Detailed Reviews
Smana Hotel Al Raffa has good services. I stayed for 4 weeks in the hotel. One, in particular, I would like to acknowledge is their Reception Area with special mention to Rummisa.
The receptionists are doing great in addressing the concerns of their hotel guests. As a person who was trained and had months of experience working in the hotel industry knows how things are going on and they did a great job.
However, the reason I give 3 stars for my review because the Housekeeping has to improve their cleaning. Did you know that there were several nights I’ve seen small cockroaches in my room and even in the toilet? When I arrived at the hotel from the outside, my pillowcases are still the same, although 2-3 nights passed.
On a lighter note, the people who cleaned my room were kind and very welcoming individuals. At the same time, attentive to my needs.
Lastly, the price range of the hotel during the summer break was highly commendable. I paid $550 for 30 days. In terms of accessibility, not that good.

The worst part of this hotel is the location. Far from any places to eat, far from metro station or bus stops.
The hotel looks good only if looked superficially. The restaurant's china wares and drinking water glasses were cracked, chipped off edges but still in use. The hotel room light were not working, the bathroom door stopper was placed in an awkward position which made moving around very uncomfortable. Bathroom shaving and toothpaste kits were unavailable during all our five day stay. Bathroom floor was wet and never dried by housekeeping. The ac fan was so loud and when we tried opening the window the neighborhood equipment sounds were loud.
However the staff were decent and food was ok.

were there for 3 nights but enjoyed our stay. the rooms were spacious with all the modern amenities. the only complain was the bath room ie the glass partition for the shower was narrow because of which the floor got wet and water didnt drain off easily. thats the only complain. food was typical indian and bit of european. break fast spread was excellent which was on the top floor with a capacity of almost 100 people. our dinner was in the quite lounge which again was excellent. great taste.
the staff was courteous and very helpful.

Myself and my husband arrived at 7:30 in the morning from the airport and we’re dropped at the back entrance because the taxi driver couldn’t find the main entrance After driving around several times, as it was a hidden dirt track. This wasn’t a good start and got worse. They had no booking for us even though I had the receipt printed out in front of them and then discovered that they had given our room away to someone who had the “same” reservation number as us, even though this was impossible! We eventually got a room an hour and half later and they said so nicely they would give us breakfast for our troubles even though we had actually paid for inclusive breakfast!! What a joke! The next night we discovered that we were on the same level as the night club ( first floor) which we were never told, the music penetrated through the rooms all night and people were smoking all down the corridor.
The hotel itself was filthy, food and dirt all over the floors and the food (breakfast) was strictly Indian cuisine, which we were told was going to be Continental. Our shower was broken so could only sit in the bath to bathe.
Altogether we checked out early and ran to another hotel!! NEVER AGAIN!

I am here now, first night, horrendous.
I am disgusted with the 'hotel' and the staff don't seem to care.
I rarely complain about anything, however, I am currently sleep deprived and very frustrated.
I had to wait for a room, I arrived at 4 PM, when I got the room I had to request a key, I was given 1st floor, I am normally a light sleeper and would have preferred a higher floor, but OK, I booked 4 weeks ago and expressed my preferences.
I have a view of a brick wall. my window doesn't lock.
The swimming pool, well it is very small, gym OK one or two machines with signs saying broken.
At 10 PM their night club blasting out Indian night club music, and I mean blasting started and is open until 3 AM, every night of the week, it is on my floor and has no sound insulation, at all.
I was not informed of this, I can not sleep and I am feeling very angry and frustrated, I have twice requested another room, they will try and give me one tomorrow, on the 4th floor, the noise of this night club.. we will see, I initially booked in for 15 nights, I paid for 2 nights sensing things were not going to go well
There is also NO hot water, just a little warm
They will have to do something amazing to get me to stay any longer than 1 more night

Nice Hotel and affordable but its difficult to get a taxi. Staff are friendly and special thanks to Ms. Kirti in Reception. It's nice to see her on duty every time we come she is very approachable and attentive. Thank you for the clean and beautiful room, also to Concierge Deelip very helpful and friendly staff.

+1
Booked a night here, but we decided to leave early. The room reeks of cigarettes. I requested to have the sheets changed because it had hair and dried boogers on them. The AC was nice and cold, but super loud.

I have spent almost 7 months last year. Service and everything were good. I would recommend this hotel. The hotel staff was also good. Just had an issue with LED, they were using a very old LED TV. The rest of the thing was ok.

I stayed in Hotel Al Raffa in March, 2014. I would say that this is the worst hotel and the hotel management is a fraud. I am sharing my experience and a few other
points to mention:
I booked a package with my family in which Airport Transfers were also included. They have 2 hotel properties with very similar name one is Hotel Samana Al Raffa
(which we actually booked) and the other is Samana Al Riqa. The hotel guy came to pick up from the hotel and inspite of taking us to the actual hotel he took us to
Hotel Samana Al Riqa, which is very small as compared to Samana Al Raffa and location was in some Residential Area. The Rooms were terrible and washrooms were smelly.
They dont even bothered to inform us that this is not the actuall hotel which we booked. We though we might have seens the wrong view of the hotel on internet while
booking.
At around 8 PM we came to know from our relatives in Dubai that this is not the hotel which we originally booked. I asked the reception people (Some stupid Philippnes
reception girl) she said that there is some maintenance going on the other hotel thats why they shifted us here. I resist this and they agreed to transfer us to
original hotel the next day. In Smana Al Raffa we came to know that there is no maintenance going on the actual reason was that this hotel books Large groups and its
their general practice to shift the individual families to other hotel so that their small hotel will get customers and they can earn more by keeping the main hotel
vacant for large groups. After interacting with other people in the hotel we came to know that this is their general practice for small families booking 1 or 2 rooms.
Other Points:
1. They dont provide any Tea or Coffee maker even if its mentioned in their website
2. Internet is very expensive
3. Too far away from main areas.
4. Will take your passport at the reception
5. Noisy night club which creates disturbance.
6. Their room cleaning time is 6 PM in the evening and you can expect the room dirty till 6 Pm in the evening.
7. Very Cheap and Rude Reception people.
I strongly recommend not to stay in this hotel. Totally money minded people who understands that guests have already paid to their tour operators and are left with no option.

Nothing really. Everything in Dubai is spread all over the area. However taxis were quite cheap and could take you anywhere. The metro is not nearby so taxis are the best option
They would not ask you for marriage certificate. You can check-in easily.
