I am basing my judgement on the assumption that this hotel classes itself as a five star hotel. When compared with other 5 star hotels in the city, there is a clear disparity in quality. However, I’ll get to that.
The hotel staff are generally excellent with the door staff, porters and cleaners being particularly attentive and courteous. The rooms are spacious, clean and have the best buttons ever. The light control buttons and the buttons for ‘do not disturb’ and so on are just brill. I love all the buttons.
The bathroom is similarly spacious and the shower is one of the best I have stood under on my 37 years on this earth.
The Japanese restaurant was very good: huge portions, excellent service and the discount for hotel residents was appreciated.
It is a hotel that does try its level best for its customers.
Now to the reasons why the hotel cannot and should not justify itself as a five star hotel:
The bath plug does not work properly and so you can’t run a bath. A more typical metal plug with a chain will solve that issue.
The pool area was devoid of any life and, although food and snacks were shown on a display, there was no-one there to order food from.
The worst aspect was the ‘requirement’ for guests to have a PCR test prior to departure. This was said to me as I arrived and then reinforced by the travel representative. The fee was to be 200 dirham- nearly £40.
This, at the time of writing, a PCR is only required for those countries that require a PCR upon entry. Despite my showing of the entry requirements for my country (which did not require such a test), I felt I was pressurised to take a test. This was resolved with the help of a friend who lives in the country. To be truthful, it felt like a scam.
The hotel, if it reputes to be five stars, MUST ensure they understand the travel requirements as the pandemic continues to play out. The pressure placed upon me to take a test I did not require was completely unnecessary.
So, as a hotel, very good. However, it needs to do a lot more to get 5 stars from me.

Front Desk, Reception was nice thou it took time to checkin and need to pay 20aed for the tourism tax. Once we arrived at our room it was clean and relaxing and our rating for that is good, however the towels are stiff and overused, bed sheets are okay and the bed is amazingly comfortable.
Dinner at La'mesa was excellent with the servings of "Pork" the food was great, and you have to be there early as the restaurant gets crowded around 20:00-21:00. Management should limit the customers coming in due to covid situation.
We booked a Breakfast deal with the hotel and the food at Sonamu has 4 choices of b'fast that they can offer you, American, Arabic, Indian and Korean dishes. Our Food server was excellent "Lemmuel" very accommodating to customers.
Checkout was straight forward, give em' the key and go.
Our overall experience in this hotel in Diera Muraqabbat was pleasant and smilingly Very good.

I like this hotel a lot because of its F&B outlets. I have never been disappointed in every dining experience I have had here. This is the second time I celebrated my birthday in Lamesa. But today was extraordinarily special because, I was able to enjoy my meals. As a mom I always have to assist my kids with their food. Thanks to Lemwell who looked after my kids, refills our drinks without being asked and clears our tables promptly. Alyana was equally hospitable and welcoming. She gave us a thorough brief on the changes in the outlet set-up. Moreover if my kids enjoyed the food and satisfied with the variety -- it says a lot! Once again, thank you for making my birthday a special one. Looking forward to celebrating more occasions in this property.

Pros: Clean spacious rooms and bathrooms, staff at the reception, approx 8-10 mins walk to the metro, next to Reef Mall.
Cons: Road side rooms are noisy.

We reached the hotel at 9 AM and requested an early check in. Check ins before 6 AM are charged a full night rate, from 6 AM - 12 PM are changed around 150-170 AED and post that its free. We were very exhausted and desperately needed a room so payed 150 AED and took the room. It was facing towards the road and i could see Reef Mall. You can hear the vehicle noise all the time. We stayed only for a night and checked out early so cant comment on the over all facilities of the hotel or food. But from the initial impression it is not a 5* hotel more like a 3.5/4*.

We booked a room for Thursday 25th of March.
Once we entered the room we saw how old the furnitures were and how dirty and dusty the room was.
I was absolutely shocked that specially during these times they were not cleaning the rooms properly. There were dusts over the cabinet doors, behind the beds, mirror and over the tables. The toilet sink was disgusting. Also, The fridge was not working which the immediately came and replaced it.
Since we checked in at around 1:40pm until 10-11pm nonstop we could hear furniture moving sound coming from upper floor. We had no peace or no sleep.
When we complained to the staff, she directed our call to the manager. He offered to change our room but we asked first to tell us what’s the reason for the sounds. He said ok I will investigate and call you back. This conversation took place at around 8:30pm.
Around 9:45pm I went to reception and spoke with one of the staff he said manager has left already. He did not call back and left because his duty is finished. What kinda manager leaves before finishing his work specially when he promised to call back and tell us the reason for the sound. Very unprofessional.
The staff called him and he said that the sound is because of the restaurant and manager already told them to keep it down which they did not.
I asked if I could speak with the manager he said no because he already left.
I was extremely disappointed and they ruined the day we had planned.
Will definitely never go back again and suggest everyone not to as well.

We was there 2days ago checked in with my boyfriend. Rooms was old and pool was too small, there sun bed has different color (yellowish) which is i think it's never wash. There's nothing much to do in the hotel the good thing is they have nice restaurants. We enjoyed in YURAKU restaurant and it's cheap prices highly recommended. But Thanks to the the guy (Mandeep) for his effort to give us late check out.

My name is Yang from South Korea. I have stayed at this hotel several times before for businessed. Today I would like to thank especially to Mr. Mostapha who has been working at Sonamu restaurant morning shift during my staying.
Mr. Mostapha has been very professional at his work and I think he was well trained and he knows how to treat guests and how to make them happy and satisfied. All restaurant staffs were also definitely well trained to do their works. And he have made my days with big, gentle, warm smiles every morning. He was always very responsive to my requests as well. All staffa at Sonamu have great service minds. I can enjoy nice and good quality Korean dishes and Japanese dishes too. House keeping staffs were also nice, they have kept asking what I needed during the whole staying. Wherever I asked for something, they were also very responsive and quick came to my room.
Thanks again and I will come back to this hotel because of his and all staffs professionalism that is more than expected.
And thanks to all staffs who have kept my i room clean all the times. And location is also nice to use metro conveniently. From the first day until departure day, I have felt being taken well care by them.

Hope to see them again.

Room defected busted light in the room, AC is under Maintenance when we check in it’s too warm in the room. When you dial for reception or housekeeping for assistance no one answer the phone! Im in house guest and pass by around 9:30pm at boracay bar just to have a drinks. And because I’m wearing sleeper they don’t allow me to enter in the bar because of the dress code! Common guys Bar Is Empty I want to have a bottle of wine it’s revenue for the hotel. Just be flexible when your place is empty to get revenue from your in house guest. Instead I went somewhere just to drink a bottle of wine with my sleepers!

For Breakfast at Sonamo Restaurant Mr. Kevin is very handful and knowledgeable about his job he is only guy running the outlet by himself just to. Serve all his guest. And chef Davis to prepare our food!

Well done Kevin and Chef Davis!

Not the hotel that I would recommend to. From the time we step in in this hotel, service is not at all professional. We requested to park in front of the hotel since there is a vacancy, but then they will insist that its just for emergency. It would be understandable if you won’t see any cars parked there. So, we parked on their narrow basement parking. But then, when we went out at night, 2 cars were parked just on the same spots.. so, can u blame us? Is it right to show discrimation to their guests?

Now, we go to the room part,,.. Upon entering, the air freshener was way too much. I was coughing the whole time right after. Very strong smell. AC is not cold the whole night. Breakfast at Sonamu though was great. So, in conclusion.. service, people, staffs, concierge are not at all pleasant and not professional. I would commend housekeeping for their cleaning service (minus the air freshener). And.. the only good thing about this hotel - restaurants won’t fail you.

Like usual, all depends on how discreet the guest and the visitor are behaving. Normally the hotel management in UAE does not encourage guests to have causal company. The Asiana has a big disco; and I have not seen a security guard standing on each floor.
