Overall a decent place to stay. Asked for adjoining rooms and Reception staff made it happen. Response of staff and maintenance was very quick and staff were friendly. Some upgrades needed to cater for international visitors. Rooftop swimming pool closed at 6pm, Advertised was 10pm (No swimming in the evenings). Sauna was out of order as advised by staff. Overall Presentation and cleanliness was really good. Hats off to the hard working housekeeping staff. Some minor touch ups needed in rooms such as lighting and maintenance upkeeps. Need TV channels that show a little more than just Arabic without subtitles.
A terrible hotel, the biggest mistake I made. I emailed the hotel for airport pick up and early check in. No response. Waited at the airport, finally hired a car, but no parking space in the hotel. The lobby is stingy, as well as the room and corridor. The receptionist was rude and she doesn't care what I say. I asked to meet the GM, she said he is away for one week and she is the GM. Not enough staff, everywhere dusty. Many lights are not working. Towel was dirty and substandard. The break-fast was terrible and cheapy stuffs. It is definitely not a 5 star hotel. I am going to complain to Tourism Dubai.
A decent hotel overall, not a 5 star as per standards but still a good hotel with clean and nice rooms. Location is good with markets and a lot of restaurants near-by. They provide luggage storage as well and staff is really helpful.
Reception staff is pathetic. Housekeeping on the other side is amazing. Hotel is at a decent location. Kind of old but clean rooms. Doesn’t give a plus feel.no conditioner, dental kit on request but not in room. I don’t know how a 5-star as they have so many missing amenities. No tea in the room or an electric kettle.
I am disappointed with the reception staff's behaviour. I booked one room for two nights through a booking site (prepaid), and after booking, I called the reservation, and the staff confirmed my booking and receipt of the payment. Upon my arrival at 06 pm, the reception male staff told me that my booking had been cancelled. I showed the booking details and was even informed regarding the call and confirmation. However, this guy asked me to wait in the lobby, and he went somewhere. After 30mts I went to the reception and asked the staff at the concierge regarding the booking, and he told me the reception staff was going to the restroom. This guy took 45mts to confirm my room and behaved like I was getting a free-of-charge room. Incredibly pathetic behaviour from the male staff who checked me in. The room is fine; there was a stale smell of fungus, I felt, but it was okay. The room has a mini-fridge, coffee tea maker, a safe and a bathroom with toiletries and tub. Water pressure was good in the shower. Overall the stay was ok, however, the reception staff behaviour made things bad for me.…
Staffs are friendly Room is of good size and toilet There is blow dryer Room is very clean Although you need to manually turn off the lights before going to bed, it is within reach. There is bathtub separate from shower
If you want to pay double and get very poor quality go to Carloton. They tried to make me pay twice I paid on Booking.com a week ago and they forced me to pay once more, a I had to talk to a consultant on the phone to confirm my payment in front of them otherwise I would have paid twice. The worst breakfast in my life at 5 stars all juices, cheap breakfast products and very poor quality and unpleasant to taste.
I was staying Carlton for 4 nights I must say this was pretty bad experience for me I stayed Deira cos I had to buy some equipments from arnd During checkout we had pretty. If boxes But they didn’t even bring them down from our room The fat lady at reception is damn rude I had dinner at there rooftop bar Salmon was very well done when I asked I want medium cook veg was half frozen Also atleast 3 times a day we get call from Spa “ do u need good massage” Pls note this is not family friendly hotel
I want to thank the staff for being supportive to us and they are all good. The place was very nice and the sound system also is good. And the most important is the food. All the food are so delicious and more than enough for us. The event coordinator also is so kind. Keep up the good works and looking forward in the future event.
WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED, my problem started during the booking process, i booked the hotel through AGODA with booking confirmation and everything however, i noticed, i booked the wrong date, so i immediately called this hotel to ask for amendments but this RUDE and USELESS customer service representative named MAHWAISH, told me that their hotel is not dealing with ADOGA and she DROPPED my call WHILE i am still speaking. At first i understand that it is a holiday season and I tried to understand that she is really busy so I tried calling again to solve my problem. and for the second time, she dropped the call again without letting me explain what I want. The third time I call, i specifically asked to talk to another person because I dont want to talk to this very RUDE lady anymore, and AGAIN WHILE I AM STILL TRYING TO EXPLAIN MY PROBLEM, she transferred my call to another staff WHILE I AM STILL SPEAKING. This other guy confirmed to me that my booking from AGODA is confirmed. SO WHY THE HELL THIS USELESS MAHWAISH IS TELLING ME REPETITIVELY THAT THEY ARE NOT DEALING WITH AGODA????? Cut the story short, the booking was revised and changed to the date that i need. I checked in on 3rd of December, and as usual on all the travels that i had, i asked from the receptiontist to provide me with dental kits (toothbrush and tooth paste). Unfortunately, it was never provided to me even i called them 3 times. After breakfast, i went directly to the reception and personally asked the dental kit and they said it is not available. Surprisingly, a hotel claiming to have a 5-star rating doesnt have toothbrush. So i went out of this fake 5star hotel to buy my own toothbrush. and decided to check out early because staying here will only worsen the experience. I checked out at around 10:30am. After an hour, i noticed that I left something in my room, so i immediately called them to inform them that i left something and i told them that i will be coming back within that day. I came back at around 7pm, and surprisingly, no one from them knows that I checked out that day, and i left something, and i called after an hour, and i will be coming back. THere was no proper communication and endorsement between them. What made me so furious is that when they assisted me to the same room and told me to look for the item myself. For sure it is not there because the room is already cleaned up. And everyone is telling me that they did not find anything in my room when they cleaned it. So from their words, my missing item JUST DISAPPEARED or it is invisible, or their cleaner is blind because they claimed that they are all honest if they found something. I will not waste my time coming back to that hotel if that item is not important to me, unfortunately, my item was never found. I can accept that if I did not call an hour after checking out. If only they tried to look for my item right after my call, for sure it will not be missing until now. What happened is they just started looking for it when i returned which was 8 hours after i checked out, and everyone is claiming that it was not there. THIS IS THE WORST HOLIDAY THAT I EXPERIENCED BECAUSE OF MY STAY IN THIS HOTEL.…
