Detailed Reviews
Arriving at 3am i was given a smoking room hotel despite that i am non smoker, as it was the only one facing the Sheikh Zayed street that was my preference. Next day, noticing the difficulty of smell and not sleeping at all, i have asked to change. The front desk Mohammed was indeed very helpful and arranged a room for me that would be ready after 1400. Following change of shift though, It took them several hours to have the new room cleaned It was not ready until 1830 and the girl at the reception (the one with the mustard color scarf on the hair) was not paying any attention to my desperate requests that i needed a room to rest. Every time she was saying “we shall let you know sir” which sound totally meaningless in my ears as it was already 1830 !!! Only after i was ready to explode myself the manager has interfered and gave solution by giving me another room that was ready. It was an incident that actually made me very angry as it seems that people working at the reception is not necessary just to be smiling and be pleasant. They have to give solutions and that girl was truly ignoring all my requests. Thanks to the manager the problem was solved in 1’ and i was given a very nice room with fantastic view as per my request. In general the hotel is nice and value for money at a very nice location just opposite the emirates metro station. Very convenient place and very nice hotel especially the rooms facing the Sheikh Zayed road. The incident i consider it as an isolated incident whereas in general the hotel staff is helpful and polite. The manager at the front desk area who was on duty early afternoon the 5th january was indeed very helpful and very professional, i dont know his name but i thank him out of my heart. The hotel is nice and is strongly recommended for business and family needs. I plan to keep staying there as rooms are nice, spacious and clean. Wifi is of course fast and everywhere with no extra cost. The room service is fantastic and with great variety for all needs.

In the Dubai downtown area, we stayed at the Tower Plaza Hotel. While we were there, it was called the Millenium Plaza Hotel, and the name was changed shortly after our stay. This is a borderline 5 star hotel located on the main north-south roadway of Dubai, the Sheikh Zayed Road. I call it borderline, because some of the hotel policies just aren’t true 5-star policies. We asked for ice, and were told we could buy a bucket if we wanted ice. On the positive side, it is located directly opposite the Emirates Towers Metro station, which is very convenient. However, even though the entrance to the station is only steps from the hotel's rear entrance, it is still an 8-10 minute walk to get to a metro train. The bridge over the 14 lane Sheik Zayed road is very looooong.
The hotel is popular with groups, and the breakfast area is quite full between 8:30 and 9:30. Our room was huge, but poorly designed with very little storage area, and in the closet, the clothes bar was so high that my wife couldn't even reach it. The other problem was the size of the shower. It was simply too big. If you stood under the shower head, which was in the exact center of the shower, you had no contact with any of the four walls. There was also nothing to hold on to and it was a bit unsettling.

We booked the hotel from 24th to 31st October 2020.Mr. Salin who did our check in process which was fast and precise and his colleague Mr. Riyas made our stay such a delight allocated a room that had the best view EVER,. Very attentive to detail ,extremely helpful with anything and everything we needed.
Breakfast was nice but lacked variety .
The housekeeping team strained to keep up to the hygiene standard currently required and the room cleaning was equally wanting but they did their best to cater to any issues we had related to the same.
their indoor piped music was so relaxing and gave you a good vibe while at the facility.
I will recommend this hotel to anyone looking for convenience in location, accessibility and comfort.

My husband and I booked the executive suite for 5 days. The hotel itself is very nice, and while there is nothing overtly bad about it, I wouldn't rate it as 5 stars, maybe a 3 or 4 stars.
The suite was a fantastic size with amazing views over the city. The decor is a little dated and cleanliness was average (for example the glass in the shower didn't look like it had ever been cleaned); for this type of room, at this price, in a 5 star hotel I would expect it to be pristine.
The breakfast buffet had lots of variety and everything always seemed very fresh and delicious, staff were very attentive.
The pool/spa are located very inconveniently; you have to take the lift to the 12th floor, walk across a bridge to the carpark building and get a second left to the roof. Once there, it's a very pleasant setting with city views and bar service.
Every member of staff we came into contact with were extremely helpful and polite, and very pleasant to deal with.
The hotel is right beside a metro station and taxi stop, so it is very convenient for those who wish to explore the city.
For the right price I would stay at the hotel again, but I wouldn't pay what we did this time, expecting 5 star luxury.

Pros - locations provided easy access to the metro (right across the street)
Cons- Our stay was disappointing. Compared to other hotels in Dubai, this hotel was somewhat dated.
We booked and pre paid for a king bed non smoking room. On arrival we were told a room with those specifications was not available. There was no apology. We were given a room with 2 full beds. Another relative travelling with us had the same issue and he was given a smoking room (despite the fact that he prepaid and requested a non smoking room). It took them 2 days to finally move us to the right room we paid for. More importantly the staff was not apologetic and did not offer any compensation.
We had an issue with receiving clean towels. On some days after the room was cleaned, no towels were provided. We had to keep calling the front desk daily for a basic amenity such as a towel.
The toilet had a bad odor, smelled like the sewage was backing up/smelled like a public toilet
There was mold in the shower
The TV remote in our final room was not working
While black out curtains were provided, due to the architectural design there was always bright light beaming into the room from the bathroom which made it extremely hard to sleep in while we were on vacation.
Breakfast was basic. More variety would be appreciated. Coffee and tea was being poured by waiters and it was always difficult to get their attention. Coffee and tea could have been placed in the self serve stations
Overall, for the exuberant price, would not recommend this hotel

We had booked for a superior room but the gentleman who checked us in upgraded us to a premium room. That was very nice of him and I wanna thank him for that and for accommodating our request on a higher floor. However, when we went to the room nothing was working, tv turns off on it's own, safe box was not working and the mini bar was not cooling off. For a 5 star hotel aren't this things suppose to be checked before the guests check in. Despite that, I wanna thank Mr. Pradeep (if I'm not mistaken) from eng. team who came and fixed them for us. The next day we went out and when we came back the room was not cleaned. We called the reception and they told us that they clean the room 2 times in a week, so the whole week we stayed there the room was never cleaned or at least changing the towels or the bed sheets. We had to call one day before checking out to them to come and clean the room. Never experienced this kind of thing in any hotel I've stayed.
The carpet in the floor corridor is very dirty and looks outdated.
The night before checking out we asked for a laundry bag, they brought it and we never came to know as they left it at the door outside did not ring the bell to let us know.
Despite this the team were very friendly and happy to help whenever you needed something, room service team or the housekeeping team, I wanna thank them for their prompt response.
But I wouldn't choose this hotel and recommend it to stay again.

Every year we come to Gulfood and we’ve stayed already in several hotels. Apart from a very nice front desk service and good looking lobby, this hotel has nothing else from 5* hotel.
The check-in was fast, we were lucky there were not much people. For a small additional fee we’ve been upgraded to a superior room, that had a view on the main road.
Though it was a better room, there were some issues. It looked very tired. TV remote was not working properly.
Bidet was leaking, I didn’t notice first and nearly killed myself slipping on the water, gladly I didn’t injure myself but these things can come costly to the hotel if someone does hurt him/herself.
They don’t have any understanding of towels. Two people need two shower towels, two face towels and at least one bathroom floor towel. I always had to call for them, cause they only leave shower towels and one small.
The elevators are a nightmare, one might actually get old while waiting. If you happen to go for breakfast during rush-hour, you might take easily 20-30min waiting.
Breakfast is horrible. Not only the dining room is old, the tables were not being cleaned fast, so there were always piles of dirty dishes around. The food is not tasty, the coffee available in machine is not drinkable. So I usually tried to catch some personnel and ask for machine coffee, but that might take some time.
The pool is another disappointment, I didn’t even swim in this one. The sunbed pillows and towels were very old.

As with all of these reviews they are subjective, based on experiences, standards and expectations.
We stayed for 6 nights while on a business trip. We chose the hotel due to its location (close to Dubai business centre) and cost. We read the reviews and based on the assumption that all hotels in Dubai are usually of a high standard we decided to book.
Our room was ok, comfortable enough and looking out towards the sea. Downside the room has a musty smell to it and had a sour drain smell coming from the toilet. The shower also had lots of mould.
One day we returned to our room at 7pm after a busy day working to discover the room hadn’t been cleaned
I called housekeeping and they did send two people around immediately. Unfortunately one of the male cleaners suffered very badly from BO (body odour) which left the room smelling even worse.
Breakfast was ok but definitely had room for improvement.
The hotel is a dry hotel for those who enjoy an alcohol beverage to unwind or catch up with colleagues at the end of the working day.
On a positive note, the bed was comfortable.
Photos show mould in shower in room.

I Have stayed here for a month and have enjoyed the beautiful view from the hotel. I Was kindly and smilingly received though I checked in at. 1 o'clock at night.
The Staff to be extremely polite and especially Eswaran who has made sure my room is perfect has to be recommended for his attention. The Gym is nice and with a wide selection of weights and machines that will satisfy most people. Positives & negatives from the moment of arrival.
Positives: great location in the heart of Dubai. Friendly funny & helpful staff. The room is a great size with nice views of the city & burj Khalifa. Spacious bathroom & fair sized sitting area. Very modern. Perfect for couples.
Negatives: it’s a bit pricey considering we stayed during a time when Dubai was in lockdown. That should have been taken into consideration. Not all the channels on the tv were working, took a few hours before only 2 channels were repaired. Became very boring. Had to watch movies on my laptop which was kind of annoying considering the big screen tv was right there. Room service was fine but overpriced also. Was cheaper to order from ‘uber eats.’ Lastly, smooth checkout process however once we exit the building, I noticed the car wasn’t parked where I had originally left it the night before. The valet asked us to come to the car park to identify the vehicle. We politely refused as we did not wish to carry our bags & walk over to the parking lot especially since the valet should deliver the car to reception. The wrong vehicle was then brought to us. We did not notice straight away as it was identical to our hire car. Until we almost reached the highway we realised it’s not ours as there was belongings inside the inner console that did not belong to us. When we returned back to the hotel, the valet said “this is why I asked you to come back to identify the car.” Now, I understand they are identical & mistakes happen.. however it is not my responsibility to organise your car park! This is not an issue anyone should face. I just thought to myself well imagine if I left for Abu Dhabi which was my intention, & was returning the wrong vehicle to EUROPCAR.
Overall outcome: I wouldn’t stay again. With the amount of money & effort put at millennium plaza, you can definitely stay somewhere much more suitable. And if I could make any recommendations to management, please take into consideration to offer more special rates/discounts when the world is facing a pandemic.. especially since pools, gyms, bars, spa facilities & restaurants are closed

Hi, wish you a safe trip and tranquil stay, I’m not quite sure about the airport shuttle as I usually rent a car, but certainly they’ve got a shuttle to the outlet mall as I saw the ad in the lobby.
Please check their website for shuttle service.
IMHO the breakfast is highly mediocre and we've stayed in several hotels in the neighborhood during Gulfood, so we have what to compare with. To get a decent coffee, one needs to catch someone from the personnel and then wait for some 15min. If coming for breakfast after 9, you'll wait for ages for the elevator (like up to 20min) and there were queues up and down.
Yes, you ask 24 hours before
I don’t know, you will need to ask them directly.
