Detailed Reviews
This hotel has indeed a great location. It is about 5 minutes walk through the covered parking place ( entrance D) to the Emirates Mall and about 10 minutes walk to the red line metro station. The neihgbourhood is very quiet and we felt here very safe. If you take the room 501 - 504 ( or alternatively another floor ) facing large open empty space you can even sleep with the window open. The hotel is probably not 4* hotel according to the europeian "standard" but it is very nice and convenient.
9 out of 10 ! The size of our twin bed room was more than sufficient, the same about the bathroom. The people in the reception were very helpfull, and because the actual low occupancy allowed, we could check out even at 3 p.m. !! No extras. We stayed here four nights to visit Expo so we bought the silver public traffic card ( available at every metro station ) which enabled us very comfort, fast and cheap transportation by metro. The direct journey right to the Expo area takes about 20 minutes drive.
The hotel offers rich buffet breakfast. We did not miss anything. The restaurants in Dubai in general and even in the Mall are quite or even very expensive. The hotel offers very reasonble alternative for both lunch and/or dinner. Several warm courses + soup + non alc. beverages + deserts at fixed price which may vary between 40 - 60 drs p.p. We liked it very much! All in all shoud I travel to Dubai again, this hotel will be my first choice.

From the outside, it doesn't look like much to be honest however the rooms actually took me by surprise (in a good way!). The rooms are modern, colourful, spacious and very comfortable especially the bed. I requested a corner room with a balcony and was very happy with my room. Reception staff are nice and accommodating especially Nanette, housekeeping is decent enough however you need to request toiletries as it doesn't come standard in the bathroom. Free basement parking is provided. The area itself is not the best part of Al Barsha but there are shops and cafeterias around and within walking distance of Mall of Emirates. I would gladly stay here again.

Whole staff was amazing and very polite, from front desk, pool guy, janitor. They were very helpful and they did everything to make my holiday pleasant. Whenever I needed help they always provided it. Room was always clean and tidy!
I would recommend that you eat in hotes restaurant because food is amazing! They have various types of food and it is very delicious and affordable. People working in restaurant are so kind and they will do everything to make your meal tasty and to fill your needs.
I would definitely recommended this hotel and I would come again!

The hotel should be 3 stars, you can't feel it's a 4 stars at all.
The staff aren't professional, maybe except the Asian lady of the reception, but the others aren't professional.
I was shocked when I found the 2 guys at the reception calling my room telling me that I drink a lot of water after I asked for 6 small water bottles for my room per day!!
even my booking was for 2 persons and they see I should take only 2 or 3 bottles, if need more it will be in charge!
Also the WiFi and internet speed is very bad.
The swimming pool is small and the sun leaves it after 2 PM.
The gym is so small
The room size is good, their tea is only black, no green tea there and I bought it from outside "all hotels I have visited had a green tea".
The only good thing in this hotel is the cleanliness, it's clean inside and outside the room.
Also the location can be considered good.

I stayed at MENA PLAZA hotel from 25/12/19 to 01/01/20, a 9D8N solo trip. Staff there never fail to greet me with smiles, making me feel like a little princess. Room service was amazing, the food taste great. I love how every night I can walk down to the shisha that’s behind the hotel, very convenient and reasonably priced.
The hotel is just 5-10 mins walk from Mall of Emirates, you can easily find pharmacy, massage shop and bar, it’s all within the hotel proximity. As it was my first solo trip, the staff knew I was alone, they would take time to ask me about my adventures.
In short, I would love to thank all the staff there which include Arslam, Sudish, Maria, Chris and Ahmad. Whenever I need to ask direction and activities, they never fail to help me check. Honestly, the hotel pictures are exactly as per what they have posted online.
Big room, comfortable bed, clean toilet, universal plug, ironing board, room service etc. I think I can go on forever. If I am gong to visit Dubai again, I will definitely come back to this hotel. Best and reasonably priced.

It is a nice hotel. The location is fine: 10 min to get the Mall of the Emirates. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was delicious. I recommend this hotel to people whom budget is limited if they want to stay in a good hotel in a good location.

Relaxed in the hotel from 1.04 to 11.04.2024, a great hotel with a good location. They arrived in the morning, didn't wait a minute, they checked in immediately. The room is spacious, there is everything you need - refrigerator, kettle, tea and coffee set, safe, floor scales, iron and ironing board, enough hangers in the closet, blackout curtains, bathroom has bidet and various disposable accessories - razor machine, toothbrushes and so on. The room has a very comfortable huge bed, excellent pillows, snow white linen and towels. We had a room with a balcony. The hotel instantly responds to requests, asked to open the balcony (it locks to the key) while they were going up in the elevator - the balcony was already opened. Cleaning was also carried out regularly, water, tea and coffee bags were replenished, all without any reminders. Breakfasts are standard - a basic set, so to speak, everything is delicious, definitely not going to stay hungry. The hotel is a 7-10 minute walk from Mola Emirates and a bus stop, and a metro station is an 11-15 minute walk away. It's close and very comfortable! We'd love to get back to it if we flew back to the UAE.

We came to the hotel for the third time in September with my husband. And once again we were convinced that if Dubai, then only Mena Plaza. Thanks to all the hotel staff (reception, restaurant, cleaning, everyone). You are all great guys, friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the gentleman from the reception (unfortunately, I don’t remember his name), who helped me solve the laptop problem almost overnight. Although his work was already over, he stayed with my problem until the end. When leaving at night, we forgot several things in the room, and the guys promptly responded by email that our things were in order and would be kept with them until our next arrival.
And to people who take down a hotel’s rating because of some speck of dust or a piece of soap, I would like to say, don’t be petty, keep it clean and tidy, and perhaps you, like us, won’t need daily cleaning.
Restaurant and food, everything is good. If someone is poor, then he probably confuses Dubai with all-inclusive resorts.
Be kinder and the world will reach out to you.
Thank you Mena Plaza and see you soon.

I stayed at Mena Plaza Al Barsha Hotel in Dubai in March 2020. The Hotel is located near (just 5 minute walk from) the Mall of the Emirates which is convenient to get to the Beach ot any sights from. There is a bus stop and a Metro station nearby.
I’d also like to mention the staff which was always kind, helpful and absolutely friendly! Especially in the dining area I’d like to specify Joemer, Melanie and the chef Raj (for delicious meal).
I recommend the Hotel for your staying, whether you are visiting on business or for pleasure.
