We stayed at Barsha heights for a week with our 2 children, the stay included a continental breakfast.
The apartment was clean and spacious overlooking a breathtaking view of Sheikh Zayed Road. Situated a 2 minute walk from the metro and across the road from burger King and Zoom (convenience store) which was handy for us to pick up snacks or food in the late evening.
The staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was always cleaned to perfection every day. The hotel is at an ideal location to get to the beaches and malls, highly recommended.

I have been living at this hotel for many years and can safely say that the staff are so professional and friendly and accommodating. Especially the cleaning/housekeeping staff on level 22 (Mr Saugat, and managers Mr Jagdish and Mr Mohammad Z) , who ensure that the room is cleaned to the highest standards and no request is too much trouble. Mr Saugat does a great job in cleaning my room, and remembering my special preferences and timing for cleaning. Also, all staff follow strict hygiene standards, including wearing gloves, masks and using special cleaning products to ensure everything is safe and virus free, which is very reassuring. Also, the concierge staff in the lobby are really helpful, always helping me, even coming outside in the heat to assist me with my shopping bags, which is much appreciated.

checkedin in Dec 2019 in 1 bedroom apartment. Welcomed by the front desk personal with a good smile and escorted me to long term desk. Long term desk personals- Rose and Roda were very professional and great customer service. Another team that has been taking good care of me is the Housekeeping team. Samuel, Nitshti, Saru and Sadam takes good care of their guests and ensures guests are always happy during the stay. Nitshti and Samuel personally met me and provided their business cards so that i can message them if an requirement arises. The team provided all the essential utensils, ensures rooms are clean (cleaning twice a week), towels all set and garbage collected on a daily basis. There are other personals like housekeeping staff, technicians and room dining staff who does really good job.
Property is well maintained, clean and safe. Security personals are present 24/7. Gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room available. A small super market and pharmacy available on the ground floor 24/7. Metro just 30 meters far. Ideal place for family, business travellers and long term stays.
All the staff greets their guests with a beautiful smile. Great quality for people in the service industry.

Dear reader, I was a guest in their establishment for a few months, so I guess I can give a reasonable overview. Room service food is poor, I tried a number of dishes they usually arrive overcooked and only warm, and it usually takes a long time, if you order coffee only, your are fine, don't worry.
Room cleaning, these guys try their best and are super friendly and try hard to satisfy, however due to lack of work they work month on / month off and staff I therefore guess is a skeleton crew, so after two meetings with housekeeping management cleaning was better but needed kind reminders.
In room amenities, I had a two balconies then a room with one balconie , you have to remind and insist it is cleaned, the furniture is very old and not really well kept, had to change it out.
Fridge had to get it changed as it broke down twice, and the washing machines in both the rooms will damage your clothes.
Depending on Long-term booking staff, you get super helpful to no motivation to do much at all.
Lifts have issues, some work, some don't, so do not be in a hurry...
Finally if you are a Accor Member, and long stay, you will not get any points for your loyalty.
If your company decides to move you to another location, no matter how hard you beg, forget it they will not hear you or care, you are done for, they keep the money as much as possible and hasta la vista.....
On the positive side, bell boys and security personnel, they really are friendly, helpful a good bunch of people.
A very average to borderline bad experience.

The hotel is old with poor access from the street for cars. The check in is disorganised and extremely slow as is the checkout. The rooms are set in very old furniture and the apartment we had (organised through Accor) only had small window facing brick walls with no light entering the apartment.
The Accor 2 for 1 meal discounts were not counted.
The apartment was booked for 3 adults and two children. When given three beds we were told it was expected that child was to sleep with adult in king bed or pay extra 120 per night for additional roller bed.
There was a fire drill one night where we and other guests evacuated the apartment and ran down fire escape in Pyjamas with essential belongings. No one ever ever explained it was a drill ( at 8pm night)
The hotel locked us out of our room when they wanted to discuss our booking as there were issues with the Accor booking process resultsing in confusion over payment.
The advertised pool bar never was staffed and we visited every day at different times.
The kitchen had only had only sets of two glasses and cutlery in 5 person apartment.

About the extra charges for the bed, this is a hotel policy, where extra bed is chargeable and it is clearly mentioned to our website or any online booking. I had visited Mercure hotel on Christmas for 5 nights with my mom, sister, husband and an infant.
First we had booked an appartment with kitchen but apparently we were given suite without kitchen saying that the booking came under suite category. Second they have a weird policy of one water bottle one room irrespective the fact that 5 ppl are staying in that suite. And refill of water by them used to take time at times we had to call thrice for the same. Since it was getting a challenge with the kid of waiting for water we bought some water from near by zoom store.
Last the bfast menu. Same menu for five days with only sabzi changing every alternate day for vegetarians
No variety for vegetarians and taste of food below average.
Also the hotel is not very close to Indian cuisines so someone who is going with a kid or parents this won’t be a recommended option. One can get better hotels in better locality where Indian cuisines and market are near by (Meena bazaar side). Rooms are spacious and nice.

About the water bottle, we are providing one bottle daily in each room with free of charge and additional is upon request from the guests and due to the high occupancy of the hotel, we are experiencing delayed in service and crowded, especially in peak hours. The location of the hotel is nearby with some shops like supermarket, pharmacy & petrol station and with a direct access in the metro station where you can easily visit most of the big shopping malls in Dubai and beautiful tourist spot in Dubai Area. we had a late check - in since the flight was delayed. however when we reached the hotel we were in for a surprise we had booked a one bedroom apartment but were upgraded to a suite. the room was on the 37th floor overlooking the Burj Al Arab. However we could not take the offer since we had a 3 year old and the suite didnt have a kitchen and we happily changed it to the one bhk apartment.
the room was huge which was also on the top floors (21st floor) we were happy with that as well
my daughter was beyond thrilled and so were we. at the end we had to make sure she enjoyed her stay since we booked the place for a week.
apart from the rooms being spacious and clean, we had housecleaning everyday by he time we were back the place was back to what it looked when we first checked in
the reservations, concierge, cleaners were always available making sure we were well attended and were polite. on check out my daughters suitcase was left behind and being in a diff country we panicked, however we were assured that the bag was kept in security and that we could pick it anytime.
Thank you Mercure for the lovely stay we definitely coming back :)

Housekeeping is great here, everything is left spotless, neat, shiny and the room just smells amazing. There is more than just vacuuming and mopping floors as thought is even given to how towels are folded.Thank you for all your hard work as usual.

Excellent location of the hotel in the center of city. Good food and good hospitality by Mr. Mujahid the way he assisted us hygiene measure by providing regular sanitizer,masks,gloves and many other items in precaution measures. Such a lovely stay, rooms were super clean and asked Ahmed which is super clean rooms attendant who's handling the housekeeping in the property so the told me it's Mr. Mohamed Ziada, I met him and the supervisor Hasitha personally latter on and both are such lovely people, professional business wise knows a lot of the industry.
I also ate from the Turkish restaurant and the food was really fabulous.
When it comes to this property I won't even think for one time to stay. Cleaning wise this property is one in every 300 hotels and Turkish food was really delicious.
The top management is really wise for choosing the housekeeping manager and the Turkish restaurant chef

You are right. The Apartments and Suites have the option of 2 double beds also.
You may check about roll-in bed as well.
Yes, it has. It is rather small, but suitable for small children.
Don't remember about the steps into the pool. I just slide in.
There is shade area around the pool.
