Once we checked in hotel, found so amazing everything, but spoiled everything one some one calling from reception at night around 0250hrs. And saying I have additional visitor in room, and asking my partner name who staying with me, it's so weird, you got the ID y asking my partner name at late night time? He answered it's for safety purposes, but how???? I already informed next day to shift incharge, but there is no feed back from them, we thinking for extend our stay, and book again in future, but this weird and unprofessional act from night reception staff, disappointed us.
I don't usually go out of my way to write bad reviews, actually never done it, but my experience at this hotel was so shocking that I have to share my story. I checked in this hotel for a few nights as I usually like to see if I enjoy my stay prior to booking it for longer. When i arrived there wasn't anyone at the front entrance to collect my bags, I had to wait to finally get a bell boy. 1. I made my booking on booking.com and as per my confirmation all taxes and fees were included. I am a genius member at booking.com and have been using it for years. when you made a booking with them I have never had to make any further payments. BUT, at noon the day after i checked in and extended for another night, they asked me to pay an additional amount. I went out that afternoon and didn't back till 2:30 am, upon entering the hotel they wouldn't allow me back into my room until i cleared the 5 dollars for the fees they said I owed them however unable to show me any proof of that request. IMAGINE almost 3 am and they created a massive fuss for 5 dollars. I told them I'll deal with it in the morning and they refused to let me back into my room. I said i'd call the police, they said " go ahead, do it" ... I was appalled by the behavior of the receptionist who's name was Biniyam. After a long and very painful argument at 3am in reception which this very uneducated man, I asked to pick up my things from the room and leave the hotel. the money was not the issue, its the principle. I have never in my life been treated so badly by any hotel and ive traveled the world and stayed in all sorts of hotels, from luxury to budget hotels but never had an experience like this. this hotel is so bad, the staff is so uneducated, no sense of customer service whatsoever. pretty bad management too. there are TONS of hotels in Dubai to stay at, avoid this one at all costs. I think its a hotel that you will comeback because of the staff. Exterior and lobby is quite exquisite but the room should do a full renovation. I recommend jewel from the reception as she will go beyond the mile to help and deliver the service with her best what a really great hospitality ☺️ Shes a star and would definitely comeback next time!
I don’t usually go out of my way to write bad reviews but after staying at this hotel for a week, I feel like people should know what they are walking into, reception very unhelpful, to have some breakfast you basically have to beg staff to add more food once it’s finished, bathroom shower door doesn’t close and is falling apart, toilet leaked for the last 4 days and they did nothing about it, there’s stains all over the carpets and curtains, they don’t really clean your room they limit themselves to make the beds. Overall very poor experience, the reception area looks nice but all the rest needs a makeover.
I’m checking in at 3:30pm I went to the reception area to do my bookings . The receptionist didn’t ask me what preference I want so I just talk to him that I want a smoking he told me that they don’t have after a minute he said it’s fine . Then afterwards I told him that I want to do late check out by 1pm yet he said straight NO. then I said why ? What’s the reason it shown in your site that check out can be 12-1pm then he said ok. This all the response that you gonna get from him. I went to my room 102 to check if the room is fine yet when I open the television is not working so I called reception again to send someone to fix it yet since I check out nobody comes. 10 in the morning someone is knocking on my door and wrung the doorbell housekeeping I get pissed off in the middle of my sleep . I said no 30 mins after someone is calling I pick the phone no body answer by 11am reception called me it reminder that I’m about to check out hell really I’m not in the mood that time what’s the purpose of telling u that your checking out at 1 and still someone is checking on you by that time I told her that im check at 1 pm and I informed you guys . I checked out at 12:30 because I cannot sleep anymore . I went home then suddenly I realize that I forgot my iPhone charger in the hotel so call directly the hotel and someone answer the phone get my contact details and call me back asap yet it didn’t happen. I called twice they told me room it’s not been clean around 4pm call back again . Third time I called im really angry and upset she said I can come now so take it but I told her that im not staying in dubai if by any chance I send someone to pick it up . They said send and email to us yet they cannot provide email they will call me again but it never happen. Fourth in a row 10:30 pm I call again she said I can send someone to pick up my things . To ended up this issue im really upset the way you handle customers problems . You told me that you gonna call me back yet it didn’t happened I called u 4times by myself but there’s no initiative. Poor customer service poor handling lost and found poor and not trained staff . I will not tolerate this kind of action. I will never be back . 😡😡😡😡…
I have stayed twice at this hotel while on business. It is far from 4 star. While the staff are pleasant, the rooms and in fact the whole hotel is dated and the rooms need a complete revamp. It may have been fashionable interiors in the 70's but so needs money spending on it. The Breakfast was ok but for a 4 star hotel, I was expecting better. The hotel appears to have 'working ladies' as I was accosted several times. As for trying to sleep, there is a night club/bar which was operating 3 times in one week and the thud, thud, thud from the music did not finish until 3am. I did complain to the Receptionist but he really was not interested. After 3am it takes a good 30/40 mins for people to leave the hotel so there is a lot of shouting/singing etc. The only good point about this hotel is the location - very good location close to Mall of Emirates. Otherwise I would avoid it. I am due to visit Dubai in June but will certainly not be staying at this hotel. …
I stayed at the grand excelsior al barsha for 3 days. it was my first time.I fully enjoyed my stay. Everything was nice and met the standards I had in mind. The rooms are incredibly and surprisingly spacious, given that I hadn’t even booked an expensive or big room. Housekeeping is well-ordered. Rooms are clean, and toilet and bath and shower are of good standard. Just bear in mind that if swimming pool and getting sun is one of the things on which you’re not willing to compromise when booking a hotel, you might wanna try another hotel. The swimming pool isn’t big enough and there isn’t enough room for getting sun, maybe just for as many as one or two people. Btw, it is less than ten minutes of walk to the mall of the Emirates. I will surely be back to the hotel.
We had our stay at Grand Excelsior for 5 nights and it has been a wonderful experience. Special thanks to front desk team & Room division manager where they checked on us on regular basis if everything went well. Thanks to your team for all the support. Would highly recommend.
Worst hotel in UAE Staff are rude and couldn't sleep from the loud music coming from the par The music was very loud and stayed all night although I called several time and complained every time the stuff were laying to me and said the party will be over in 30 min And it was never over ,,, I had the worst night although I was tired and needed to sleep Please don't make my mistake Please don't book at this hotel
I like the hotel People are friendly Specially front office staff they manage to make my stay Comfortable ,hotel design is nice . Near to MOE ,10 out of 10 from my side and thanks to Mr. Babar juee and Ms Jawell for the Quick check and free upgrade definitely I will be back thank u all 🙂
