The Swissotel Living Al Ghurair was a great fit for our trip. We were first time visitors to Dubai, mom and 11 year old son. We were looking for apartment style accommodations with kitchen amenities, laundry options and close to public transportation. The two bedroom apartment had 2.5 bathrooms, full sized refrigerator and washer/dryer. It met all of our needs. We opted for the buffet breakfast each day. There were many options to choose from at breakfast although those options did not change drastically from day to day. Staff was always kind and helpful. We did have a small building emergency in our unit but engineering and housekeeping responded swiftly and made all repairs without us having to leave the unit and relocate to another. I did find it odd that no one addressed the incident at any time but was definitely happy with how the general staff attended to the problem. We used the pool on only one occasion but did enjoy it and there is an option to order food/drinks poolside. This location also had the added benefit that it is attached to the Al Ghurair Shopping Center which has a grocery store on the 1st level. We were able to make a quick stop for groceries without ever having to go outside which was helpful on that day that it rained. The Union metro is about a block and a half away and is a green/red station. It made traveling throughout the city quick and easy. Taxi's were also readily available. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it.

My experience at the hotel was utterly disappointing. Despite booking directly through their website, the level of miscommunication was staggering. While Maklouf attempted to assist us beyond expectations, the management's unhelpfulness and insistence on overcharging tarnished our stay from the start. Despite arranging a late checkout due to our spa booking, we were incessantly hassled and made to feel like nuisances. The lack of internal communication among staff exacerbated the situation, with repeated interruptions despite prior arrangements. The accusation of damaging a safe upon our return, coupled with a demand for payment, felt like a blatant cash grab. Despite our longstanding loyalty to Swissotel, the treatment we received was appalling. From begging for basic amenities like water and towels to enduring subpar service during breakfast, the overall experience was marred by incompetence and indifference. Waiting half an hour for utensils and being told to fetch our own coffee for my elderly grandmother epitomized the extent of the staff's negligence. In sum, this was an abysmal experience that fell far short of the standards expected from a reputable hotel chain like Swissotel.

The over all experience was satisfactory. Rooms were spacious. Bedrooms and washrooms were clean. But there many things that need improvement. The staff was cheerful and helpful but only at the time of check in. Not after that during all 4 days and 3 nights.
The staff on ground floor and taxi drop off was either absent or avoid you so u have to work your self to load and unload your stuff from taxi. They will never step forward and help (except checking). Really disappointing. The kitchen was bad, utensils, microwave, fridge etc were dirty and smelled of old food. There was a dishwasher but no soap to clean dishes either in dishwasher or the sink. There were no napkins, kitchen cloth or tissues in kitchen or whole even the whole apartment. Furniture was old and loose. Sofas were really old and sagged from center and uncomfortable to sit. Also they really needed cleaning. Balcony was really dirty and balcony furniture was loaded with months old dust. Water pressure in washrooms was very weak and that really annoyed us during our 3 nights stay and maybe the determining reason we may not stay there again. The lighting in the apartment was very weak. there were few celling lights and few lamps, giving it a sort of haunted feel.
Complimentary breakfast is really basic and boring. Everything cold. Only fresh and hot item is omelets station with long queue and waiting time. Nothing notable that u will like to eat again. If you are staying more than 1 night then i will recommend to not choose breakfast and eat out from several places nearby or in the mall, or order delivery to enjoy variety.

We git a stunning a spacious room with a gorgeous view. All amenities were spotless and high quality. It is connected to a mall and Carrefour. It has its own free parking for guests. Room service provided daily and the breakfast buffet was amazing. My only issue against this hotel, was the unfamiliarity of booking a hotel car to the airport. While they collected the fees for that transport, couple of days in advance, it did not seem to be embedded in the system as they claimed they received no payment. Fortunately, I kept my receipt and then they acknowledged that I paid for it. There was no confirmation email or notification of any sort. It took at least 3 hours over couple of days of painful and time wasting back and forth to book such a simple transport. Since the hotel is not well equipped to arrange for such services, they should decline offering such service as it would have been much simpler for me to personally book a ride on any online business within 5 min.

The Swissotel Al Ghurair hotel, is relatively close to the airport in Dubai but at some distance from attractions such as the Dubai Mall. It has a handy shopping centre next door with a food court. The breakfasts at the hotel are good and the staff in all parts of the hotel are helpful and supportive. The rooms are clean and spacious. As an older traveller, I found the showers over bath arrangements very difficult to manage. I made a reservation for this hotel through Booking.Com. In the two days leading up to my arrival, I was hounded (close to ten emails) with requests for advance payment for one night. This is the first time I have had such a request with a Booking.Com reservation and I wasn’t sure if it was a scam. I didn’t pay, but was worried that my reservation might be cancelled. For this reason alone, I would not book this hotel again.

We've stayed at the 2-bedroom serviced apartments for 10 days and the experience was really great. The apartment was cleaned daily and the hotel follows the strict covid protocols. Housekeeping Marvin was very attentive to our requirements, meticulously cleaned our rooms and very courteous. Ms. Hazel from the Front Desk was aslo very helpful attending to our concerns and responding to them quickly. The apartment exudes a luxurious hotel touch which greatly separates it from a normal apartment. The location is close to Metro, restaurants and within the same building of the mall which is a great plus points. I'm looking forward to our next stay here again.

We stayed at the Swissotel Living Al Ghurair for 3 nights in January. Our two bedroom suite had a lovely view of the Burj Khalifa, but was dated and seemed to be missing essential items e.g. there was a full kitchen with dish washer, but no dishcloth, tea towel, dishwashing liquid or dishwasher powder. The main reason for the low rating is the disappointing experience of having pre-booked a Lindt High Tea and Massage (months prior to our arrival) to find out on arrival that none of my confirmed bookings had been made! Luckily the Spa could fit me in and we did manage to sort the High Tea, but this tainted the special occasion of the overall stay.

The hotel provides a shuttle to La Mer beach three times a day. It takes about half an hour to get there.
If you want to make your own way by other transport, then I recommend Al Mamzar beach. About 20 minutes with taxi.
Have a nice holiday. Which in Dubai, you definitely will.
