We had an excellent experience in this hotel. The location is supreme, practically 15 minutes from the main attractions. There is a taxi stop in front of the hotel which makes it a lot easier. I strongly recommend you use beige-colored taxis, avoiding calling Uber. We had two terrible experiences with Uber. Drivers accepting the race and approaching the hotel practically gave a turn and vanished waiting for us to cancel. This is not the case with official taxis, which are government concessions. At our departure from the hotel they prepared a breakfast for us, since our flight departed very early. The hotel staff is excellent extremely attentive. We had a very pleasant stay at Media Rotana hotel. We were 3 people (2 adults and 1 teenager) in a standard triple room and the room was very spacious, which easily fitted large king size bed, another single bed and a sofa for comfortable sitting. We were on the top floor, so the view of Dubai was amazing. The room was cleaned every day and was very clean. The restaurant staff despite being extremely busy during breakfast times, were always polite and attentive. Food was very tasty in both buffet and Italian restaurant. Italian restaurant is a-la-carte and has very large portions of tasty food. We used shuttle bus to the beach a couple of times. It was good to have as an option but be aware that these buses are small and always busy. We preferred to use Metro that is very close walking distance from hotel (7 mins walk) and is very cheap. Taxi is also always available just in front of the hotel entrance. I would like to thank the hotel staff for being always attentive, quick, polite and welcoming. We had a very pleasant stay.

Would have been 5 stars apart from few niggly small things but overall we would stay here again.
When we arrived we were given the option to upgrade to a top floor suite which we accepted as it was just under an extra £20 per night, room was nice with living room with a toilet etc and bedroom with ensuite, good quality toiletries, White Company etc, only fault was not great view from room just motorway etc but we were not in room much anyways.
We went All Inclusive for 10 nights and although we were a little concerned there was no need to be as alcoholic drinks were available freely from midday until 12.30am in all bars etc.
Terrace bar was nice to sit and have a dip in the pool when needed, bar staff could do to clear tables when passing etc as we were always taking our glasses and plates up to bar as they didn't seem to be keen to do this, special shout out to Lester always smiling and never stops, he did clear tables hopefully the rest will learn. Pool attendant Sijade worked hard all day always helping all guests getting a sunbed.
Channels restaurant was vast choices which mainly Asian foods and it was buffet style and something for everyone, this also does the breakfast in the morning.
Preggos for me was the best Italian restaurant I've ever seen when travelling, staff very attentive and food excellent.
Nelson pub was just like a UK bar where you can get typical UK foods, fish n chips, jacket potatoes etc, it does get busy at weekends but staff always checking if we wanted another drink etc, Big shout out to doorman Big Bome absolute gentleman always opening door for guests and always smiling, give him a pay rise.
Guest relations were superb at helping us find a special chocolate bar which someone asked for on our last night in hotel which they managed to order for us and had it delivered by midday the next day as we were leaving that night. Derrick and other chap sorry can't remember your name thank you.
All Inclusive guest get different menu from other guests but there are still loads to choose from and 3 course meals 3 times per day if you can manage it, drinks are similar, lager is bottles of Heineken or amstel, spirits absolut vodka, tanquery gin, rum and whisky can't remember which brands, loads of alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails so plenty of choices if you go all inclusive.

The staff were very friendly on arrival and the lobby is very grand and clean. The location of the hotel is by the motorway but is only 10/15 minutes away from all main attractions. There are taxis outside all the time, and the staff are very good at flagging them over. The pool area was a disappointment for us as there is no sun on it all day, there is large terrace and a bar area but has table and chairs , I would recommend changing this area into a sunbed area rather than seating , as least it has some sun. The rooms are very spacious which was very nice, however we did have to keep asking for more tissue and they missed cleaning our room a couple of times. However they supplied lots of water and were very attentive when we asked to clean the room. Breakfast is good . I think this hotel is very good value for money , but I wouldn’t stay again due to the shaded pool area. Thank you to all the friendly staff .

I was on a short trip in Dubai and my company booked me in this hotel. My flight arrived early in the morning. The hotel has granted my request for an early checked-in upon arrivla and got an upgrade to a premium room with a minimal fee. It's worth the upgrade. Thanks to Diana of the front desk who has made this possible. Room is very neat with spacious washroom. Very quick guest services when required from additional toiletries, cork opener, extra water, etc. Rooms are well insulated from noise outside nor from the adjacent room so you can sleep well here. Hotel location is a bit far from the airport but it is near the DIC metro and with a daypass you can move around Dubai easily. Don't miss to take dinner at their cozy restaurant Pregos where ambiance is superb. Plenty of choices for wines. Highly recommended hotel in Dubai.

Very good hotel. We chose this place to go to different places. There are many transfers on a large bus, from the beaches - marina beach, where there are several trips, and even in the evening - you can walk around the Marina, Bluewaters and return to the hotel. The driver is always punctual, polite, and careful. Clean large beach towels were provided every morning. The standard room is large, cleaned well. The staff is all correct and friendly. With a child we always take half board; lunch and dinner can be changed without question. The buffet schedule is convenient. The food is delicious, high quality, there are a lot of dishes. The staff in the hall works efficiently, they quickly begin to recognize you, greet you, remember your preferences, it’s very pleasant.
