Overall positive experience, large rooms and friendly staff.
Old and somewhat dated hotel.
Good cleanliness, dinner with international buffet dishes.
Overall for a good night.

I think need to change washroom towel, one was old and one was average.
I dont like the mattress, because i feel not comfortable it was very hard.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the unprofessional behavior exhibited by one of your front office staff members, Atul, at the Grand Fortune Hotel in Dubai Al Qusais.
Upon my arrival, I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude from Atul. His demeanor suggested a lack of interest in attending to guests, which was immediately concerning. Initially, he offered me a rate of 225 AED for a walk-in stay. However, upon noticing my 15-day-old baby, he abruptly changed the rate to 355 AED. When I questioned the significant rate increase, he responded aggressively, stating that I could book through an OTA platform if I preferred their rates, which is highly unprofessional and not in line with industry standards.
As someone with over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, I was taken aback by Atul’s behavior. It is unheard of for hotel staff to redirect walk-in guests to OTA platforms rather than providing competitive rates and ensuring a pleasant guest experience.
Such conduct from a front office staff member can severely damage the reputation and credibility of the Grand Fortune Hotel. I strongly recommend conducting a proper mystery guest audit to fully understand the extent of the issue.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope to see improvements in your staff’s professionalism and guest relations.
Sincerely,
Nithin Viswanathan

1 - BEDBUGS! and a lot of them. I woke up on my last day to find so many bites, and I am terrified now that I have moved it home.
2 - Several clubs in the hotel that play until 4 am on weekdays, every single day. The music is so loud that you will feel your room vibrating. If it is not enough that you wont be able to sleep until after 4 am, then you will also be excited to learn that the staff will be chatting away in the hallways at around 8/9 am with a very squeaky cart.
3 - the rooms smell like they sprayed something weird in them.
