Hotel's Favorite
So my first return to dubai since the world came to a standstill in the spring of 2020. It had to be the JZS, although I have lost track a little, I think this was visit 12 or 13 to the hotel. Even better with emirates flying out of Gatwick again and so no need to endure the M25! I knew in advance that some things had changed… the hotel car that used to transport the club room guests was gone (thankfully emirates stepped in there…) and the club room has moved again in the hotel, this time to the Turkish restaurant (never really liked it, so happy that’s has gone, not so sure about the club room…) the shuttle bus to the mainland had gone before Covid, but it made you notice that taxis had gone up in price! Less well known the daily newspapers gone, no sign of press reader (the usual digital alternative), and the lovely shower amenities now come secured to the wall like a travel lodge. Making it impossible to have a bath and get clean as there were no gels on the wall by the bathroom! And no turn down chocolates… but you do get a bookmark every night! Thankfully some good things remain… mainly the staff… they really do want to help. Some stand out and make you most welcome, others stand out, sadly as they don’t. Maybe new to the job, maybe not feeling the Jumeirah stay different way? Although there are notable fewer staff in some areas, I know hospitality recruitment in the Uk has been hard post covid, I imagine Dubai is the same. It’s clear that the hotel was very busy, I wonder if they may be overselling the club side as on many occasions it was tricky to get into the club room. This will be solved when it goes back to its original home in what was most recently the grill room I think. Breakfast was a little lacklustre in the club room (but imperium was superb) and when you could get a table the choice of cocktails was much improved from previous visits. Less good was the afternoon tea that was at best “perfunctory” the days of more than the slightly too firm finger sandwiches, scones and cakes long gone. I do fear that I had hoped for too much, having missed the hotel since Covid. It’s not been my first holiday since Covid, but maybe I just expected too much. The hotel still smells and looks amazing, the pool is fabulous but the rooms are starting to tire and the stripping out of most soft furnishings in rooms post Covid has made them less opulent somehow. So as to the staff that stood out… There were many, sorry I didn’t get all the names. But Sunil on the door as true gent, always there to greet and assist and look after you. Good to have a long-standing team member there. Rajendrah by the pool once more looking after your every need, even when I asked, as I may have done to sit in the shade but also the sun at the same time. He knew where I meant! Nothing was too much and in the extreme heat he always made sure all was well and provided plenty of iced water. Muthu in the club lounge was a consummate professional. I feel he was doing his best, and it showed. He was always working hard, His team were not perhaps at their best, but it’s clear that he was trying to help them. Hopefully the return to the original Club room will give him a better facility that he can excel in. I’m typing this after a truly relaxing week and know that I’m a lucky person for being at the JZS once more. I will return. Please don’t feel my comments are critical, it’s more that when you love a hotel as much as I love this one, when something isn’t quite right it feels worse than it should.…

I had the pleasure of staying at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray with my husband in November 2023. The service, amenities, food and service was immaculate. In particular, we must give special thanks to JAYA who took care of our room. Everyday upon returning to our room, we were met with towels turned into swans and rose petals in a heart shape and all over the bed. On some days we even had chocolate truffles left by JAYA as a surprise treat and on our final day we even got a teddy bear and bag to take home. We have stayed in 5* resorts before but I have never seen such lovely turn down service especially considering we didn’t request anything special and it wasn’t our honeymoon. JAYA went over and beyond in providing a wonderful service and always greeted us with a smile. Hope that he gets all the recognition and reward he deserves for such hard work! 😊…

From start to finish, everything was fantastic here. Service was impeccable, the rooms were fantastic and housekeeping were great - adding personal touches at times. E.g. seeing you wear glasses and giving you cleaning cloths. The whole place is immaculate, the beds are amazing and the concierge service is super easy to use. The Lebanese restaurant was our favourite but Tori Tori and zenzi beach were fantastic. The whole vibe is chilled, being on that part of the west palm but brilliant. Taxis always there, staff are so helpful. I will definitely return here, when coming back to Dubai.

Stayed here for the second time and I cannot fault the hotel or staff at all! They are always on hand for anything you need and nothing is too much for them! Omar at reception was amazing!! Spa is the best in dubai and well worth getting a few treatments in during your stay.

Really loved our stay in Zabeel Saray. It was amazing. It was our second time. Our little daughter got unwell and we were taken care of. Gopal the gentleman who looked after our room was amazing he was very kind and attentive. Always getting us things promptly and thinking ahead of us on what we needed. I cannot say enough good things about Gopal he is sweet caring and welcoming.

This hotel is lovely, setting and decor in lobby is breathtaking - you can understand why Mission Impossible was filmed there! Throughout our stay we felt that something was missing from it being truly 5 star. The signature restaurants are good but menu is limited when you are on Half Board (and needing to dine there more than once) but with the "Dine Around" program you can get to sample other Jumeirah restaurants which is a great benefit. We had an awful experience with Al-Nooforah who refused to accommodate making a basic meal - essentially the restaurant saying they did not have rice to make rice and chickpeas! - very pathetic!. Overall the service levels are a 3/5 at best but their management is clearly a 5/5 so there is a gap in messaging down to all levels. The Spa facilities is amazing and housekeeping team very thorough and efficient. Would I go there again...with so much competition it is a place you must visit but am still looking for that pure 5 star experience!…

We wanted to jet-ski so we went to Hydro Water Sports & Hasan from the sales team gave us a good price and booked us in. Ahmed picked us up and took us out on the water and we had the best experience doing the couples jet-ski. We saw some great sites and they took some amazing photos which we bought too! Go check them out!!

We have had an amazing stay at Zabeel and highly recommend booking water sports with Hydro Water Sports. Ahmed was great, looked after us really well on the jet skis and took some epic photos. Hassan & Kamal were also great.
