Santa.

The location of the hotel is also really good!!!

It's so good that we walked to the market almost everyday and finished all the funds we came with. 😂

The reviews I saw online before I traveled frightened me, however, my experience was a pleasant surprise as it was world apart from the negative reviews I saw.

The Carlton Tower Hotel is somewhere I'll definitely love to stay again whenever I'm in Dubai. .
