First and foremost, a hotel that takes the safety and protection of its guests highly, its clear that cleanliness is a top priority, sanitizers were given and were distributed around the hotel appropriately, temperatures were checked on every entry, and even in the pool areas the sun loungers were wiped down.

The hotel itself offered really great value for money, with large welcoming rooms and facilities alongside friendly staff all round, who were always willing to help.

It was nice to see Mustafa greets us on arrival serving delicious coffee and dates - but also teaching us of the etiquette around this. Very interesting!

The pool at times can get a little shady after 3.30pm, however don't be put off by this, the hotel offers a fantastic shuttle service to the Cove beach and Caesar's palace resort throughout the day, that gives you access to their facilities and sun lounger & towel in a prime location - we made great use of the all you can eat buffet at Hell's Kitchen ( this costs 150 AED), and is a nice touch to visit!

This hotel will always remind that you're in a 5-star facility and the great service starts with your check-in! Everytime I enter my room after it has been cleaned I feel that someone caring has visited. My clothes are folded and there will always be extra water bottles.. small details like these make a whole difference.

Then there's the chocolate happy hour and yes with a chocolate fountain. You'll be greeted and served by Mustafa who's always smiling and making sure you're getting enough chocolate. Don't try to resist because he'll make you a plate of his favorite mix and makes sure you won't regret it. Thanks Mustafa!

This is the second time I've stayed at the Ibn Battuta and the hotel has been faultless on both occasions. The staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful, the facilities are excellent, the rooms are large, clean and comfortable and the food is outstanding.
The Mistral restaurant turns out impressive buffets for both breakfast and the evening meal and although the theme changes every evening the quality of the food remains at a high standard. The gym is ideal for a post work workout and the pool is perfect for kicking back in or lazing around at the side of.

The hotel is right next to the Ibn Battuta mall which has plenty of shopping options. The mall of the Emirates and the Dubai Mall are only 15 and 25 minutes away by car respectively, or you can take the metro which takes roughly the same length of time and costs a fraction of the price of a taxi. The airport is easy to get to and the hotel offers a car service which will meet you at the airport and have you relaxing after your flight even before you get to your room.

Overall I can't rate this place enough, highly recommended. I stayed here on a business trip and it was great to come back to the hotel to chill out after a busy day.

Special mention needs to go to Mostafa and his arabic coffee and dates. Watch out for this man during chocolate hour as he will make sure you leave on a sugar high!!

This hotel is a comparable old but very well maintained building next to the Ibn Battuta mall (across the street), which is the oldest mall in Dubai. Of course nothing is really old in Dubai but it is a bit dark inside the rooms (small windows in 215) and not a lot of outside space generally around the hotel (one bar sat the front facing the drive way, pool bar and restaurant terrace). The rooms are clean and the bed is huge. The half board is good with different choices of food both morning and evening in the buffet restaurant. You do get an allowance for the other restaurants if you want to try them.
The staff were all good, super efficient and hosted three brunches over three days with no problems, impressive!
Now the stream gaming (Google Stadia / Microsoft xCloud) didn't work.
I tried Google Stadia with the WiFi being fast enough for 720dpi but stadia.com kept coming back with "WiFi too unreliable to play".
So no stream gaming here till they upgrade the WiFi and there is no LAN connections in the room!

We stayed at the Oaks Ibn Battuta gate from the 3 June to 14th June for 11 nights on an all inclusive basis. After arriving in the early hrs in a private car from DXB we were greeted by friendly staff and checked in quickly by the front desk. Our bags taken to our room by the porter. On entering the room there was a slight musty smell but soon went away with the aircon on. I had informed the hotel before travelling that it was our anniversary and they went out of their way by putting up a banner and balloons wishing us all the best. Our only slight complaint about the room was the carpet had seen better days, just looked off colour and well worn. Otherwise the room was totally adequate with large closet and draw space and also iron and board. Safe in the closet also for security that was free. Bathroom was large with full size bath and shower that you just stood under with screen like a wet room. Clean towels every day. The restaurant was lovely with beautiful food for every sitting. I especially enjoyed the curry dishes every night. Staff were extremely helpful in every part of the hotel from the pool guys to the waiters and cleaners. Special thanks to the front reception staff who helped me contact the UK after my wife fell ill. I cannot thank you enough recommending a hospital, calling a taxi and telling the driver where we needed to go. Also for arranging for some food in our room when we returned in the early hours. This was such a lovely thing to do and we were so grateful. We only ventured out a couple of nights as it was so hot and spent the majority sitting outside listening to good lve music. The bar staff where very good indeed especially Maduranga Wickramarathna you was so so helpful and engaged in light hearted conversation. He gave us some extremely good advice on where to go and how to get there and also just brought a smile to our faces with his pleasant ways. Note to Manager this man Maduranga is a big asset to your hotel and I must admit I would employ him if I could at home. Anyway sorry for going off subject but he was that good. The cafe off the main atrium we felt was a let down as we ordered food, waited 30 mins and nothing happened. Ps we were the only ones in the cafe. Enjoyed the gala night where many different stalls were set up with different dishes. The pool areas were kept very clean and towels given to you on entering the pool area and sunbeds very comfortable with parasols. We found the other pool area on the roof with a jacuzzi which was quiet and tranquil. Overall I cannot say anything disparaging about this lovely hotel and staff. Thank you for a lovely stay

Our first day when we arrived after a long day travelling, our room wasn’t ready & we had to wait 1 hour (this was 8.30am). We were so tired & had to wait in reception. We were then told we couldn’t use the all inclusive while 3pm but they would let us pay with a discount if we were hungry or thirsty. Never really known this on any other holiday after paying for all inclusive…
BUT we were not disappointed from then. The food was absolutely gorgeous at every meal, named branded drinks, service was perfect, the staff at the hotel cannot do enough for you!
Sanjeen the lifeguard upstairs was always chatting to people & always offered fresh towels for around the pool every morning.
On our last night the hotel were trying out a new street food theme night & it was fantastic! Live music, lots of varied food & desserts to chose from we really enjoyed it.
The rooms were also stunning.
Thank you for a perfect first trip to Dubai 😍

Beautiful looking hotel, very grand but unfortunately the food and the service at mealtimes don’t match up to the grandeur of the building. Before we arrived at the hotel we were considering paying half board but very glad we didn’t after sampling breakfast and one evening meal. The saving grace is that the mall is directly opposite, which has lots of food outlets. So we ate there. Breakfast at the hotel isn’t a nice experience. We struggled to find a laid table even when the hotel was quieter. There isn’t much choice on the cooked food side unless you like omelette, which is what we had every day. The organs juice is always empty and there’s never any glasses.

The rooftop pool is enclosed by buildings so you have to keep moving your bed to get the Sun. The big plus with this hotel is there is a daily shuttle bus down to the Riva beach club approx 10 minutes away. It’s a lovely beach with clear, calm waters as it’s on the palm and they serve food which is of a much better quality than the Oaks. Best to get the 10am bus as by 11:30 the beach is full.

Our hotel room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and water provided which is a big plus. Normally the cleaners would come in the daytime when we were out which was perfect but on a couple of occasions they came after 6pm when we were in the room, which wasn’t convenient.

This is good hotel to lay your head at night for the money. If the hotel sorted the quality and variety of food and the service then it could be a lovely hotel.

The staff was very friendly and when I inknowingly lost a euro 100 note, when i was leaving the hotel, they viewed the CCTV cameras and found that it was me who lost it.
They trawled other cameras and convinced themselves whom is was and identified the room, and called me, so i could come back and collect my money.I owe thanks to Ravi, Men and Armstrong for their honesty and professional attitude, and the friendly manner in which they handled the matter.

We initially visited this hotel in Aug 2019 when it was owned by Movenpick Hotels, hence the reason we wanted to return.

I understand that things have changed since Covid, however we were not prepared for the lack of facilities and poor customer service. The minute we checked in, receptionists were slow and disorganised, the room was still not ready at 6pm! We opted for the all inclusive deal, which previously was excellent value. However this visit under the new owners, standards are poor and we were not made aware that all facilities would not be available when booking. The a la cart restaurants were not open, only one buffet restaurant with limited food options was available. Pool bar was under construction, the staff were inattentive and forgetful with some unsure of what was available under the all inclusive option. The 8th floor executive options, where you could eat breakfast, have afternoon tea and pre dinner cocktails was no longer available. Additional area of the pool on 8th floor (gets the sun in the afternoon) was closed! Opening hours of cafe changed from what was advertised. The service in the Moroc lounge was slow and staff lacked initiative, in that I could have a vodka and tomato juice, but my all inclusive did not include a Bloody Mary cocktail !!

I’m assuming some of the issues may relate to staff shortages or lack of staff training, however one of the reasons we wanted to return to this hotel was their amazing service and value for money. We ended up eating out because hotel was just not up to scratch. We would not return and would not recommend!
