The Royal Central Hotel – The Palm offers an Egyptian-themed atmosphere that captivates guests, complete with a stunning entrance and modern rooms that boast beautiful views. Nestled on a picturesque beachfront, the property's location is seen as a tranquil escape, albeit a bit secluded by some.
While the hotel's cleanliness receives high marks, opinions on the rooms and service vary, noting occasional space concerns and service inconsistencies. Despite the praise for amenities like the beach and pool, the value proposition is questioned by many travelers, particularly regarding the cost of services and food quality.

This was the second time in one year that we stayed at this fantastic Hotel. It is a very modern design furnished and well-kept hotel on the outer crescent of the palm tree with a view into the Palm. We travel a lot both for business and vacation, but during both stays, we had special “family feeling”, which is explained below.
The meals (buffet) was delicious every day and varied, so that you are always able to find something. The service in the restaurant is fantastic and no wish is left open. Jenny, Rosaly and Janice do a fantastic job and are the friendliest servers that have served us for a long time. I can just say great Food, great Service and Bon Appetit.
The rooms are clean, cozy and of a good size. Room Service is good, and we had nothing to complain about.
The pool and beach area are rather small but visually appealing. The Pool and beach staff do a fantastic job. Yes, as in all other Hotels around the world, the Beach loungers are reserved with towel early in the morning already, BUT just ask the staff for help and they will organize something for you in a few minutes. Even if you just "try" to open the Sun Umbrellas, they are there right away and help you. Fantastic job from them.
As a small special, we would recommend that you book a boat tour from at the Water Sports Recreation Center at the beach. We took a cruise with a small boat around the Palm and into the Dubai Marinas. It was a fantastic and fun trip.
The lifeguard John, is great and always has an eye over the complete pool area. The water quality is checked several times a day. they also always help you with special wishes and make you feel safe.
The Pool bar and the Bar on the 9th floor overviewing the Palm. Both Bars are supplied with all of what you need, and the Barkeeper Ashwin is always there to find the perfect drink for you.
Last but not least, I would like to mention the great service from the Limousine Service around Irfan and his team. Yes, you can do “sightseeing” with a taxi or hop on, hop off bus, but we booked a limousine service for a half a day and seen all of the important things to look at. The drive explained lots of things to us and even showed us some things, that you might not see during a “normal” guided tour. We even booked a limousine service to visit the Outlet Mall. The Travel time was shorter then the shuttle bus, since it stops at other Hotels also and it was more comfortable.
Resume for all of the above, if you have a wish, just ask the staff and they will try to solve it for you
Yes, we would and will book this hotel again the next time we stay in Dubai and many thanks to the whole Royal Central the Palm Team for the great service.

Upon arrival I was welcomed by Emanuel, the concierge who took my suitcase and bags out of my car. He was very welcoming and kind. I could clearly tell he loves his job. Every time I ran into him in the lobby he had a smile on his face and was interacting with guests and his colleagues.
Check in procedures went very smoothly, the staff was very nice and chatty, explained where the breakfast was, room upgrade prices and guided one of the staff to bring our suitcases to the room.
I booked a standard room, but partial view on the Burj al Arab, the room was very spacious, large shower and many bathroom amenities (shower gel is amazing). Something I like to see with a standard room. During the day I ran into some cleaning issues, I addressed it to the reception and they apologized for the inconvenience. I read some more reviews and feedback about cleanliness and I told them it might be a systematic problem as it happened more apparently. Specially during the current pandemic, it’s important to have a spotless room. After spending the day at the pool they offered my a free room upgrade due to my concerns of the cleaning. The room was spotless, and had a nice little balcony to have my coffee in the morning.
The pool and beach facilities are really nice. There are sun beds, cabana’s and a clean and pretty beach front on the inner side of the palm. When ordering drinks and food, it took a while before the orders were taken and served, as it seemed that there was only 1 staff to run the whole area in and around the pool. So I ended up waiting for a long time to sign my bill and eventually went to our room to sign it the next day. Extra staff, more profit, happier guests.
The breakfast was buffer breakfast where the chefs and staff plated your preferred breakfast items as per covid-19 restrictions. It’s a clean way to serve breakfast when the hotel is pretty occupied. The quality of coffee and juices were really bad. The orange juice was really sour. The selection of breakfast items was large but quality was relatively poor. For 79 dirhams you would expect a better breakfast.\
All by all I had a lovely stay and the price/quality is really good for a premium location as the palm. The staff is really helpful, and attentive.
I would definitely come back for a staycation here, but quality improvement on the breakfast is really a must, rather less breakfast items and better coffee and juices.

Just returned from a short break to Dubai, staying at the Royal Central, The Palm. The hotel is beautiful and meticulously clean and the staff couldn’t do more for you.
We travelled on an overnight flight arriving at the hotel just after 9am and despite check in being usually 2pm, we had requested an early check in. We were so happy when, on arrival, we were told our room was available immediately, meaning we had the opportunity to catch up on a couple of hours sleep before lunch.
We were on half board which meant breakfast and dinner in the main buffet restaurant. The quality and selection of food was great.
Our room, with a superior sea view, was beautiful and the view from our balcony was stunning and we were delighted to witness the fireworks (Fridays at 9pm) from Atlantis The Palm.
We arranged a trip to the Burj Khalifa from the hotel travel desk (which was amazing) and there are plenty of trips to choose from but I was disappointed when asking about any daytime traditional Dhow trips to be told they were evenings only. We still decided to go to Dubai Marina one of the days we were there to find that Dhow trips were available from 2pm (well worth the £13 or do each we paid) so it seems the travel desk may only advertise trips where perhaps they get some commission on booking - I’m only guessing, but that’s how it seemed.
We would definitely head back to Dubai but despite the hotel being lovely, it’s location is almost the farthest edge of The Palm so getting anywhere from there can be costly and take a while.

I have been travelling to Dubai for over 12 years now so nothing really surprises me anymore as i have seen it all...
I must say that i do not understand the negative reviews about this hotel...
Upon check in staff were very nice and welcoming, the two concierge staff dressed up in ancient Egyptian clothing were very friendly and so helpful, they same as the staff in the front desk. The valet drivers are so friendly and took great care of my car.
The hotel is in between Anantara and rixos on the far eastern crescent, yes a very long drive but worth it. It is a small hotel, not on the same scale as Rixos but they have truly managed to make it work in a city where bigger is always better.
The lobby and entrance are beautiful, the open plan interior is very beautiful and the color scheme fits in so perfectly. The gold lifts are fast and never keep you waiting more than 30 seconds like in other hotels.
The rooms are very clean with very good beds and an amazing bathroom that i can say is similar to that in the Rixos. The balcony views are stunning and it is really nice to go to sleep with the marina lights in the distance and to wake up to sunrise with the Atlantis in the background.
The pool is clean and large and most importantly temp controlled the larger pool is warm and the smaller hot tub pool is hot water, perfect for the colder months in JAN and FEB. Always lots of sunbeds and you have the beautiful view of the Anantara huts across the sea.
A beautiful place to relax in the evening is the roof terrace that gives you amazing views of the palm and marina.
Inside the hotel there is a corner shop that sells almost everything, a beauty salon, spa and several restaurants. So it really is a home away from home
For the level of service and price i paid, i will 100% be coming back without a doubt.

This hotel is rated 5 star on booking.com but is far from being a 5 star. The service is poor and we had to remind the staff multiple times to accommodate our simple requests. The rooms have clear glass balconies that are very close to each other. Neighboring guests from different room can see in your room if your curtains are open and the lights are on which is a shame as the view is so nice and we had to keep the curtains closed and couldn’t enjoy the view. The breakfast and dinner buffet have variety but the food taste is average. Our bathroom had a leak next to the toilet send during our 3 night stay this was not fixed. We were disappointed as we imagined it would be better than this.

If you are looking for a 5 star (services, courtesy, room cleaning, punctuality, excellent breakfast), please change your expectations and you’ll like it as a good 4 star.
The rooms were never cleaned before 17:00 sometimes 18:00, and as we had babies, it was really a problem to match their nap time with an unexpected cleaning that might arrive late or in the afternoon.
You could tell that personnel were told to behave kindly but still they are more a 4 star personnel, nice but not 5*.
Breakfast is far from a descent 4 star as it was nearly the same every day, very very limited choice of fresh fruits and no fresh juices.
Good point was the swimming pool and close distance with beach.
The beach staff were nice and friendly specially with kids.
We had rented a car to visit a bit, it is a must as this hotel is far from being centered. It was more than ok for us as were we’re looking for a calm and relaxing frame.
Globally I’d say it was ok.

The reason for my title is mainly due to the service. It’s mediocre at best. Miserable is the best way to describe the staff - they smile if they have to. They’ll get you what you need if they have to. They’ll respond if they have to. But only if they have to is the challenge. A bit of happiness and a spring in their step might make your holiday feel more upbeat. That said the hotel does have the trappings of 5 star as you can see on the pics but there’s mould in shower curtains, glasses aren’t washed properly, food needs to be a bit hotter and the description of all the bars/restaurants is an art in creative writing! The Hush Bar does not do Latino street food and is not in your all inclusive package so if you wanted bar food you have to pay. Most of the drinks you have to pay for at that bar too. The Japanese restaurant is behind a bar area. We didn’t eat in there because of the quality of elsewhere - bar wasn’t hoovered or polished so felt mucky. Room was good but again the small things like not replenishing tea bags etc stop it from being 5* Beach loungers were a little rusty as were the tables but perfectly functional. Pool was lovely although I imagine in high season you wouldn’t get a bed as they are limited.
I would go back there as it was the equivalent of a 4* hotel so can’t knock it that much but if you’re used to 5* realign you’re expectations and you’ll have a fab time.

Smooth Check-In. Shahz (or maybe Shaz) at the reception is polite.
Clean Rooms and bathrooms. Ajay (BellMan) is prompt at service
Beautiful Pool and Beach View. There are two caretakers and a person who manages pool towels. All of them are very humble
Ishtiaq and Othman in the restaurant take very good care of your stomach. They don’t just suggest you what to eat, but even make bespoke dishes for you
Cherry on the Cake - Indian food Options in Breakfast menu
There are two guards at the entrance who don’t just get a taxi for you everytime you step out, but provide you masks in case you forget to wear one.
The Property has a private beach and a lovely pool where they also serve shisha and drinks
Commendable hospitality which makes this hotel a true 5 star property
I’ve stayed at multiple properties in Dubai (Including Five Palm Jumeirah and Atlantis) and I would particularly recommend this one.
Costed me AED 875 per night. Price is justifiable.

Just returned from a two week stay at this hotel, oh my where do I start. I would not recommend this place, its very expensive but you don't get what you pay for, the customer service her is very bad, English is very badly spoken at this hotel you have to repeat yourself 20 times just to ask a simple question, the girls at the reception is very RUDE I have heard many people complaining whilst I was staying there. You never can get a sun bed the pool boy is taking money from guests to put towels on sunbeds.
I saw him many morning from 6am saving beds for people, I told him that I saw him and I will complain, people only can leave sunbeds unattended for 20 minutes but he will allowed them to do what they want because he is getting paid. There is a photo desk at the hotel the people there will chase you every day all day because they want you to but there photos. I heard a lady from London complaining that they were very expensive and they will ignore you after they take your money, and you will have to wait a long time to get your photos..
As for house keeping this is terrible.
The guy came to clean my room every day at around 5 or 6 just as we came from the beach to have a nap before dinner, most days I turned him away, why can't they clean the rooms during the day, we normally out all day, this is very bad.
If you would like to know anything about what's happening or about dubai the staffs at the desk are useless, they try to Google everything you asked something you Can do yourself.. If you want some help go to Gabriel I think his name is, he try his best to help, the others English are very bad they don't understand you 99% of the time

Although I was offered an upgrade when checked in, I think I it included sea view. I didn’t take up the offer.
I was very pleased with the standard accommodation.
