Landed late in dbx, taxi took about 15mins to hotel. Checkin was smooth, straight to room that had a seperate bedroom with double bed and two singles in main room and had two bathrooms.
Breakfast was fine, plenty of food and drink, bit busy but no probs. Hotel as two pools, one of them on the rooftop and and both heated.
There is a mall about 1km easy walk away, plenty of eating options and shops.
Took taxi to burj khalifa from outside hotel (plenty of taxis there) took about 15mins.
Overall not the most luxurious hotel in dubai, but totally fine for stay.

Me and my friends enjoyed our staycation at Golden Sand 3. The venue is very strict on following health protocols. Before entering, there is a machine that will disinfect you from head to toe. The service was really amazing. The staff were very helpful and approachable namely Catty, Prakash and Abdullah 😊 highly commendable!

I stayed at Golden Sands 3 with my mum and brother in early November for 6 nights. When we arrived, we were told we had to pay 100 dirhams each as a deposit, this was ok however they said they wouldn't return the money until checkout, which means we now have 300 dirhams each which we couldn't spend as we were leaving. I would recommend the hotel either accepts foreign money or they offer to return the deposit slightly earlier than checkout.

The room itself was ok, the bathrooms are slightly cramped and the toilet, bidet and sink are in a tightly packed area which was just bearable.

The service was very slow, I called reception many times and it took a few calls for someone to answer.

The location is ideal and a good in between for Sharaf DG metro stop and Burjuman metro stop. There are plenty of places to eat around the apartment within walking distance and it is safe to walk around late at night.

The hotel does offer a beach shuttle to La Mer Beach but you can either go from 10am to 3pm or 11am till 4pm. We asked to be booked at 11am and waited in reception from 10.50am for the shuttle to arrive. When it turned 11am, I asked the receptionist where the shuttle was and she said that we should be waiting in the front of GS 5. This was not mentioned to us at booking stage or when we waited in reception.

We rushed over to number 5 and were told we were too late and the shuttle has gone. After telling them what happened, they kindly called the driver back and he took us to the beach.

The rest of the stay was ok, we mainly just slept at the hotel and didn't use any of the facilities offered.

The gentleman who checked us out was very helpful and called us a taxi to the airport, which was really nice.

I stayed at Golden Sands 5 from 11 to 27 August 2021 and it was very bad. my room 514 was very dirty, the cleaner does not use cleaning detergent to clean the bath and toilet, rather he sprays glass cleaner on every surface and wipes with a towel and he is done. the cleaner said he has to clean 22 rooms a day.

Objective there is quantity of rooms to clean and not quality or how clean the room gets. The fridge in the room was very dirty, I have a video of it, unfortunately I can't upload it.

Also for my long stay I was forced to deposit 500AED which I was assured it will be refunded if after my stay nothing gets broken in the furnished apartment. Time to check out, and the receptionists were more interested in getting me a taxi than talking about refunding my deposit.

I was told a maintenance staff will check my room after his report then my money will be refunded. I had to insist the checks be done in my presence, after a long agreement they agreed. I thought the will check if the pates, glasses, etc were all in there but no, to my surprise, the guy checked if the fridge, TV, microwave, washing machine and stove was working, I asked why, if any of them didn't work at the time of my check out I had to pay for it with the deposit of 500AED.

Why should a guest at a hotel be responsible for such things? they did everything possible to keep the deposit and I also did everything possible to get my money back. in the end I got my money back. I won't recommend such treatment from a hotel to anybody. I paid for my booking online and I was told its nonrefundable. for such a long stay, it was pure torture. They almost ruined my vacation but the tourist activities were so great they didn't succeed in doing that. everything about this hotel is a no no to me, even the food at the restaurant ...

***The manager ( a lady) and the housekeeping supervisor are aware of my complaints as they were both in my room when I showed them the dirty fridge.

The situation of the hotel , far from metro station; bad equipments, nothing was alright. The flush in the bathroom wasn’t working as well as the shower with no water pressure ; the Washing machine was out of order and not running at all but they ensure you that it was ok. The microwave oven was out of order too and did not work at all.
After my first night in these bad conditions with three kids, and my complaints at the reception we changer my room but the problem was almost the same , wash machine wasn’t working as well as microwave oven; i should call maintenance two times and finally they reimplaced wash machine and microwave oven.
When my three kids came for the breakfast , as they were kids they send them back to the room because they couldn’t make it as breakfast room always full but they do not send back adults to their rooms.
Moreover, booking.com were not fare as i’ve booked 1 studio for 2 adults and 2 kids (I took my son of 15 as an adult event if kids are understood until age of 17 ) and they count breakfast only for three persons.
I was really desabused and disappointed.
I decided to cut my journey from this hotel and go back earlier as I would and if it was not the PCR test appointment, I would get earlier than the choosen day.
Even if they gave me a privilege card member, I am really disappointed about my journey at golden sands and honestly, I cannot invite people to go to this hotel , above all with kids.
Equipments are all and not repaired. Missing consideration on these clients .
If it was not Cathy at the reception or Naeem, the housekeeper , I should not put any stars for this journey but I will put one only for them.

My wife and kid stayed in this hotel, the location is very good. very accessible from Dubai airport. Lots of shops, supermarkets nearby. Clean rooms, bathroom, daily cleaning But the hotel is very average and just okay for the stay not much to be expected.

There is no separate play area for kids.

Good points - room size was good. Well ventilated room on higher floor. Room service staff was very polite. Daily cleaning of room. Towel/bedsheet daily changed.

Bad - Service requests were very delayed, reception did not bother much about requests. Was also rude to small kid.
fridge was not working despite multiple complaints was never fixed.
they don't allow delivery guys to deliver to room, even for pre-paid deliveries like food, grocery items, water etc

I have loved my stay in GS3 especially the service and staff. Cleanliness is amazing and best part is that the staff will keep on reaching out to yourself proactively in case of any concern or needs. Especially Miss Rein who will ensure that all your needs and concerns are dealt professionally and with in no time. This staff knows what to do to treat their guests the best way possible considering their available resources. One of my best stays!

We booked for a room good for 4 adults and 1 infant for May 6-7, 2021.
We would have wanted to use the voucher that we have but because all hotels are already having promo, we are not able to use the voucher.
Unfortunately, we needed to cancel the booking because we were required to quarantine at home due to Covid. We informed Rehlat immediately so that they can make an action, they told us to check with the hotel directly. When we called the hotel, they told us to communicate with Rehlat only and they will be the one to arrange things for us. Here and there, we just followed their instruction just so that we will be able to refund the booking. After so many emails, Rehlat said the hotel did not agree for the refund hence they will be charging us the full amount. We requested to at least re-book if refund is not possible, as disappointing as it is, even the re-booking is rejected by the hotel. This is our first time booking from Rehlat and Golden Sands, and this will also be the last time. They do not have any option of helping their clients. I do not recommend this platform and the hotel either.

Stayed at the Golden Sands Apartment Hotel in Dubai. This is located at Bur Dubai. Bur Dubai is a known expat locality especially Indians. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Prices are slightly above average. You can get a good deal if you book in advance. I paid close to INR 25000 for a week's stay. There are 14 Golden Sands properties in an area covering about 5 blocks. All of them are hotel apartments. Each room comes with a fully equipped kitchen - Induction stove, microwave, refridgerator and electric kettle. The room also has a washing machine and enough closet space for 2 people. The washrooms are clean. The room is cleaned thoroughly daily by the housekeeping staff. The room has a large queen sized bed with a pull out bed and and extra sofa with a centre table. It also has a dining table cum workstation. The room comes with a TV with a lot of Hindi / Arabic channels, a massive mirror and a centralised AC. Food options are limited and pretty steep. (AED 50 for a breakfast for one, AED 120 for lunch / dinner). Having said that, the hotel allows food from outside. I used the Talabat app to order food and got pretty good deals. (Dinner for 2 costed AED 30!)

The best part is that the lifts operate only if you have a key card. The hotel also has a business centre (2 desktops in an isolated room). It also has a fully functional gym accessible 24/7. There is a swimming pool as well (Shared between Golden Sands 3 and 5). The properties are suited for business travellers, couples, solo travellers and families as well. The Karama Market and Burjuman mall are close by. This property is about 15 mins away from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and about an hour from DWC. Attractions close by are The Dubai Museum, Karama Market, Meena Bazaar, Burjuman mall, Dubai Frame (10 mins) and the Dubai Dolphinarium (20 mins by cab).

We stayed for 15 nights in Golden Sands 3 Apartments in a studio apartment room. Rooms are spacious, clean and nicely maintained. Room linen is decent and clean. Amenities in the room TV, Refrigerator, Washing Machine, MW Oven, Kettle and hot plates are good and nicely maintained. Air conditioning is effective. Bathroom space is also comfortable and fittings are good. There is ,however a scope for improvement in the quality of towels and toiletries provided. There is no body lotion/moisturiser provided in the bathroom. Coffee/Tea making facility is good with regular supplies of Tea/coffee/ sugar and milk as required. The housekeeping services are prompt, polite and supportive for the guests. They make you feel at home throughout your stay. I would like to put on record our strong appreciation for the housekeeping staff particularly for Supervisor Prerana,and the supportstaff including Rahul, RamKumar, Sanjay. Kayyum and Maya.
Breakfast in the hotel restaurant is awesome with a large buffet selection. Staff in the restaurant is very cooperative and friendly. I would like to specially mention the name of Mr.Sanoop, who is always ready to help the guests with their seating, their food choices with a smile. He manages very well even when there is a sudden influx of guests for the breakfast.
The front office staff is also courteous and efficient. I was quite impressed by the friendly tips provided by them for recommending good places for food, shopping and helping us in hiring taxis etc. Mr.Gulab, Mr.Dharemeder, Evan and Eden were very helpful.
It was because of all these factors, our stay of 15 days just passed away like a breeze. We will certainly make a return trip to this place whenever, we visit Dubai again.
