Firstly this was my first time In Dubai. I will give an honest review as always but this is better as a pros and cons: PROs Short transfer to hotel as near airport and transfer by Emirates was very good. Upon arrival (3am) the Reception was swift and easy and room was spotless and well equipped ( with a few minor exceptions) The staff are very friendly and helpful and always great you with a smile. Main restaurant, busy at times but food was always hot and plenty of choice. We lunched in The Palm by the beach and this was always to a good standard. There the pros end… CONs There are cameras everywhere I mean everywhere even outside rooms and can be very intimidating at first. There are suited security staff on entrance and in lobby area they are very polite and helpful BUT… the security that wear black jeans and T-shirts with security written on them are very intimidating and walk around with bad attitudes, they think they’re bouncers at a west end club rather than a family resort. I feel uncomfortable and unnecessary. The bars are busy and drinks very weak. The Entertainment is very basic . The beach is crushed shells so take some beach shoes as getting in and out of water can be harsh on your feet. Be advised this Hotel is 80% Russian speaking guests who unfortunately have no interest in socialising as the Brits do. One literally stripped his spedos off on the beach every day we were there, with no thought for surrounding guests or families. You can put your towels on beds but be warned these guests pay no mind to them and will take your tables, beds and parasols as they feel fit regardless of your personal belongings being there. Overall the Hotel is clean nice staff and food not too bad but you cannot take drinks or food to your room and no optics in rooms.far out from main Mall and very intimidating atmosphere. Planes fly over all day and night didn’t bother us but worth a mention. Lastly the views are of industrial type buildings and tankers.…

Our experience at Dubai Riu was nothing but perfect! "He"is in a new location in Dubai called Deira Islands and or sure in a couple of years will be a sensation in Dubai. Riu is always a perfect standard all inclusive resort with very welcoming and friendly staff. The hotel is "smelling desert"such as is band new! Front Ocean rooms are mandatory! Our room was absolutely perfect with a great view and nice shower. The front desk staff was great! Specialty dinning rooms were amazing and the Italian one had the best touch... Reminded me the Italian in Cancun at Riu Cancun. Pool area amazing and the bartenders were really well trained to make a perfect Mojito! The general dinning room had absolutely excellent choices each and every day! We booked the Riu Hotel in Dubai with my family (Mum, Dad, my husband and my 1 year old son) i'd been to Dubai previously so i was slightly skeptical about the location of this hotel as it seemed to be quite far out of Dubai's main areas (Jumeriah & the marina) however what a lovely surprise this hotel was. To be fair I didn't expect anything less from a Riu hotel having previously stayed in a few of their hotels. All of the staff at the hotel were so friendly, approachable and helpful. The reception staff were knowledgeable and accommodating especially with our late check out due to a late flight, the restaurant staff were just a joy to see every day, always so happy with a lovely, positive energy. We would like to thank Rose and Rakesh particularly as they built up a lovely relationship with my little boy and he loved seeing them every day and they made such a fuss of him and us. Rose and Rakesh become like extended family to us by the end of our holiday and we were so sad to leave. Overall this hotel is a perfect hotel for a number of reasons you can visit Dubai on a reasonable price, all inclusive in a little piece of secluded heaven, whilst having the option to visit the main attractions in Dubai (taxis are really cheap). On one occasion we even got a taxi to the nearest metro station (Union) and made the short journey to the Dubai mall, this way we beat all the traffic and it was easy and much quicker. I also have to mention the food, it was the best all inclusive food I've experienced. The choice was vast (Chinese, Indian, Arabian etc) and extremely tasty. …

I will start by saying that it is unfair for travellers to comment on the Aircraft & the Location. This is all explained in the description of the hotel, so don’t book if this is an issue. I stayed here for 8 days March 2022 on my own. Thoroughly enjoyed every bit of my stay. Now I’ve just had another 8 day stay with a friend. Rooms spotless, Food excellent. All the staff are amazing. All I wish is that our European travellers give more respect to the staff and other travellers and wait their turn in the queue. Another thing that was annoying was that parents let their kids run about in the the dining room, I witnessed one kid climbing on the counters where the food is. Will definitely be returning to this hotel again. Hopefully this year.

One week wasn't long enough to fully enjoy all services, which offered this very comfy hotel with own private beach. Food was delicious and never runed out, breakfast was rich on healthy food , lunch was possible to eat without tight dress code near the beach. On evenings we enjoyed multiple times Libanon restaurant. During the day there were many possibilities to be active with sports like beach volleyball and at night we enjoyed glimmer shows and dance nights.

Really warth of recomendation. As all hotels based on very similiar services: overnight, f&b, etc. ... waht can makes difference is always service. This was perfect and reception supervisor made my stay great. Food excellent, cleanless TOP, beach and serwices on the beach perfect. The only onf very few hotels when AI drinks and alcohol is as we call it PREMIUM. Distance from airport 20 minutes and to Dubai center ( OLD TOWN ) 15 min. Landing aircrafts are not a problem but afternoon control is sending them quite close to hotel but still it is not a problem. Higly recomended !

Great staff, nothing too much trouble. Nice hotel, the building is in good condition and well cared for, room had everything you could need. The restaurants were great especially The Moon, the Lebanese food was excellent. There are three pools, all nice and plenty of loungers. So overall nice. Now the downsides, no adult only pool and all pools were noisy with music . There were alot of children. The planes taking off and landing any over the hotel, you do block then out eventually. I was surprised by the number of people who smoked and the smoking party of the terrace restaurant was larger than the non smoking. Unfortunately I wouldn't go back.

The rooms are very good with a nice balcony ocean view. The staff is so friendly. Rebecca and Mohammed are the best at the restaurant. We always sit outside. 3 Swimming pools, friendly people at the bar. Child swimming pool is very good lot's of children playing with each other. And only 15 minutes from the airport :) Lot of choices in the restaurant and you also have 3 others restaurants. VIsited the hotel 2 times in 4 months. Maybe we go again in November when it's cold in Europe :)

We are in RIU with 2 kids , one is a baby and one is 3,5 years old. Eventhough there is a lot of children here and it seems to be a perfect place for children is not so true . First of all , the weather is not perfect everyday of course, especially in winter/spring … so it would be perfect to have something to do on windy days when you cant stay on beach or swim in pool. Unfortunatelly all of 3 pools are quite cold to swim, especially on cloudy days. Suprise for me was that even the baby pool is cold, so its empty most of the day. Aquaworld the same thing , water is really cold🥶 There is only one really small playground in all resort, (one slide and one swing) but its open from 10:30 -17:30, and this is something i dont uderstand and what maked me really angry. Most of children wake up early, so it would be perfect to have a place to play …. If you dont want to watch tablet all day. Honestly I have never seen closed playground in some hotel …or opening hours. We used to play on playground between dinner and evening program so I cant see the reason why they are doing so… I was sure that there will be some mixed baby food in cups , so it was also a suprise that there is no such a thing in this hotel. I think its really a common nowadays in a 5* hotels! On the other side, hotel is nice and clean, staff is very helpful and even that there is a lot of people here they cope very well with a fast service of all the people - 2 beach/pool bars . To sum-up nice place to stay, but more for adults than families. …
